Logistics
51 quests, with the items each asks for and where they come from in FTB Skies 2.
- Pipez
If you're looking for a pipe to transfer pretty much anything in or out, the Pipez mod has you covered. This mod adds several useful pipes for transferring items, fluids, power, or gases. You can even use the Universal Pipes to condense everything down into one pipe. To set the pipe to extract, you'll need to sneak-use a Pipe Wrench on the end of the pipe that is connected to the block you want to extract from. Once done, you can upgrade the pipe using a Pipe Upgrade to make it faster, allow for filters, and more!

- Mekanism
Mekanism offers some of the best logistics cables and pipes in the pack! These items can be upgraded in the world, and also have an internal buffer. While not as easy to make and upgrade as the Pipez mod, these offer better speeds and utility overall. To configure these pipes and cables, it is best to use the Configurator. This is Mekanism's wrench, which also comes with several useful features. You can learn more about this tool in the Mekanism chapter!

- Flux Networks
Flux Networks is the ultimate wireless power solution! To get started, you'll need to create Flux Dust in a Reaction Chamber, or in bulk by crushing Redstone between an Anvil and Bedrock found in the End. Flux Dust is the main crafting material for all blocks within the mod. Use this to make the Flux Configurator, which shows all power networks you have access to and allows you to remotely manage all devices connected to that network.
Asks for:Flux Configurator,
Flux Dust
- Infusion Pylon (Infinite Potion Effects)
The Infusion Pylon is a pretty overpowered machine that can grant Infinite Potion Effects to its user, no matter how far away they are. To add an effect for the Pylon to give, it needs a valid Potion Filter. These filters can be crafted and then used by a player to extract existing effects from them. It extracts the total duration of the effect that the player has, and needs a total of 1 Hour or 3600 Seconds worth of the effect to completely fill the Filter so it can work in the Infuser. Note: The Filters will only extract effects that have a duration of 1 minute or more.
Asks for:Infusion Pylon,

- Modular Routers
When it comes to logistics, Modular Routers can do it all. This mod comes with tons of useful features, like Auto-Clicking, Block Breaking, and more! All of these features are done within the main block, the Modular Router. To give it a function, it needs a Module to tell it what to do. These Modules can be configured and upgraded using Augments. The Router itself can also be upgraded in many different ways using Upgrades, which determine how it uses the Modules placed inside. By default, Routers come with a single item slot buffer. This can hold up to a stack of a single item. You can upgrade the Router to handle other things like Fluids or Power using specific upgrades and modules.
Asks for:Modular Router
- Vacuum Module
The Vacuum Module works exactly like it sounds. This allows the Router to collect any item that drops into the world within a certain radius, which can be upgraded by placing Range Up Augments inside of the module. The Fast Pickup Augment can also be placed inside of the module to increase the pickup speed.
Needs: Modular RoutersAsks for:Fast Pickup Augment,

- Working With Fluids
The Fluid Module allows the Router to handle fluids, as long as it has some kind of storage item in the buffer like a Bucket or a Tank. The Fluid Module Mk.1 allows the router to interact with any adjacent blocks, which can be set in the module interface. The Fluid Module Mk.2 allows for wireless transfer of fluids, and works just like the distributor modules for items. To upgrade the transfer rate of fluids, you can install Fluid Transfer Upgrades into the Router. Speed Upgrades will determine how often it pulls or pushes fluids, and can be great to install as well.
Needs: Modular RoutersAsks for:Fluid Module Mk1,
Fluid Module Mk2
- General Router Upgrades
You can make several Router Upgrades that can help make your automation setups run better. The Speed Upgrade increases how fast the Router executes the installed modules. The Stack Upgrade allows the Router to interact with stacks of items at a time, rather than a single item. To upgrade Modules, you'll need to use Augments instead of upgrades.
Needs: Modular RoutersAsks for:Speed Upgrade,

- Redstone Detection
The Redstone Module allows the Router to give off a redstone signal whenever an item is inside of the buffer slot. This can be useful to set up automation, or telling other modules when to activate!
Needs: Modular RoutersAsks for:Detector Module
- Pushing & Pulling
To push and pull items in and out of a Router, there are several types of Modules you can install. Sender and Puller Modules Mk.1 allow the Router to interact with other adjacent inventories. To push items wirelessly, you can install Distributor Modules to distribute items to up to 8 different inventories or blocks within the module's radius. To pull items wirelessly, the Puller Module Mk.2s can be used to pull from a single inventory into the Router.

- Working With Power
To allow a Router to handle power, you'll need to give it Energy Upgrades. Each upgrade increases its Total Energy Buffer, as well as the total Energy Transfer Rate per operation. These upgrades stack up to a max of 64. To transfer power out, you can use the Energy Output Module. Holding this module then using it allows you to configure which face you'd like to output energy from in the Router. To distribute power wirelessly, use the Energy Distributor Module. Sneak-using this module on a block adds it to the list of blocks to send power to, up to a certain range from the Router. You can increase the range using Range Up Augments inside of the module itself.

