What is Iron's Lib?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Iron's Lib is a library mod. Its job is to provide common functionality and content for Iron's mods, so it's mostly a foundation that other mods build on rather than something you play with directly.[1]

Under the hood it adds reusable frameworks for those mods, plus a Patreon Integration API layer. If you're curious what it brings to the table, here's what it currently supports:[1]

  • A Transmog Table block and an Armor Transmog Framework.[1]
  • Player Statue blocks, along with Player Statue asset generation and structure generation tools.[1]
  • A Decorative Statue Framework for creating dynamic multiblocks and rendering baked statue models.[1]
  • Patreon Integration support for all of the above.[1]

Version in the pack

This pack ships Iron's Lib 1.21.1-2.1.0. It was already included in an earlier release (6.4 or before), so it's a long-standing part of the modlist.[2]

Where it fits in progression

Unverified No quests in this pack involve Iron's Lib, it isn't on the ATM Star path, and no in-jar guidebook was found for it. Nothing here confirms it as a progression step, so treat it as a supporting library.

How do you get started with Iron's Lib?

3 parts

Iron's Lib is a library mod. It provides shared content and frameworks for other Iron's mods, plus a Patreon integration layer, so there is very little to set up. The one thing you can make yourself is the transmog table.[1]

Make the Patreon Transmog Table

The Patreon Transmog Table is the block that goes with the mod's armor transmog framework. It is the first thing worth crafting, because the mod's other blocks are decorative or tied to Patreon features. Here is the in-pack recipe:[1][3]

Know what the table checks

Transmog options are tied to Patreon status. If you lack the permission, the tooltip shows "Missing transmog permissions". Individual options also show "Requires %s Patreon Status", where %s is filled in with the required level. So some options may be locked for you even with a working table.[4]

The Patreon Statue

The mod also adds a Patreon Statue block. Use a nametag of a Patron on it to set the player, then crouch-click it to edit the pose. Click to set a pose from the list, which includes Applause, Ballet, Waving and Zombie.[1][4]

Tip: You don't need to configure anything for this mod. It is a library, and its useful content is the transmog table and the statue.[1]

How does Iron's Lib work?

4 parts

Iron's Lib is a library that provides common functionality and content for Iron's mods, so it has no machines, power or fluid handling of its own to automate. What the sources here cover is a small set of blocks and frameworks: the transmog table, player statues, a decorative statue framework and the Patreon integration layer. Anything beyond that I can't confirm, so I've left it out.[1]

Patreon Transmog Table

The Patreon Transmog Table is the block behind the library's Armor Transmog Framework. It is part of the Patreon integration, so what you can do with it depends on your Patreon status.[1][4]

The mod's text shows how that gating works. Transmog options carry a line saying they require a certain Patreon status. If you lack the permissions, the tooltip tells you they are missing. The transmog title tooltip is headed with a diamond symbol and the name of the option.[4]

Patreon Statue

The mod also adds Player Statue blocks, shown in game as the Patreon Statue. Besides the blocks, the library covers player statue asset generation and structure generation tools.[1][4]

The block's in-game guide text gives you these controls for setting one up:[4]

  1. Use a nametag of a Patron to set which player the statue shows. A statue with no player set is labelled Unset.[4]
  2. Crouch-click the statue to edit its pose, then click to set the pose you want.[4]

The poses you can choose from are: Applause, Archery, At Guard, Attention, Ballet, David, Dramatic, Exploring, Fallen, Heart, Kneeling, Marionette, Mourn, Neutral, Pointing Forward, Reaching, Ready to Strike, Sitting, Squat, Statue, Walking, Waving and Zombie.[4]

Decorative Statue Framework

Under the hood, the library includes a Decorative Statue Framework. It is used for creating dynamic multiblocks and for rendering baked statue models.[1]

Attributes defined by the mod

Iron's Lib's language file also names several player attributes. These are what each one means:[4]

  • Armor Pierce: bypasses this number of enemy armor points.[4]
  • Arrow Damage: a percentage increase to arrow-like projectiles.[4]
  • Critical Damage: a percentage increase to the critical hit multiplier.[4]
  • Dodge Chance: a percent chance to negate incoming damage, with a flair.[4]
  • Experience Gained: a percentage increase to experience dropped from mobs and blocks.[4]
  • Healing Received: a percentage increase to healing received.[4]
  • Mining Speed: a percentage increase to mining speed.[4]

How do you progress through Iron's Lib?

The sources for this pack show no tier ladder for Iron's Lib. The one craftable item they list is the Patreon Transmog Table, so there is a single recipe to follow.[3]
