What is IntegratedTunnels?
1 part
IntegratedTunnels is part of the pack at version 1.10.0, and it has been in the pack since 1.22.0 or earlier. In this pack you meet it through its parts: interfaces, importers and exporters that come in item, fluid and energy versions, plus a handful of world-facing parts and a player simulator.[1][2][3]
If you follow the quest book, you will pick these parts up as quest tasks. For example, the item set is Part Interface Item, Part Importer Item and Part Exporter Item. The fluid and energy sets follow the same pattern, such as Part Interface Fluid and Part Interface Energy.[2][3]
Where it shows up in the quests
- Integrated Dynamics chapter: "Interacting With Your Network" quest asks for an item, fluid or energy interface, and "Importers and Exporters" quest comes right after it and asks for an importer and an exporter.[2]
- Also in that chapter, there are four quests for the world versions of the importer and exporter: "World Item Components" quest for items, "World Block components" quest for blocks, "World Fluid Components" quest for fluids and "World Energy Components" quest for energy.[2]
- The final quest in that chapter, "Player Simulator" quest, asks for the Part Player Simulator. It unlocks after the world item and world block quests.[2]
- Logistics chapter: three quests each ask for the interface, exporter and importer of one type. They are "Item Interfaces" quest for items, "Fluid Interfaces" quest for fluids and "Energy Interfaces" quest for energy.[3]
Unverified The sources don't show detailed behavior, recipes or config options for this mod, and they don't place it on the ATM Star quest path. Check in-game before relying on any specific mechanic.
How do you get started with IntegratedTunnels?
5 parts
IntegratedTunnels adds parts that move items, fluids and energy through an Integrated Dynamics network. In this pack the quest book lines them up in a clear order, and the recipes build on each other the same way. Here is the order and the reason for each step.[2][3][4]
Step 1: Make an interface
Start with an interface. There is one for each resource: Part Interface Item for items, Part Interface Fluid for fluids and Part Interface Energy for energy.[4]
The logistics chapter has one quest per resource: "Item Interfaces" quest for items, "Fluid Interfaces" quest for fluids and "Energy Interfaces" quest for energy. In the integrated dynamics chapter, "Interacting With Your Network" quest accepts any one of the three interfaces.[2][3]

Step 2: Turn it into an importer and an exporter
"Importers and Exporters" quest comes right after the interface quest in the integrated dynamics chapter, and it asks for an importer and an exporter. These are the parts that actually move things in and out of the network.[2]
For items you want Part Importer Item and Part Exporter Item. Fluid and energy versions exist too: Part Importer Fluid, Part Exporter Fluid, Part Importer Energy and Part Exporter Energy. The mod's advancements give you first jobs to try, like importing all items with an Item Importer, or exporting items into an inventory until 10 items are in it with an Item Exporter.[4][5]

Step 3: Go into the world
The world parts work on blocks and items in the world instead of on inventories. The pack has a separate quest for each type: "World Item Components" quest for items, "World Block components" quest for blocks, "World Fluid Components" quest for fluids and "World Energy Components" quest for energy. Each one asks for the world importer and the world exporter of that type.[2]
The world item parts are Part Importer World Item and Part Exporter World Item. The world block parts are Part Importer World Block and Part Exporter World Block. The advancements give you small tests to try, like breaking Stone with a World Block Importer, or dropping all items with a World Item Exporter.[4][5]

Step 4: The Player Simulator
"Player Simulator" quest asks for the Part Player Simulator, and it unlocks only after the world block and world item quests. Its recipe uses both world block parts and both world item parts, so you need Step 3 done first. One of the mod's advancements has you click with a Diamond Sword using a Player Simulator.[2][4][5]

Optional: filtering interfaces
If you want an interface to filter what it exposes, there are filtering versions: Part Interface Filter Item, Part Interface Filter Fluid and Part Interface Filter Energy. One of the mod's advancements uses a Filtering Item Interface to expose an inventory's contents only during daytime.[4][5]

