What is Explorify?

3 parts

Explorify is a collection of new structures to find while exploring your world. It is built to be simple and vanilla-friendly, so the structures are meant to feel interesting but familiar, and to fit the game thematically and structurally instead of being random houses.[1]

This pack ships Explorify 1.6.5. It has been part of the pack since version 2.25 or earlier.[2]

Who it is for

If you like exploring and want more to discover without leaving the vanilla feel behind, this mod is for you. It adds places to stumble upon as you travel, not new machines or progression items.[1]

Good to know

  • Explorify is described by its author as a datapack that adds structures. Besides the optional config, it can be adjusted through a datapack.[1]
  • The author says the mod is still in development, so structures may change between versions and some may even be removed. Updating will not corrupt your world, but backups are still recommended.[1]
  • The author says a config is available if Cristel Lib is installed. Whether this pack includes Cristel Lib, or changes any Explorify settings, is not confirmed by the sources I have.[1]

Where it fits in progression

Unverified The sources do not show any quests, in-pack recipes or ATM Star path steps involving Explorify, so I can't place it in the pack's progression. Treat it as an exploration extra.

How do you get started with Explorify?

1 part

Explorify adds new structures to explore in your Minecraft world. They are meant to look good and to fit the game thematically and structurally, so they feel interesting yet familiar rather than like random houses.[1]

The sources I have describe Explorify as a structure mod, so your first step is exploring, not crafting. They don't show any first items to make, so I'm not going to invent a crafting order for you.[1]

Your first steps

  1. Back up your world before you play. The author says the mod is still in development, that new versions may differ, and that changes can include removing structures. Minecraft can handle that and updating the mod won't corrupt your world, but a backup is still the safe move.[1]
  2. Head out and explore. The structures are built to feel familiar yet new, so keep an eye out for builds that look a little different from vanilla.[1]
Tip: The mod page says that if you want a config for Explorify, you install Cristel Lib. Otherwise the mod is configurable using a datapack.[1]

Unverified The sources here show no quests in this pack that involve Explorify and no recipes that produce its items, so there is no confirmed first-items order to give.

How does Explorify work?

1 part

Explorify doesn't have machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item automation to learn. The project page describes it as a datapack that adds new structures to explore in your world, built to fit the game thematically and structurally.[1]

The goal is for the structures to feel interesting yet familiar, not like random houses dropped into the world. So the core mechanic is simply finding them while you explore.[1]

Configuration and compatibility

  • The Fabric version of the mod requires Fabric API.[1]
  • If you want a config, you install Cristel Lib. Otherwise the mod is configurable through a datapack.[1]
Watch out: The mod is still in development and new versions may differ. The author says changes may include removing structures. Updating shouldn't corrupt your world, but the author still recommends making backups.[1]

Unverified The sources don't say how structures are generated, how often they spawn, what loot they hold, or whether this pack ships a config for the mod. Check the in-game structure list or the mod's gallery before relying on any of that.

What changed in Explorify between versions?

1 part

Explorify has been in All the Mods 10 for a long time. It was already in the pack by version 2.25 or earlier, and the current 8.1 release ships Explorify 1.6.5.[2]

Pack updates

  • All the Mods 10 4.13 updated Explorify from 1.6.2 to 1.6.4.[3]
  • All the Mods 10 7.0 updated Explorify from 1.6.4 to 1.6.5. That is the version you get in 8.1, so the mod hasn't changed in the pack since 7.0.[2][4]

Unverified What actually changed inside Explorify between 1.6.2, 1.6.4 and 1.6.5 is unverified. The pack changelogs only list the version bumps, and there are no stored mod changelogs for the shipped jars.