- Modern Industrialization
Modern Industrialization's (MI) pipes and cables are highly configurable, allowing for multiple types and different colors within the same blockspace. If you're planning on progressing through MI, it's a good idea to use them for the machines, as well as making the Wrench from the mod. MI's Wrench is probably the most feature rich wrench you'll ever use. It makes configuring the pipes and cables easy, but most importantly, it helps visualize and build out the multiblock machines from the mod.
Asks for:Wrench

- LaserIO
LaserIO allows you to transfer pretty much everything using LASERS! To get started, you'll need some Laser Nodes and a Laser Wrench to connect them. These are the main blocks of the mod, which allows lasers to directly interact with blocks they are attached to. To set up how they will interact with the block, you'll need to install Cards to specify what you'd like them to do. These cards are highly configurable. For example, Item Cards can be used to pull or push items from separate inventories, and can be filtered for precise automation. When opening up the interface for a Laser Node, you'll have a tab for every face of the node. This determines the side that the Card works on. Think of the Card as essentially the "settings file" for that face. The cards can also be upgraded to increase the speed at which it interacts with other blocks, allowing for extremely fast speeds for automation. They can also be filtered and set to specific channels. You're not always going to have straight lasers from each Laser Node. That's where Laser Connectors come in!

- All About Networks!
Using the Flux Configurator, you can access the Network UI by using it in your hand. You can also access this from any block within the mod. Let's create your first network! On the far right tab of the UI, you can click the + to create a new network. On this screen, you can change the network's name and switch configuration options to public, private, or encrypted, making it a great power transfer mod for server use. When you're finished configuring the options, you can hit Create at the bottom! This will bring you to the Network List. In this list, you can see all networks that are available to you, including the one you just created! For every device that needs to connect to the network, this is the first thing you'll do whenever you place it down. Once you've selected a network, you can head over to the Home page to configure the settings of the device. The Home page allows you to configure several parts of the device, including the Name, Priority, and Transfer Limit. The higher the Priority number, the more priority it gets for the power in your network. The Transfer Limit allows you to control how much the device can pull from the network. You also have toggles on the bottom to override these settings if you wish! Power Surge will ignore all priority settings and force the device to be the highest priority in the network. Bypass Limit just ignores the device's Transfer Limit settings and sets it to max.
Needs: Flux Networks - MI Basic Energy Cables (Transfers Basic Power)
These are the starter energy cables for the mod, handling Low Voltage power up to 256 EU/t.
Needs: Modern IndustrializationAsks for:Copper Cable,

- Interdiction Pylon
If you've ever wanted to filter out which mobs that spawn within a certain area, the Interdiction Pylon is the machine for the job. This Pylon uses Mob Filters to configure which mobs spawn within its radius. To filter out which mobs can spawn, craft a Mob Filter and use it on the mob you want to stop spawning. While it has niche uses, this could be great to use for creating specific natural mob farms like a Wither Skeleton farm in a Nether Fortress.
Asks for:Interdiction Pylon,
Mob Filter
- Harvester Pylon
One of the most useful Pylons for managing farms, the Harvester Pylon allows automatic collection and harvesting of any plants within a configurable radius around it. This Pylon works without creating item entities in the world whenever plants are harvested, and shuts down when the inventory is full or the tool it uses breaks. This makes it great for servers! To use this Pylon, place it in the center of your farm and waterlog it. Open up the interface and place a Hoe inside for it to work with, then adjust the radius you'd like it to cover in the top right. The Hoe you choose to use will take durability each time the pylon collects, so make sure to replace it when needed! Once adjusted, you'll want to place an inventory on top of the Pylon for it to output collected items into, and then you are good to go!
Asks for:Harvester Pylon
- Block Breaking
The Block Breaker Module allows the Router to automatically break blocks adjacent to it and collect any item drops directly into its buffer. When crafting the module, enchantments will carry over from the pickaxe used. This can be useful for things like automatic ore processing using Fortune for the module.
Needs: Modular RoutersAsks for:Breaker Module
- Energy Storage
Flux Networks will always pull energy from a generator's internal energy buffer first, but if you ever need a little extra power storage, you can always use Flux Storage! They can store between 2 - 128 Million RF, and can be set to a lower priority than your Flux Plugs on your generators so they can be used exclusively as backups.
Needs: Flux NetworksAsks for:Basic Flux Storage,
Gargantuan Flux Storage,
Herculean Flux Storage
- Auto-Clicking
The Activator Module is basically the auto-clicker module of Routers. When installed, this module will use the item that is in the router's buffer. This can be configured by right-clicking with the module in the air. You can set which direction the item will be used, and even filter which specific items you want used in the top left. This is great for certain automation items, like using Scythes to harvest crops in an area.
Needs: Modular RoutersAsks for:Activator Module
- Item Collectors
The Basic Item Collector is a configurable collector that automatically collects items within its radius and pushes them into an inventory below. By default, the Basic Item Collector can collect items up to an 11x11x11 area. Opening up the interface allows you to adjust the collector area. Upgrading to an Advanced Item Collector allows for more control, giving you options for filtering items it collects, as well as extending the collection range to a max of 15x15x15.
Asks for:Advanced Collector,
Basic Collector