How does IntegratedTunnels work?
6 parts
Integrated Tunnels moves items, fluids and energy between networks, inventories and the world. You drive each part with variables: the write aspects do their job when the boolean you feed them is true. The parts are built from Integrated Dynamics components, so this mod sits on top of that one.[4][5][6]
The part ladder
Everything starts with an interface for each resource: Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid and Part Interface Energy. Importers and exporters (for example Part Importer Item and Part Exporter Item) are crafted from the matching interface. The world versions are in turn crafted from the matching normal importer or exporter.[4]

What the parts do
- Importers and exporters move items, fluids or energy when their boolean is true. The world versions do the same with the world in front of them, including entities that face them.[5]
- The world block importer picks up the given block in the world, and the world block exporter places it. One advancement has you place logs with a World Block Exporter using the 'logs' tag list.[5]
- The player simulator can click with any item or with an empty hand. It can also simulate sneaking and a continuous click. Without a continuous click, each click takes one tick.[5]
- World aspects take offsets between 0 and 1, yaw and pitch between -180 and 180 degrees, and an entity velocity between 0 and 25. The entity index picks the n-th entity, and -1 always picks a random one.[5]
- You can also read the network. There are aspects for the total and maximum item and fluid counts, the count of one specific item or fluid, the full list of stacks, and the number of valid interfaces.[5]
Filtering and matching options
The mod offers several switches for controlling what moves. A blacklist option handles everything except the items in your list. An empty-is-any option decides whether an empty value matches everything or nothing. Exact amount and stack size checks only move things when the amount matches exactly, and NBT options can require, ignore or compare NBT tags as a subset or superset. Predicates can be checked slot by slot instead of on stacked items.[5]
Interfaces have their own options. A filter can apply to insertions into the network, to extractions from it, or both. There is also a passive IO option, which lets the target insert into or extract from the network. A round robin option iterates interfaces in circular order and ignores priorities.[5]
Energy cost in this pack
The pack's config sets a base energy usage for each part. Item importers and exporters use 1 each, for example general.general.importerItemBaseConsumption. The interfaces use 0, for example general.general.interfaceItemBaseConsumption.[6]
World importers and exporters for blocks, energy, fluids and items use a base of 1 when they do not have a variable, for example general.general.exporterWorldItemBaseConsumptionDisabled. With a variable the base is 32, for example general.general.exporterWorldItemBaseConsumptionEnabled.[6]
The player simulator uses a base of 1 without a variable (general.general.playerSimulatorBaseConsumptionDisabled). With a variable it uses 64 (general.general.playerSimulatorBaseConsumptionEnabled). The file calls these the base energy usage and does not state units.[6]
Speed, safety and world interaction
- Importers and exporters that find nothing to do can go to sleep. They must fail for 3 ticks (core.general.inventoryUnchangedTickCount) before sleeping, then sleep for 10 ticks (core.general.inventoryUnchangedTickTimeout) before checking their targets again.[6]
- The maximum network fluid transfer rate is 2,147,483,647 (core.general.fluidRateLimit).[6]
- When a block is broken and its drops do not all fit into the target, the extra items are ejected into the world. They would be voided otherwise. This is on in the pack (core.general.ejectItemsOnBlockDropOverflow).[6]
- The same eject behaviour applies when an item handler reports inconsistent movement in simulation mode. If it were off, items could be voided (core.general.ejectItemsOnInconsistentSimulationMovement).[6]
- The list of blocks that world block importers refuse to pick up is empty in the pack (core.general.blockImporterBlacklist). It takes regex patterns for block ids.[6]
- Particles and sounds play when tunnels interact with the world (core.general.worldInteractionEvents).[6]
Pack-specific tag changes
The pack's block tag script adds the item interface, the filtering item interface, the item importer and exporter, and the world item importer and exporter to two tags: ars_nouveau:no_break_drop and craftingstation:blacklisted. The fluid, energy and world block parts are not on that list.[7]
How do you progress through IntegratedTunnels?
5 parts
In this pack, IntegratedTunnels progression is a short ladder. You start with interfaces, move up to importers and exporters, then to the world versions, and finish with the player simulator. The Integrated Dynamics quest chapter follows that order, and every step is a crafting recipe from the mod.[2][4]
Tier 1: Interfaces
Everything starts with the three interface parts: Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid and Part Interface Energy. The quest "Interacting With Your Network" quest in the Integrated Dynamics chapter is completed by getting any one of them.[2]
Crafting Shaped
| any wooden chest | ||
Recipe id: integratedtunnels:crafting/part_interface_item
The fluid and energy interfaces have their own recipes of the same shaped type.
Tier 2: Importers and exporters
Next you get the importer and exporter parts for items, fluids and energy. The quest "Importers and Exporters" quest unlocks after the interface quest and asks for one importer and one exporter, of any of the three types. The Logistics chapter has a separate quest per resource type, which asks for the interface, exporter and importer together: "Item Interfaces" quest for items, "Fluid Interfaces" quest for fluids and "Energy Interfaces" quest for energy.[2][3]
Both parts are shapeless recipes that build on the matching interface. Here are the item versions.[4]

