What is Iron's Lib?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Iron's Lib is a library mod. Its job is to provide common functionality and content for Iron's mods, so it's mostly a foundation that other mods build on rather than something you play with directly.[1]

Under the hood it adds reusable frameworks for those mods, plus a Patreon Integration API layer. If you're curious what it brings to the table, here's what it currently supports:[1]

  • A Transmog Table block and an Armor Transmog Framework.[1]
  • Player Statue blocks, along with Player Statue asset generation and structure generation tools.[1]
  • A Decorative Statue Framework for creating dynamic multiblocks and rendering baked statue models.[1]
  • Patreon Integration support for all of the above.[1]

Version in the pack

This pack ships Iron's Lib 1.21.1-2.1.0. It was already included in an earlier release (6.4 or before), so it's a long-standing part of the modlist.[2]

Where it fits in progression

Unverified No quests in this pack involve Iron's Lib, it isn't on the ATM Star path, and no in-jar guidebook was found for it. Nothing here confirms it as a progression step, so treat it as a supporting library.

How do you get started with Iron's Lib?

3 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Iron's Lib is a library mod. It provides shared content and frameworks for other mods by the same author, plus a Patreon integration layer. It is small, and the one item you can craft yourself is the Transmog Table.[1]

Craft the Transmog Table

The mod provides a Transmog Table block and an Armor Transmog Framework. The Patreon Transmog Table is the first thing to make. The pack changed this recipe, so use the one below.[1][3]

This is the pack's own version of the recipe.

Know the Patreon limits

Transmog options can require a Patreon status. The tooltips show a requirement line for this, and a "Missing transmog permissions" message appears if you don't have the access an option needs.[1][4]

Player Statues

The mod also adds Player Statue blocks. The in-game hints say to use a nametag of a Patron to set the player, and to crouch-click to edit the pose.[1][4]

How does Iron's Lib work?

3 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.2 guide

Iron's Lib is a library mod, so it doesn't have machines, power or fluid systems of its own. It provides shared frameworks for other mods, plus a Patreon integration layer. It currently supports a transmog table block with an armor transmog framework, player statue blocks with asset and structure generation tools, and a decorative statue framework for dynamic multiblocks and baked statue models.[1]

The sources don't describe any power, fluid or item automation for this mod, so there is nothing to wire up here.[1]

Patreon Transmog Table

The Patreon Transmog Table is the block for the armor transmog framework. Its tooltips show that transmog options can require a particular Patreon status, and that you get a "Missing transmog permissions" message if you don't have the right one.[1][4]

The pack changed this recipe from the mod's own. Here is the version you'll use in this pack:[5]

Crafting Shaped

Crafting Shaped
any gold ingot
Smithing Table

Recipe id: irons_lib:transmog_table

When you break the table, it drops itself. The irons_patreon_lib version of the block uses the same drop, so you get the irons_lib table either way.[6][7]

Patreon Statue

The Patreon Statue shows a player. The mod's own in-game hints tell you how to set it up.[4]

  1. Use a nametag of a Patron on the statue to set which player it shows. Until you do, it displays as Unset.[4]
  2. Crouch-click the statue to edit its pose.[4]
  3. Click to set the pose you want. Choices include Applause, Archery, Ballet, Sitting, Waving and Zombie, among many others.[4]

If you pick the statue up again, it keeps its data. The loot table copies the statue item data from the block entity onto the dropped item, and this works the same for the irons_patreon_lib version of the statue.[8][9]

Attributes the library defines

Iron's Lib also registers a set of player attributes that other mods can build on. These are the descriptions from its language file:[4]

  • Armor Pierce: bypasses this number of enemy armor points.[4]
  • Arrow Damage: percentage increase to arrow-like projectiles.[4]
  • Critical Damage: percentage increase to the critical hit multiplier.[4]
  • Dodge Chance: percent chance to negate incoming damage, with a flair.[4]
  • Experience Gained: percentage increase to experience dropped from mobs and blocks.[4]
  • Healing Received: percentage increase to healing received.[4]
  • Mining Speed: percentage increase to mining speed.[4]

The library doesn't show where these attributes come from, so check the mods that use them to see which items or effects grant them. The pack has no config files for Iron's Lib, so there is nothing to tune on your side.[4]

How do you progress through Iron's Lib?

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.2 guide

In the sources for this pack, the only thing you can craft from Iron's Lib is the Patreon Transmog Table. There is no tier ladder to climb here, just this one block.[5]

The pack changes the recipe for the Patreon Transmog Table, so don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults. Here is the exact in-pack recipe:[5]

Patreon Transmog TableChanged by the pack

Crafting Shaped

Crafting Shaped
any gold ingot
Smithing Table

Recipe id: irons_lib:transmog_table

This is the pack's changed recipe: a smithing table plus any gold ingot.

Because the recipe accepts any item from the gold ingots tag, you can make one as soon as you have a smithing table and some gold.[5]

Tip: When you break a Transmog Table, it drops itself with no extra conditions, so you can pick it up and move it without losing it.[6][7]

The mod also has a player statue block. When you break one, the dropped item copies the statue's saved item data from the block, so that data comes along with the item you pick up.[8][9]
