What is Refined Flow Analytics?
Refined Flow Analytics is part of this pack's mod list. The pack ships version 26.1.2-2.0.0, which is the NeoForge build in the file refinedflowanalytics-neoforge-26.1.2-2.0.0.jar.[1]
The mod list shows it was first included in this version of the pack or an earlier one, so it is not a recent addition.[1]
Unverified What Refined Flow Analytics does in play is not shown by the sources here, and no in-jar guidebook was found for it. This guide therefore does not describe its features, recipes or settings.
How do you get started with Refined Flow Analytics?
4 parts
Refined Flow Analytics adds three things to craft: the Flow Grid, the Flow Monitor and the Flow Detector. They all answer one question: how fast is a resource moving in or out of your storage? Here is the order I'd make them in.[2][3]
Step one: make the Flow Grid
Start with the Flow Grid, because it gives you the full picture. It displays resource inflow, outflow and netflow across your network, and you right click any resource to view its flow statistics.[3]

This is the in-pack recipe for the Flow Grid.
Inside the grid you can switch the resource view between all stored resources and only changed resources. You can also pick a granularity (tick, second, minute, hour or day) and a line style for the graph, either blocky or exact.[3]
Step two: add a Flow Monitor
Once you know which resource you care about, the Flow Monitor keeps its flow on display so you don't have to open the grid. Right click it to configure it. Its text can show inflow, outflow or net flow.[3]

The Flow Monitor is a shapeless crafting recipe in this pack.
Step three: automate with a Flow Detector
The Flow Detector turns flow into a redstone signal. Right click it, select the resource to watch, and choose whether it reads inflow, outflow or net flow. Net flow is inflow minus outflow, so it can be negative.[3]
You also choose a mode: emit when the flow is above the amount, equal to the amount, or below the amount. The amount covers the last second, updates every tick, and uses the same units as a normal Detector.[3]

The Flow Detector is also a shapeless crafting recipe.
Colors
Grids and detectors come in dye colors, such as the Black Flow Detector and the Red Flow Grid. They are made with the Refined Storage recoloring recipe type rather than normal crafting, so Refined Storage is involved here too. The plain Flow Grid and Flow Detector are what the light blue recoloring recipes produce.[2]

How does Refined Flow Analytics work?
5 parts
Refined Flow Analytics adds three blocks that watch how resources move through your storage network: the Flow Grid, the Flow Detector and the Flow Monitor. None of them is a multiblock or a processing machine. They are tools for reading and reacting to inflow, outflow and net flow, so this section covers what each one shows and how to configure it.[3]
Flow Grid
The Flow Grid displays resource inflow, outflow and netflow across your network. Right click any resource in it to open that resource's flow statistics. It is the one to use when you want to see where your items are going.[3]
Crafting Shaped

| Quartz Enriched Iron | Storage Monitor | any glass blocks |

The Flow Grid uses a shaped crafting recipe.
Inside the Flow Grid you can search resources and pick a resource view: either all stored resources or only the changed resources. You can also sort by name or quantity, in ascending or descending order.[3]
The statistics view lets you choose a granularity of tick, second, minute, hour or day. It shows inflow, outflow and net flow for the timeframe, plus the minimum, maximum and average, and the total of that resource in storage. You can draw the graph with a Blocky or an Exact line style.[3]
There is also an "Estimates (net)" panel. It tells you how much recorded activity it is based on, and shows "No recorded history yet" until the mod has recorded some.[3]
Flow Detector
The Flow Detector emits a redstone signal based on the flow of the resource you select. Right click it to configure it. Pick the resource to watch, an amount, a direction and a mode.[3]
Crafting Shapeless
- Detector
- Advanced Processor
Recipe id: refinedflowanalytics:flow_detector
The Flow Detector uses a shapeless crafting recipe.
- Inflow: the amount entering storage.[3]
- Outflow: the amount leaving storage, counted as a positive number.[3]
- Net: inflow minus outflow, which can be negative.[3]
The mode decides when the signal turns on: when the flow is above the amount, equal to the amount, or below the amount.[3]
The amount you set covers the last second and updates every tick. It uses the same units as a normal Detector, and the screen shows it per second.[3]
Flow Monitor
The Flow Monitor displays the flow of the resource you select. Right click it to configure it. You can choose whether its text shows Inflow, Net flow or Outflow, and you can show or hide the item display.[3]
Crafting Shapeless
- Storage Monitor
- Advanced Processor

The Flow Monitor also uses a shapeless crafting recipe.
Colours and recoloring
Flow Detectors and Flow Grids come in many colours. The colour variants are made with Refined Storage's recoloring recipe type, which is why they sit alongside Refined Storage. There are 32 of these recipes in the pack, and each one makes a different result. The light blue recoloring recipes give you the plain Flow Detector and Flow Grid.[2]

Example: the recoloring recipe for the Red Flow Detector.
When you break a Flow Detector, Flow Grid or Flow Monitor, it drops itself and keeps any custom name it had.[4][5][6]
Energy use and settings
Each Flow Detector, Flow Grid and Flow Monitor consumes energy every tick. The mod has a separate server setting for each of the three, and setting it to 0 turns that block's energy consumption off.[3]
Unverified The actual energy per tick each block uses in this pack is not shown in the sources here. No config file for this mod is included, so check the mod's server config in your own instance.
On the client side, the Flow Grid has a granularity option for the time interval used for flow snapshots and graph points, and a line style option. It also has a minimum refresh interval in ticks. This is the minimum time between periodic Flow Grid requests, and the actual refresh interval is the greater of this value and the selected granularity. It does not change the recorded samples. Five ticks is about 4 updates per second.[3]
How do you progress through Refined Flow Analytics?
3 parts
The sources I have for Refined Flow Analytics show no tier ladder. The mod adds the Flow Grid, the Flow Detector and the Flow Monitor, plus colored versions of the grid and the detector. So progression here just means which pieces you craft and in what order.[2]
The base crafts
The Flow Grid is a shaped crafting recipe. The Flow Detector and the Flow Monitor are both shapeless recipes. All of them are plain mod recipes, and the recipe blocks below show the exact in-pack ingredients.[2]

Colored variants
The grid and the detector both have colored versions, such as the Black Flow Detector and the Black Flow Grid. They come from recoloring recipes of the same type that Refined Storage uses, with a separate recipe for each color on both blocks.[2]
The light blue recoloring recipes output the plain Flow Detector and the plain Flow Grid. If you want to put a colored one back to the default look, that is the recipe to use.[2]
The recipe dump lists recoloring recipes only for the grid and the detector. It lists none for the Flow Monitor.[2]
What you get back when you break them
The Flow Grid loot table drops the Flow Grid itself and copies over a custom name from the placed block. The Flow Detector and Flow Monitor loot tables work the same way.[4][5][6]
