Macaw's Doors in All the Mods 11

Macaw's Doors is a building mod about doors. Its main idea is to give you the vanilla-style door in every wood color, so your builds are not stuck with just the default door looks.^[1]

It also adds brand new door designs. The project page names western, garage, shoji, metal, jail and modern doors, and says there are more beyond those.^[1]

In this pack

The pack ships Macaw's Doors 1.1.5. It has been in the pack since 0.0.1 or earlier, so it is a long-standing part of the mod list.^[2]

It is a decorative mod, so think of it as a way to polish your bases and builds rather than something you need to progress.^[1]

Macaw's Doors adds vanilla-style doors in every wood color, plus new designs like western, garage and shoji doors. No quests in this pack involve it, so you can start crafting whenever you like.^[1]

Start with a wood door

Pick a wooden door in a style you like. The same designs repeat across the wood types, and the recipe blocks below show the exact in-pack versions. Good ones to try first are Acacia Classic Door, Acacia Modern Door and Bamboo Shoji Door.^[3]

If you want something with more character, the same wood types also come in barn, cottage, stable, swamp and waffle styles. There are glassed variants too, such as Acacia Barn Glassed Door and Birch Glass Door.^[3]

Metal and garage doors

The mod also adds metal doors and garage doors. They behave differently from wood doors, so read these two notes before you build.^[1]

Unverified The sources here show no quests and no in-jar guidebook for this mod, so a recommended crafting order is unverified. The recipe viewer shows the exact in-pack recipe for each door. This site does hold All the Mods 11's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

Macaw's Doors adds vanilla-style doors in every wood color, plus new designs such as western, garage and shoji doors. The sources show no machines, multiblocks, power networks or fluid handling for this mod, so the only mechanics worth knowing are the couple of doors that behave differently from a normal wooden door.^[1]

Metal doors need redstone

The Metal Reinforced Door has a tooltip saying it requires Redstone Power to open. So don't expect it to work like a wooden door you just click. Give it a redstone signal.^[4]

Garage doors

The garage door tooltip says to place only one on the ceiling, and that when opened it will roll down. Give it a clear spot overhead and don't stack several of them.^[4]

Wood variants and crafting

The mod gives you each door style in many wood colors. Acacia and bamboo each have lots of styles, for example Acacia Shoji Door (the Shoji Door) and Bamboo Barn Door. Each one has its own shaped crafting recipe in this pack, and the recipe block below shows the exact in-pack recipe for one of them.^[1][3]

This section is short on purpose. The sources for this pack only cover the door recipes, so there is no tier ladder to walk you through, and I won't invent one.^[3]

What the recipe dump does show is that every door is a shaped crafting recipe labelled as a mod recipe. The doors come in a set of styles for each wood type. Acacia, for example, has the Acacia Barn Door, the Acacia Shoji Door (Shoji) and the Acacia Stable Horse Door (Stable Horse), among many others. Bamboo, birch, cherry, crimson and dark oak have their own sets too.^[3]
