What is Create: Teleporters?

3 parts

Create: Teleporters adds teleportation that is built to feel like part of Create. It is the Remastered version, a complete rebuild of the original Create Teleporters mod. It was redesigned to match Create's look and to be simpler to use, and it fixes old bugs and refines the mechanics. It requires Create. The pack ships version 0.6.1.[1][2]

If you already build with Create and want a way to move yourself, entities or items around your base or between locations, this mod is for you.[1]

What you get

  • Entity Teleporters, which come in different sizes.[1]
  • An Item Teleporter for moving items.[1]
  • A Custom Portal, which is now a multiblock made of a Custom Portal Base and a frame of Quantum Casings.[1]
  • TP Links (not Advanced TP Links), which now have a set range. That range is configurable.[1]

What changed from the old version

Teleporter Receivers and the Gravity Stabilizer are gone, and pets no longer teleport with you. The mod no longer uses GeckoLib. It now has Create-style GUIs, simplified models and connected textures for the Quantum Casing. Cave generation was fixed, and pocket dimensions won't be overridden.[1]

Watch out: If you carry an old world over to the Remastered version, your old Custom Portal may be replaced with a placeholder block. Mine it to get the new Custom Portal Base.[1]

Where it fits in the pack

Unverified The sources I have don't show where this mod sits in the pack's progression. They also don't confirm any quests, an ATM Star path link or an in-game guidebook for it. Treat it as an optional Create add-on until you've checked in your own world.

How do you get started with Create: Teleporters?

6 parts

Create: Teleporters is an add-on that needs Create, so the whole progression runs through Create's machines. In this pack the order below gets you from raw materials to your first teleporter with the least backtracking.[1][3]

Watch out: The pack changed several recipes in this mod. The recipe blocks on this page show the in-pack versions, so follow those rather than recipes from other guides.[3]

Redstone Pearl

Start with the Redstone Pearl. It is a Create mixing recipe, and it shows up in almost every other recipe in this guide, including both teleporters, the Tp Link and the receivers.[3]

Telejuice

Next you need Telejuice. You can get it from a mixing recipe, or by running chorus fruit through Create's emptying process.[3]

Advanced Component and Quantum Mechanism

The Advanced Component is made by sequenced assembly, and the pack changed that recipe. You'll see the Incomplete Advanced Component appear as the in-progress item.[3]

The Quantum Mechanism is another sequenced assembly, also changed by the pack. It uses the Advanced Component and Telejuice, which is why you made those first. Its in-progress item is the Incomplete Quantum Mechanism.[3]

Quantum Casing

The Quantum Casing is an item application recipe that uses a Telejuice Bucket, and you get the empty bucket back. The pack changed this recipe too. The pack also changed the recipe that empties a Telejuice Bucket back into fluid.[3]

With a Quantum Mechanism and a Redstone Pearl ready, you can make the Entity Teleporter. It uses Create's mechanical crafting.[3]

The pack also has recipes for the Entity Teleporter Receiver and the Tp Link, shown below. The Tp Link is also an ingredient in the Advanced Tp Link later on.[3]

How does Create: Teleporters work?

7 parts

Create: Teleporters is built on top of Create, and most of its crafting runs through Create's own processes: mixing, emptying, item application, sequenced assembly and mechanical crafting. This section follows those steps through the pack.[1][3]

Telejuice and Quantum Casing

Telejuice is the mod's key fluid. You can get it through Create mixing, or through an emptying recipe that produces the fluid directly from its source item. A filled Telejuice Bucket can also be drained back into fluid and an empty bucket, and the pack changed that drain recipe.[3]

Quantum Casing is made by item application, and the pack changed this recipe. The empty bucket comes back to you afterwards. The casing has connected textures, and it is also the frame material for the Custom Portal.[1][3]

The component chain

Most of the mod is gated behind a pair of Create sequenced assemblies, and the pack changed both. Advanced Component comes first, and it uses Incomplete Advanced Component as its in-progress item. Quantum Mechanism comes next, using Incomplete Quantum Mechanism in the same way, and it needs an Advanced Component as one of its inputs.[3]

Redstone Pearl is another shared ingredient, and it is made by Create mixing.[3]

The project page says Tp Links (not Advanced Tp Links) now have a set range, and that this range is configurable. The pack changed the Tp Link recipe, and the Advanced Tp Link is crafted from a Tp Link.[1][3]

Unverified The Tp Link range is set in the mod's config, and the sources here do not show that config or the value, so the pack's actual range is unverified.

