Structory: Towers in All the Mods 10

Structory: Towers adds immersive, biome-themed towers to the world. The project page lists outposts, firetowers, ocean monument pillars, and Nether and End towers, plus more. If you like exploring and finding new structures along the way, this mod is for you.^[1]

It started as the first add-on for Structory. It works either alongside Structory or as a standalone datapack, which lets players and pack makers add or remove parts of Structory to suit their taste.^[1]

• You can add it to an existing world, but the towers only generate in new chunks. Chunks you have already explored will not get them.^[1]

In this pack

The pack includes Structory: Towers 1.0.16. It has been part of the pack since version 2.25 or earlier.^[2]

Unverified The sources give no details on where the towers fit into this pack's progression, and no quests or in-game guidebook for the mod were found. Treat the towers as optional exploration content.

Good news: Structory: Towers is a world-generation mod, so there's no crafting chain to work through before you start. It adds immersive, biome-themed towers to the world, such as outposts, firetowers, ocean monument pillars, and Nether and End towers.^[1]

Your first steps

1. Start in a brand-new world, or at least head into chunks you haven't explored yet. The mod can be added to existing worlds, but its structures only generate in new chunks.^[1]
2. Explore different biomes. The towers are biome-themed, so what you find depends on where you are, and the list includes Nether and End towers as well.^[1]
3. If you use Waystones, you're covered. The mod is compatible with it, so you can mark towers you discover.^[1]

Why there's no item to craft first

The mod's project page describes only structure generation. It doesn't list any items, so there's nothing for a recipe block to show here.^[1]

Unverified No in-pack recipes, quests, or item descriptions for this mod could be confirmed, so this guide can't name loot, rewards, or progression tied to the towers. Check what you find in the towers yourself.

Structory: Towers doesn't add machines, multiblocks or anything that handles power, fluids or items. In the sources for this pack it is purely a world generation mod: it adds immersive, biome-themed towers such as outposts, firetowers, ocean monument pillars, and Nether and End towers. So the mechanics worth knowing are about where and how the towers generate.^[1]

How towers are placed

Every tower belongs to a structure set. Each set uses random spread placement with a triangular spread, plus its own spacing, separation and frequency. The sets are split by how common the towers should be, and by dimension.^{[3][4][5][6][7]}

• Regular towers: the ancient temple, engineer tower, farmer outpost, foraging outpost, great toadstool, lighthouse, nomad outpost, ocean pillar, overgrown mangrove, quarter outpost, small firetower, taiga outpost and wizard tower all share one set. Each has weight 1, with spacing 40, separation 10 and frequency 0.725.^[6]
• Rare towers: the sacred relic temple, quarter outpost, mirage outpost and pillager lookout share a rarer set. Each has weight 1, with spacing 55, separation 16 and frequency 0.625. The quarter outpost is in both this set and the regular one.^[5][6]
• Ultra rare: the warped greatsword is alone in its set, with spacing 80, separation 42 and frequency 0.675.^[7]
• Nether towers: the strange outpost (weight 5), warped outpost (weight 6) and fortress tower (weight 3) share a set with spacing 33, separation 10 and frequency 0.9. The set also has an exclusion zone of 6 chunks around vanilla Nether complexes.^[4]
• End towers: the end tower is the only entry in its set, with spacing 82, separation 10 and frequency 0.4. That makes it the sparsest set of the lot.^[3]

Which biomes each tower uses

Each tower's structure file points at a biome tag, and that is what keeps the towers themed to their surroundings. These are the ones the sources confirm:^{[8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15]}

• Ancient temple: the mountain peaks tag, which covers stony peaks, jagged peaks, frozen peaks, snowy slopes and grove.^[8][16]
• Engineer tower: the mangrove tag, which is only the mangrove swamp.^[10][17]
• Farmer outpost: the oak biomes tag, which includes plains, forest, flower forest, swamp, meadow, sunflower plains and savanna.^[11][18]
• Foraging outpost: the dense forests tag, which covers dark forest and the old growth spruce and pine taigas.^[12][19]
• Great toadstool: the mushroom tag, which includes mushroom fields and dark forest.^[13][20]
• Lighthouse: the beaches tag, which includes the vanilla beach biome.^[14][21]
• Mirage outpost: the deserts tag, which includes the vanilla desert.^[15][22]
• End tower: any biome in the vanilla End biome tag.^[9]

