What is GeOre?

The pack ships GeOre version 8.0.6, using the file GeOre-26.1.2-8.0.6.jar. It has been part of the pack since version 0.0.5 or earlier, so it isn't a recent addition.[1]

Unverified I don't have a confirmed description of what GeOre does in this pack, so I can't say who it's best suited for or where it fits in your progression. The sources I have don't include a mod description, an in-game guidebook, or any of the pack's quests, recipes or configs for it. I also can't confirm any role for it on the ATM Star path. Check the mod in-game before relying on any particular behavior.

How do you get started with GeOre?

GeOre adds ore-themed items, and in this pack they are crafted in a regular crafting grid. Iron is a good ore to start with, because it has a spyglass, a tinted glass and a block recipe, so the recipes below use it as the example.[2]

Your first crafts

Start with the spyglass. Here is the in-pack recipe for the Iron GeOre Spyglass. Other ores follow the same naming pattern, such as Copper GeOre Spyglass or Diamond GeOre Spyglass.[2]

Which ores can generate?

The mod has an on/off option for each GeOre type. In the mod's own settings, the defaults are on for coal, copper, diamond, emerald, gold, iron, lapis, quartz and redstone, and off for the modded ones such as allthemodium, tin, silver and zinc. These are the mod's listed defaults, not values confirmed for this pack.[3]

There is also a spyglass color overlay intensity option, with a mod default of 0.5, which means 50%.[3]

Unverified No quests in this pack involve GeOre and no in-jar guidebook was found for it, so the sources here do not show what the spyglass and tinted glass are used for, how GeOre blocks are found or grown in the world, or a recommended crafting order.

How does GeOre work?

3 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.8.0-beta guide

The sources for GeOre don't describe any machines, multiblocks, power or fluid handling, so there is nothing to automate through the mod itself. What they do cover is how Budding GeOre blocks behave around pistons, which GeOre types can generate, and the spyglass overlay. That's what this section walks through.[2][3]

Budding GeOre blocks and pistons

The mod has an option to disable the immovability of Budding GeOre blocks. Turning it on enables a built-in datapack, and its listed default is false.[3]

A second option covers piston pushing for budding GeOre. It is described as overriding the vanilla behavior of breaking the block when it is pushed, and it also defaults to false. The description doesn't say more than that, so test it before you build a piston setup around budding blocks.[3]

Watch out: These defaults come from the mod's own option descriptions. The sources show no GeOre config files in the pack, so they don't confirm that the pack keeps these values.[3]

What generates

Each GeOre type has its own on/off generation option, and there is one for budding ancient debris too. Per the option descriptions, the mod's defaults generate budding ancient debris plus coal, copper, diamond, emerald, gold, iron, lapis, quartz, quartz in the Nether and redstone GeOres.[3]

These types are listed as off by default: allthemodium, aluminum, black quartz, lead, monazite, nickel, osmium, platinum, ruby, sapphire, silver, tin, topaz, tungsten, unobtainium, uraninite, uranium, vibranium and zinc. Off by default doesn't mean off in this pack. The pack has items for allthemodium, aluminum, black quartz, lead, monazite, nickel and osmium GeOre, but the sources don't show whether those types generate in your world.[2][3]

Spyglasses and tinted glass

In the recipe dump, each GeOre type has a block, a spyglass and a tinted glass. The diamond versions are Block Of Diamond GeOre, Diamond GeOre Spyglass and Diamond Tinted Glass. The other types shown follow the same naming pattern.[2]

The spyglasses have a color overlay, and a single option sets its intensity. The option description gives 0.5 (50%) as the default.[3]

Unverified The recipe dump lists these GeOre recipes as shaped crafting but shows no item inputs for them, so the recipe blocks above are the reference. The sources here also don't show the pack's GeOre config values, since no config files for the mod are provided, so which types generate in this pack is not confirmed.

How do you progress through GeOre?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.8.0-beta guide

Here's what the sources actually show for you: they list how each GeOre item is made in this pack, but they give no tier order. So this section follows the recipes, from shards up to the crafted items.[2]

Shards

In this pack, GeOre shards are made in the Crystal Growth Chamber, and the pack adds those recipes itself. The shard recipes I can see cover Allthemodium, Aluminum, Ancient Debris, Black Quartz, Coal, Copper, Diamond, Emerald, Gold, Iron, Lapis, Lead, Monazite, Nickel, Osmium, Platinum, Quartz, Redstone, Ruby, Sapphire and Silver. Iron is a good example: Iron GeOre Shard.[2]

    Blocks, spyglasses and tinted glass

Every GeOre type also has a block, a spyglass and a tinted glass, and each of these comes from a shaped crafting recipe. For iron, those are Block Of Iron GeOre, Iron GeOre Spyglass and Iron Tinted Glass. The same kinds of item exist for the other types, including Tin, Topaz, Tungsten, Unobtainium, Uraninite, Uranium, Vibranium and Zinc.[2]

Tip: Check the recipe viewer for the exact ingredients of any item you want. The pack's recipes are what count, not the mod's defaults.[2]

Unverified The sources here do not show any quest that involves GeOre, nor any tier ordering or unlock gating for it. If the pack's quest book covers it, that detail would be told in the quest chapters, which are not part of what I was given.