Entity Teleporters

The project page says the Remastered version has differently sized Entity Teleporters, and that pets no longer teleport with you. In this pack, Entity Teleporter is made by Create mechanical crafting. The pack also has a recipe for Entity Teleporter Receiver, and it changed that recipe.[1][3]

Watch out: The project page lists "No more Teleporter Receivers" and "Removed Gravity Stabilizer" among the Remastered changes. This pack still has recipes for the Entity Teleporter Receiver and the Gravity Stabilizer, so trust what you can craft in-game over the page's changelog.[1][3]

Item Teleporters

Item transport uses a pair of blocks, the Item Teleporter and the Item Teleporter Receiver. Both recipes use Create's Brass Casing as their base, and the receiver recipe also uses a Chute.[3]

Custom Portal

The Custom Portal is a multiblock in the Remastered version. It is made of a Custom Portal Base and a frame of Quantum Casings. The Custom Portal item itself is crafted by Create mechanical crafting.[1][3]

Tip: If you move an old world to the Remastered version, your old Custom Portal is replaced with a placeholder block. Mine the placeholder to get the new Custom Portal Base.[1]

Pocket dimensions

The Pocket Dimension Remote is crafted by mechanical crafting, and its recipe includes an Advanced Tp Link and a Gravity Stabilizer. The project page says pocket dimensions won't be overridden.[1][3]

How do you progress through Create: Teleporters?

6 parts

Unverified The sources here show no quest chapter for this mod, so the order below comes from how the in-pack recipes depend on each other rather than from the quest book.

Everything in Create: Teleporters sits on top of Create's brass tier. The progression is a chain of crafted parts: basic materials, then Advanced Components, then Quantum parts, then the teleporters themselves, and finally the big-ticket items.[3]

Basic materials

Your first material is the Redstone Pearl, which shows up in nearly every later recipe. It is made in a Create mixer.[3]

The next one is Telejuice (Telejuice). You can mix it, or get it from chorus fruit with a Create emptying recipe.[3]

Advanced Component

The Advanced Component is the first real gate. It is a Create sequenced assembly, with Incomplete Advanced Component as the in-progress item, and the pack changed this recipe. Nearly everything after this point depends on it.[3]

With Advanced Components in hand you can make the Tp Link and the Entity Teleporter Receiver. The pack changed both recipes, so don't assume they match the mod's defaults.[3]

The Quantum Mechanism is another sequenced assembly, using Incomplete Quantum Mechanism as the in-progress item. The pack changed this one as well, and it needs an Advanced Component.[3]

Recipe id: createteleporters:quantum_mechanism_recipe

The teleporters

Once you have Quantum Mechanisms, you can make the Entity Teleporter with Create's mechanical crafting, and the Item Teleporter with a normal crafting recipe.[3]

The Item Teleporter Receiver does not need a Quantum Mechanism in its recipe, which means you can build the receiving end before you reach that step.[3]

End-game items

The last stage builds on the Entity Teleporter and the Quantum parts. The Advanced Tp Link and the Gravity Stabilizer are the extra components you need first, and both use a Quantum Casing and a Quantum Mechanism.[3]

Crafting Shaped

Those feed into the Pocket Dimension Remote. The Custom Portal is a separate end-game craft that also needs an Entity Teleporter. Both use Create's mechanical crafting.[3]

Tip: The Advanced Component and the Quantum Mechanism are the bottlenecks, and the pack changed both recipes. Get a steady supply of those early and the rest of the mod gets much easier.[3]

How does Create: Teleporters work with other mods?

3 parts

This mod is built on top of Create. The project page says it requires Create and was redesigned to match Create's look. In this pack, the recipes that connect it to other mods all use Create machines or Create parts.[1][3]

Create machines in the recipes

Several teleporter parts are made with Create's own crafting methods instead of the plain crafting table. The pack changed some of these recipes and left others as the mod ships them, so the list below says which is which.[3]

The project page describes the Custom Portal as made of a Custom Portal Base and a frame of Quantum Casings, so the casing recipe above matters for portals too.[1]

Brass Casing and Create parts

Create's Brass Casing shows up across the teleporter line. The Item Teleporter and Item Teleporter Receiver are both normal crafting table recipes from the mod, and the receiver also uses Create's Chute.[3]

What changed in Create: Teleporters between versions?

1 part

Gravitas 4.0 ships Create: Teleporters 0.6.1, and the mod has been in the pack since Gravitas 2.4 or earlier. That version is the one the changelogs below describe.[2]

Version 0.6.1

  • Custom portals now work with modded dimensions. The author asks players to report any mod that still turns out to be incompatible.[4]
  • The Entity Teleporter has an improved texture.[5]
  • The Gravity Stabilizer now works with redstone.[5]
  • Bug fix: draining a Telefluid bucket now gives the bucket back.[5]

Unverified No pack changelog entries for this mod were available, so any changes to it between Gravitas releases are unverified.