The remaining towers each have their own structure file that sets their biomes.^[23]

Many of the biome tags also list modded biomes, for example from Terralith and Incendium, and those entries are marked as not required. That means the tags still work when those mods aren't installed.^{[16][18][24][25]}

Structure shape and height

The towers are jigsaw structures with a size of 6, generated in the surface structures step, and they stay within 64 of their center. The land towers listed above start at height 0 and are projected onto the world surface heightmap. They use thin terrain adaptation (beard_thin), so the terrain blends in around them.^{[8][10][11][12][13][14][15]}

The end tower works differently. It has no terrain adaptation and picks a start height between 64 and 192, biased toward the bottom of that range.^[9]

The mod is also compatible with Waystones.^[1]

Unverified What each tower contains (loot, mobs and interior layout) is not covered by the sources available for this guide.

Structory Towers doesn't give you a step-by-step tier ladder in this guide. What the sources do show is the loot the towers hand out, so this section sticks to that. Two loot tables from the mod's own data are confirmed: the dark basic table and the fortress basic table.^[26][27]

Dark basic loot

The dark basic table rolls between 2 and 5 times. Most of what it gives is bulk filler. Cobbled Deepslate (weight 100, 4 to 10 per stack) and Coal (weight 100, 1 to 9 per stack) are the most common entries, with Black Candle next (weight 80, 1 to 6 per stack).^[26]

The rarer rolls are more fun. Disc Fragment 5 has the lowest weight in the table at 5 (1 to 2 per stack). An Iron Pickaxe has weight 20 and always comes out damaged. It has only a 20% chance of being enchanted, at levels 1 to 20. Compass and Name Tag are also weight 20.^[26]

Fortress basic loot

The fortress basic table rolls more often, between 3 and 7 times, and it is built around Nether materials. Nether Brick is the most common entry (weight 100, 4 to 16 per stack). Nether Bricks follow at weight 80 (1 to 9 per stack).^[27]

The more useful rolls are Gold Ingot (weight 60, 1 to 3 per stack) and Nether Wart (weight 60, 2 to 8 per stack). Chiseled Nether Bricks are rarer at weight 20. There is also a weight 20 chance that a roll pulls from the separate potions loot table instead of giving a single item.^[27]

Unverified No recipes for this mod's items and no tier-by-tier breakdown of its towers could be confirmed for this pack, so none are described here. Many other loot tables exist for the mod and are not covered in this section.

All the Mods 10 8.2 ships Structory: Towers 1.0.16, and the mod has been in the pack since All the Mods 10 0.32 or earlier. Here is how it has moved along since All the Mods 10 2.43, going from newest to oldest.^[28][29]

Updates by pack release

• All the Mods 10 6.3 moved the mod from 1.0.15 to 1.0.16. This build supports 26.1 and fixed dependency issues.^[30][31]
• All the Mods 10 5.5 moved it from 1.0.14 to 1.0.15. This update supports 1.21.11 and added a Spear and a Zombie Nautilus to the Ocean Pillar.^[32][33]
• All the Mods 10 4.13 moved it from 1.0.13 to 1.0.14, which supports 1.21.9 and 1.21.10.^[34][35]
• All the Mods 10 4.3 moved it from 1.0.12 to 1.0.13, which supports 1.21.7.^[36][37]
• All the Mods 10 4.1 moved it from 1.0.11 to 1.0.12, which supports 1.21.6.^[38][39]
• All the Mods 10 2.43 moved it from 1.0.10 to 1.0.11, which supports 1.21.5.^[29][40]

Earlier fixes in the mod itself

These changes landed in mod versions before 1.0.11. The sources don't say which pack release first carried each one.^[41][42][43]

• 1.0.10 supports 1.21.4. It also improved, fixed and added biome tags for the structures to generate in.^[41]
• 1.0.9 supports 1.21.3 and fixed an issue where the Warped Outpost would not spawn at all.^[42]
• 1.0.8 fixed a critical issue where enchanted items in loot tables could take on any enchantment, including technical enchantments from other datapacks.^[43]
• 1.0.7 was the initial upload for 1.21.x. Changelogs before that point are on the mod's CurseForge page.^[44]
