What is Dis-Enchanting Table?
2 parts
Dis-Enchanting Table adds one new workbench, the Dis-Enchanting Table. With it, you can recover enchantments from enchanted items or books and move them onto a book. Enchantments that are stuck on your gear become books again, ready to reuse.[1]
Here's the classic use. Your enchanted sword is about to break, and you don't want to lose those enchantments. Put it on the table, move the enchantments onto a book, and keep the sword without them. The same works for a pickaxe with Efficiency and unbreakability, or any armor or tool you're done with.[1]
The mod's own page says disenchanting always costs the same: five levels of experience. That flat price makes it easy to plan around, especially when you're salvaging valuable enchantments.[1]
Unverified The pack files provided don't show whether All the Mods 10 changes the experience cost, so check the table in-game to confirm what you'll pay.
Who it's for
This mod is for you if you retire gear often. Maybe you move up to better armor or swap to a new tool. Either way, you don't have to throw away good enchantments with the old item. Save them on a book for later.[1]
Where it fits in All the Mods 10
All the Mods 10 4.5 ships Dis-Enchanting Table version 5.0.2. The mod has been in the pack since version 2.25 or earlier.[2]
The pack's quest book points you to it in the Tips and Tricks chapter. There, the quest a quest in "?" asks you to get a Dis-Enchanting Table. Pick one up whenever enchanted gear starts piling up.[3]
How do you get started with Dis-Enchanting Table?
2 parts
This mod adds one workbench with one job: it takes the enchantments off an enchanted item or book and puts them onto a book. Getting started is simple, because there's only one block to make.[1]
Craft the Dis-Enchanting Table
Your first and only craft is the Dis-Enchanting Table. This pack changed its recipe, so use the version shown below rather than one you might remember from another pack.[4]
Crafting Shaped
| Empty slot | any lapi gems | Empty slot |

Recipe id: disenchanting_table:disenchanting_table
This recipe is changed by the pack
Crafting the table also completes a quest in "?" in the pack's tips and tricks quest chapter. That quest only asks you to get the table, so you can tick it off as soon as you've made it.[3]
Save enchantments you'd otherwise lose
Here's why the table is worth making early. Say your enchanted sword is about to break. Use the table to move its enchantments onto a book, and you keep them instead of losing them with the sword.[1]
It also works on gear you've outgrown. Put an enchanted pickaxe on the table and its enchantments go onto a book, while you keep the pickaxe without its enchantments. It's a great way to recover valuable enchantments from armor or tools you no longer want to use.[1]
Unverified The five-level cost comes from the mod's own description. No config from this pack was available, so it isn't confirmed that the pack keeps that cost. It also isn't confirmed whether you need to put a blank book in the table yourself.
How does Dis-Enchanting Table work?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
The Dis-Enchanting Table is a workbench with one job: it pulls enchantments off an enchanted item and puts them into a book.[1]
What it does
Say you have an enchanted sword that is about to break. Put it on the table and the enchantments are separated from the sword and moved into a book, so you keep the sword without its enchantments.[1]
The mod's page gives another example: a pickaxe with efficiency can be placed on the table, the enchantments pass to a book, and you keep the plain pickaxe. It is handy for rescuing valuable enchantments from armor or tools you no longer want to use.[1]
Cost
The experience cost is flat. The mod's page says it always costs five levels of experience, so you can plan for it ahead of time.[1]
Crafting the table
The pack changes the table's crafting recipe, so use the recipe below rather than anything you remember from other packs.[5]
Crafting Shaped
| Empty slot | any lapi gems | Empty slot |
| any diamond gem | any diamond gem | |
Recipe id: disenchanting_table:disenchanting_table
This is the pack's changed shaped crafting recipe for the table.
Multiplayer
The mod's page says it works on servers, so you can use it with friends.[1]
Unverified The sources here show no config files for this mod in the pack, so whether the experience cost can be changed is not shown. The sources also do not cover the table's interface layout or any automation support.
How do you progress through Dis-Enchanting Table?
2 parts
Good news if you like simple progressions: there's no tier ladder to climb here. In this pack's recipes, the only thing the mod makes is one block, the Dis-Enchanting Table. Craft that and you've reached the whole progression.[4]
Crafting the table
The Dis-Enchanting Table is a normal shaped crafting recipe, so you can make it at any crafting table. This pack has changed the recipe, so don't rely on a recipe you remember from another pack or from the standalone mod. Check the recipe below, which shows the exact version used here.[4]

Where it shows up in the quests
The table has a quest, a quest in "?", in the pack's tips_and_tricks chapter. It's untitled, and its only task is to have a Dis-Enchanting Table. Craft the table and the quest completes. It's a side tip rather than a gate on a longer questline.[3]
Unverified How the table works once placed isn't covered by the available sources. That includes which enchantments it removes, what it costs, and whether it damages or destroys the item. Test it on something you don't mind losing before using it on your best gear.
How does Dis-Enchanting Table work with other mods?
Within this pack, the only in-pack connection we can confirm for the Dis-Enchanting Table is in the questbook. The "tips_and_tricks" chapter has a quest, a quest in "?", whose task is simply to get a Dis-Enchanting Table. It's untitled, so treat it as a friendly pointer that the table exists rather than a full questline.[3]
The table moves enchantments from enchanted items or books onto a book, leaving your gear with no enchantments. That makes it handy for saving enchantments from a tool or piece of armor you're about to retire.[1]
Unverified No recipes in this pack were found that combine this mod's items with items from other mods. It's also unconfirmed whether the table handles enchantments added by other mods, or tools and armor from other mods, so test it on something you don't mind losing first.
Which All the Mods 10 quests use Dis-Enchanting Table?
The Dis-Enchanting Table shows up in just one place in this pack's quest book: the "tips_and_tricks" chapter.[3]
The quest there is a quest in "?", and it has a single task: get a Dis-Enchanting Table.[3]
Unverified The quest has no title in the quest files. Its rewards, description text, any prerequisite quests and where it sits in the chapter's order could not be confirmed, so check the quest book in-game for those details.
What changed in Dis-Enchanting Table between versions?
Dis-Enchanting Table has been in All the Mods 10 since version 2.2 or earlier, and the pack has bumped it a couple of times since. Here's what the changelogs tell us.[2]
- All the Mods 10 2.43: updated from 3.1.0 to 4.0.2.[6]
- All the Mods 10 3.2: updated from 4.0.2 to 5.0.2.[7]
- All the Mods 10 4.5: ships 5.0.2 (the jar is disenchanting_table-merged-1.21.1-5.0.2.jar), so there's been no version change since 3.2.[2]
The sources only list these version bumps. They don't say what changed inside the mod between 3.1.0, 4.0.2 and 5.0.2, so I can't tell you about new features, fixes or balance changes.[2][6][7]
Unverified No changelogs for the shipped jars are stored, so the specific changes in each Dis-Enchanting Table update (for example any recipe or behavior changes) are unverified.
