What is Just Dire Fuels?
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.23.0 guide
This pack includes Just Dire Fuels 1.1.0. It has been in the pack since version 1.18.0 or earlier, so it isn't a recent addition.[1]
Unverified The sources available for this guide don't describe what the mod's fuels do or how they are made, so this page doesn't go into mod features. Check the in-game item tooltips if you want to explore them yourself.
How do you get started with Just Dire Fuels?
Just Dire Fuels adds fuel pages to JEI: one titled "Fluid Generator Fuels" and one titled "Solid Generator Fuels". They are the quickest way to see what the mod counts as fuel in this pack.[2]
Unverified The sources here do not show which items to craft first for this mod, and they do not show any recipes, quests or config options for it. Check JEI in your own world to see what the pack offers. This site does hold FTB Evolution 2's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How does Just Dire Fuels work?
2 parts
Just Dire Fuels is a fuel mod: it tells generators what they can burn and how much energy each fuel gives. The sources I have cover that fuel data and nothing about the generator blocks themselves, so this section sticks to what the fuels do.[2][3][4]
The mod splits its fuels into fluid and solid groups, and the recipe viewer uses the same split. One page is titled "Fluid Generator Fuels" and the other "Solid Generator Fuels".[2]
Fluid fuels
The mod's fluid fuel data file only lists fluids from Just Dire Things: the refined T2, T3 and T4 fluids. Each one is listed in both its source and its flowing form, with the same value for both. The value is given as FE per mB, so it is the energy you get from each millibucket burned.[3]
- Refined T2 fluid: 450 FE per mB.[3]
- Refined T3 fluid: 1,300 FE per mB.[3]
- Refined T4 fluid: 4,000 FE per mB.[3]
Each tier is worth a lot more energy per millibucket than the one before it. A millibucket of T4 fluid is worth 4,000 FE, against 450 FE for T2.[3]
Solid fuels
The solid fuel data file lists a single entry: Aurichalcum Ember, an item from FTB Armory. Its values are 75 FE per tick and a burn speed multiplier of 32.[4]
The sources give the multiplier as a raw number only. They do not explain how it combines with the 75 FE per tick, so I won't guess at a total output or burn time.[4]
How do you progress through Just Dire Fuels?
2 parts
Just Dire Fuels has no tiers of its own. It adds fuel values for things from other mods, so your progression here follows the tiers of those mods. The fluid fuels come from Just Dire Things, and the one item fuel comes from FTB Armory.[3][4]
Fluid fuel tiers
The mod's fluid fuel data covers three refined fluids from Just Dire Things: tier 2, tier 3 and tier 4. Each tier has a source and a flowing form, and both forms share the same value. Higher tiers give a lot more energy per millibucket.[3]
- Refined tier 2 fluid: 450 FE per mB.[3]
- Refined tier 3 fluid: 1,300 FE per mB.[3]
- Refined tier 4 fluid: 4,000 FE per mB.[3]
Moving from tier 2 to tier 4 takes you from 450 to 4,000 FE per mB, so upgrading your fluid is the biggest power boost this mod offers.[3]
Item fuel
There is also one item fuel in the mod's data: Aurichalcum Ember. It produces 75 FE per tick and has a burn speed multiplier of 32.[4]
Unverified The sources here do not show how you obtain the refined fluids or the ember in this pack. The fluids use the justdirethings namespace, so they belong to Just Dire Things, and the ember uses the ftbarmory namespace, so it belongs to FTB Armory.

We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as justdirefuels, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
