What is Armor Poser?
Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide
Armor Poser is included in this pack at version 6.2.4. The pack ships it as the NeoForge build for Minecraft 1.21.1.[1]
That is all I can confirm about the mod so far. I don't have a description of its features, so I won't guess at what it does or who it suits best.[1]
Unverified No quests or ATM Star path involvement for Armor Poser are shown in the available sources, and no recipes, configs or in-game guidebook entries for it were found. Where it fits in the pack's progression is unverified. This site does hold FTB Evolution 2's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How do you get started with Armor Poser?
3 parts
Armor Poser gives you a posing screen for Armor Stands, where you set angle values and toggle options on the stand itself. Here is how to get going with it in this pack.[2]
Open the posing screen
- Shift right click an Armor Stand to open the Armor Stand configuration GUI. This is on in the pack through General.enableConfigGui, which is set to true.[2][3]
- In the posing screen, scroll to increase or decrease an angle value. General.allowScrolling is true in the pack, so scrolling works out of the box.[2][3]
- Use the toggles in the screen to change name visibility, small size, arms, base plate, gravity and invisibility.[2]
- If you want to adjust the Y position, disable gravity first.[2]
Aligning, copying and saving poses
The screen can align a held block so it appears on the surface, and align a held item or tool so it appears flat on the surface. Holding shift aligns an item so it appears upright instead. You can also swap the main and off hand, or swap the main hand and head.[2]
Once you like a pose, you can copy it to the clipboard, paste it onto another stand, or save it to your user poses. You can also add a pose to a custom pose group. When saving, there are options to include the actions (small, show arms, etc) and the position offset.[2]
Renaming and restrictions
Renaming an Armor Stand from the screen costs 1 level, and it is unavailable if you do not have it. Renaming with name tags is allowed in the pack through General.enableNameTags. General.nameBasedFeatures is false in the pack, so a stand does not get settings from its name.[2][3]
Unverified The sources here show no crafting recipe and no quest for Armor Poser, so there is no first item to craft for it in this section. If the pack adds one, check the pack's quest book and recipe viewer. This site does hold FTB Evolution 2's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.
How does Armor Poser work?
4 parts
Armor Poser is not a machine mod. There is no power, no fluids, no multiblocks and no item automation here. It adds a posing screen for vanilla Armor Stands, and everything below is about how that screen and its settings behave in this pack.[2][3]
Opening the posing screen
You open the Armor Stand configuration GUI with shift and right click on the stand. That is controlled by General.enableConfigGui, which is set to true in the pack.[2][3]
Inside the posing screen you can scroll to raise or lower an angle value. This is General.allowScrolling, also true in the pack.[2][3]
What the screen can do
- Toggle name visibility, and rename the stand from the screen. Renaming costs 1 level, and the button is disabled with a message if you do not have a level.[2]
- Copy the current pose to the clipboard and paste a pose back from it.[2]
- Save the current pose to your user poses. You can also add a pose to a custom pose group or remove it from one, and the tooltip shows which group is currently selected.[2]
- When saving, you can choose to include the actions (small, show arms and so on) and to include the position offset.[2]
- Align a held block so it appears on the surface, align a held item so it appears flat, or align a held tool so it appears flat. Holding shift with the item option makes the item appear upright instead.[2]
- Swap the main and off hand, or swap the main hand and head.[2]
- Set a range around the Armor Stand.[2]
- Y position can only be adjusted when gravity is disabled.[2]
Name tags
General.enableNameTags lets Armor Stands be renamed using name tags, and it is true in the pack.[2][3]
General.nameBasedFeatures would let a spawned Armor Stand have its settings set based on its name. The pack has this set to false, so names do not change a stand's settings here.[2][3]
Operator restrictions
The mod can lock individual posing features to server operators. When a feature is locked, its button in the screen is disabled and the tooltip says it is restricted to server operators. In this pack every one of these options is false, so nobody is locked out of any feature.[2][3]
- Restrict.restrictAlignToOP: the align options.[3]
- Restrict.restrictBasePlateToOP: toggling the base plate.[3]
- Restrict.restrictGravityToOP: toggling gravity.[3]
- Restrict.restrictInvisibleToOP: toggling invisibility.[3]
- Restrict.restrictNameVisibleToOP: toggling name visibility.[3]
- Restrict.restrictPositionToOp: positioning the Armor Stand.[3]
- Restrict.restrictResizeToOP: resizing the Armor Stand.[3]
- Restrict.restrictRotationToOP: rotating the Armor Stand.[3]
- Restrict.restrictShowArmsToOP: toggling arms.[3]
- Restrict.restrictSmallToOP: toggling small size.[3]
If you run a server and turn some of these on, Restrict.restrictWhitelist lets chosen players bypass them. An entry can be a plain username to bypass every restriction, or the format "username, feature" (for example "shynieke, resize") to bypass just one. The whitelist is empty in the pack.[2][3]
Which Armor Poser config options matter?
2 parts
All of Armor Poser's settings live in one file, config/armorposer-common.toml, split into a General group and a Restrict group. Here is exactly how this pack sets them.[3]
General options
- General.enableConfigGui is true, so shift right clicking an armor stand opens the configuration GUI.[3]
- General.allowScrolling is true, so you can scroll to raise or lower an angle value in the posing screen.[3]
- General.enableNameTags is true, so you can rename an armor stand with a name tag.[3]
- General.nameBasedFeatures is false, so a spawned armor stand does not get its settings from its name.[3]
Operator restrictions
Every restriction option is set to false in this pack. That means nobody needs to be a server operator to use any of the posing features. This covers align, base plate, gravity, invisibility, name visibility, position, resize, rotation, showing arms and small size.[3]
- Restrict.restrictAlignToOP, Restrict.restrictPositionToOp, Restrict.restrictRotationToOP and Restrict.restrictResizeToOP control who can align, position, rotate and resize a stand.[3]
- Restrict.restrictBasePlateToOP, Restrict.restrictGravityToOP, Restrict.restrictInvisibleToOP, Restrict.restrictNameVisibleToOP, Restrict.restrictShowArmsToOP and Restrict.restrictSmallToOP control who can toggle the base plate, gravity, invisibility, name visibility, arms and small size.[3]

Items and blocks
We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as armorposer, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