Tier 3: World importers and exporters
The world parts let your network interact with the world itself. There are four pairs, each with its own quest: items ("World Item Components" quest), blocks ("World Block components" quest), fluids ("World Fluid Components" quest) and energy ("World Energy Components" quest). Each quest wants both the importer and the exporter of that kind, for example Part Importer World Item and Part Exporter World Item.[2]
Each world part is crafted from the regular importer or exporter of the matching type. The block versions, Part Importer World Block and Part Exporter World Block, are built from the item importer or exporter, and their recipes have one extra requirement that the item versions do not.[4]

Tier 4: Player simulator
The last step is Part Player Simulator. Its quest, "Player Simulator" quest, only unlocks after you finish both the item and the block world quests. That matches the recipe, which needs the item and block world parts.[2][4]

How does IntegratedTunnels work with other mods?
4 parts
In this pack, the recipes and quests that link IntegratedTunnels to other mods all lead to Integrated Dynamics. Besides that, a few vanilla items show up as ingredients.[4]
Interface parts
The item, fluid and energy interface parts are where the chain starts. Each one is crafted with a Crystallized Menril Chunk. The item interface pairs it with a wooden chest, the fluid interface with a Bucket, and the energy interface with an Energy Battery.[4]

Quest progression
The Integrated Dynamics quest chapter follows the same order. "Interacting With Your Network" quest asks for an interface of any of the three types. "Importers and Exporters" quest comes after it and asks for an importer and an exporter. The world fluid, energy, block and item parts each have their own quest: "World Fluid Components" quest, "World Energy Components" quest, "World Block components" quest and "World Item Components" quest. The block and item quests lead on to "Player Simulator" quest, which asks for the Part Player Simulator.[2]
A separate logistics chapter has one quest each for the energy, fluid and item sets of interface, exporter and importer: "Energy Interfaces" quest, "Fluid Interfaces" quest and "Item Interfaces" quest.[3]
Which FTB Skies 2 quests use IntegratedTunnels?
2 parts
This mod shows up in two quest chapters in the pack: integrated_dynamics and logistics. Both are about getting items, fluids and energy moving with the mod's parts, so they're a good checklist while you build your first setups.[2][3]
Integrated Dynamics chapter
This chapter starts with the basic parts and then moves on to the world-facing ones. Here's the order, and each step unlocks after the one listed before it.[2]
- "Interacting With Your Network" quest asks for one interface part. Any of Part Interface Item, Part Interface Fluid or Part Interface Energy counts.[2]
- "Importers and Exporters" quest comes after that and has two tasks: one importer and one exporter. You can pick the item, fluid or energy version for each, for example Part Importer Item and Part Exporter Item.[2]
- "World Item Components" quest asks for Part Importer World Item and Part Exporter World Item.[2]
- "World Fluid Components" quest asks for Part Importer World Fluid and Part Exporter World Fluid.[2]
- "World Energy Components" quest asks for Part Importer World Energy and Part Exporter World Energy.[2]
- "World Block components" quest asks for Part Importer World Block and Part Exporter World Block.[2]
- "Player Simulator" quest is the last one in this chapter. It asks for the Part Player Simulator and unlocks once both the world item quest and the world block quest are done.[2]
The four world quests (item, fluid, energy and block) all unlock after the same earlier quest, so you can do them in any order you like.[2]
Logistics chapter
Here you get three quests, one each for energy, fluid and item. They all unlock after the same earlier quest, so you can pick whichever resource you want to move first. Each quest has three tasks: an interface, an exporter and an importer of that type.[3]
- "Item Interfaces" quest (items) asks for Part Interface Item, Part Exporter Item and Part Importer Item.[3]
- "Fluid Interfaces" quest (fluids) asks for Part Interface Fluid, Part Exporter Fluid and Part Importer Fluid.[3]
- "Energy Interfaces" quest (energy) asks for Part Interface Energy, Part Exporter Energy and Part Importer Energy.[3]
Unverified The quests that unlock these chapters' first steps belong to other parts of the quest book, and their contents aren't covered here. The quests in both chapters also have no titles in the pack files, so the names above are just descriptions of their tasks.
Which IntegratedTunnels config options matter?
4 parts
Everything for IntegratedTunnels lives in one file, config/integratedtunnels-common.toml. Below are the values this pack ships, grouped by what you'll actually notice in play.[6]
Energy use of tunnels
Each tunnel part has a base energy cost set in the config. The basic importers and exporters for items, fluids and energy all sit at 1.[6]
- Item, fluid and energy importers and exporters: 1 each, for example general.general.importerItemBaseConsumption and general.general.exporterFluidBaseConsumption.[6]
- World importers and exporters (block, item, fluid and energy) cost 1 when they have no variable and 32 when they do. For example, the world block importer uses general.general.importerWorldBlockBaseConsumptionDisabled (1) and general.general.importerWorldBlockBaseConsumptionEnabled (32), and the world item exporter uses general.general.exporterWorldItemBaseConsumptionDisabled (1) and general.general.exporterWorldItemBaseConsumptionEnabled (32).[6]
- Player simulator: 1 without a variable and 64 with one, set by general.general.playerSimulatorBaseConsumptionDisabled and general.general.playerSimulatorBaseConsumptionEnabled.[6]
- Item, fluid and energy interfaces: 0, so they have no base energy cost. For example, general.general.interfaceItemBaseConsumption.[6]
Transfer speed and sleeping
- core.general.fluidRateLimit is set to 2,147,483,647. This is the maximum network fluid transfer rate.[6]
- core.general.inventoryUnchangedTickCount is 3. That is how many ticks an importer or exporter fails to process before it can start sleeping.[6]
- core.general.inventoryUnchangedTickTimeout is 10. That is how many ticks a sleeping importer or exporter waits before checking its targets again.[6]
Item safety
- core.general.ejectItemsOnBlockDropOverflow is true. When a block is broken and the drops don't all fit in the target, the extras are ejected into the world instead of being voided.[6]
- core.general.ejectItemsOnInconsistentSimulationMovement is true. If an item handler reports inconsistent movement in simulation mode, items are ejected into the world. With this disabled, items can be voided.[6]
- core.general.blockImporterBlacklist is an empty list, so no block ids are blocked from world block importers. It takes regex patterns if you want to add some.[6]
Other toggles
- core.general.worldInteractionEvents is true, so tunnels show particles and play sounds when they interact with the world.[6]
- core.general.versionChecker is false, so the version checker is off.[6]
- core.general.analytics is true, which allows an anonymous mod startup analytics request.[6]
