What is Jade Addons (Neo/Forge)?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods - Gravitas 4.0 guide

Jade Addons adds mod integration for Jade. Its project page describes it as covering Jade 1.18+, and the pack ships version 2.5.0 (the 1.18.2 Forge build).[1][2]

What it adds

The project page lists support for a number of other mods as what it currently supports. Here are the main ones:[1]

  • Create (listed as currently supported): contraption ray-casting that shows the actual block, contraption inventories, blaze burner fuel info, crafting blueprint results, placard items, IO-filter info, and backtank air level. It also lists no longer ignoring curved track and hiding the super glue entity.[1]
  • Tinkers Construct (listed as currently supported): drain and duct fluids, plus recipe progress on casting tables.[1]
  • Lootr (listed as currently supported): player-based inventory, and refresh and decay times.[1]
  • EnderIO (listed as currently supported): accurate conduit type.[1]
  • Supplementaries and Artifacts (listed as currently supported): camouflaging trapped presents and hiding items in presents or doormats for Supplementaries, and camouflaging the mimic monster for Artifacts.[1]
  • SecretRoomsMod and McJtyLib (listed as currently supported): hiding blocks properly for SecretRoomsMod, and machine ownership, machine infusable, Deep Resonance, crystal info and generator part info for McJtyLib.[1]
  • General (listed as currently supported): requiring a custom item in hand or equipped to use Jade.[1]

Who it's for

If you use Jade alongside mods like Create, Tinkers Construct, Lootr or EnderIO, the details above are what the project page currently lists for them.[1]

Tip: In its current support list, the project page marks the Create goggles tooltip integration in Jade as disabled by default. The sources don't show whether the pack changed that, so check the mod's settings in your own instance if you want it.[1]

Unverified The sources here show no quests involving this mod and no place for it on the ATM Star path, so the pack's quest book does not place it anywhere.

How do you get started with Jade Addons (Neo/Forge)?

2 parts

Jade Addons adds mod integration for Jade, so Jade can show more useful information for certain mods, such as Create, Tinkers' Construct and Lootr.[1]

Unverified The sources here show no recipes, no quests and no config files for this mod in this pack, so there is no crafting order to follow.

What to point your crosshair at

  • Create: Blaze Burner fuel information, the backtank air level, the result item of a crafting blueprint, the item on a placard, and filter information.[1][3]
  • Tinkers' Construct: the fluid in a drain or duct, and the recipe progress of a casting table.[1][3]
  • Lootr: player-based inventory info, plus refresh and decay time.[1][3]
  • Deep Resonance (through McJtyLib): crystal info and generator part info.[1][3]

For Create contraptions, the mod also does accurate ray-casting, so Jade can show the actual block on the contraption instead of the contraption itself.[1][3]

Settings worth knowing

Each feature has its own entry in Jade's plugin settings under the Jade Addons names, such as Blaze Burner, Casting Table and Drain & Duct. You can toggle them individually if a tooltip gets too busy.[3]

There is also an Equipment Requirement Tag option. The mod page describes the feature as requiring a custom item in hand or equipped to use Jade.[1][3]

Tip: If you use Create goggles, look for the Integrate Goggles option, which has Requires Goggles and Detailed-Only settings. The mod page says this goggles tooltip integration is disabled by default.[1][3]

How does Jade Addons (Neo/Forge) work?

4 parts

Jade Addons is different from most mods in this wiki: it has no machines, multiblocks, power system or fluid and item handling of its own. It is an add-on for Jade that teaches the tooltip about other mods, so you see more information when you look at a block or entity. Everything below describes what the tooltip can show you.[1]

Create

Create gets the biggest set of extras. Each of these has its own toggle in Jade's plugin settings.[1][3]

  • Contraptions: Jade ray-casts accurately and shows the actual block you are pointing at on the contraption (the Contraption Exact Block option), and you can see the contraption's inventory.[1][3]
  • Blaze burners: the tooltip shows fuel information.[1][3]
  • Crafting blueprints: the tooltip shows the result item.[1][3]
  • Placards: the tooltip shows the item on the placard.[1][3]
  • Filters: you get IO-filter information.[1][3]
  • Backtanks: the tooltip shows the air level (the Backtank Capacity option).[1][3]
  • Other fixes: curved track is no longer ignored, and the super glue entity is hidden.[1]
Tip: Integrating the goggles tooltip into Jade is disabled by default. The plugin options for it are named Integrate Goggles, with sub-options called Requires Goggles and Detailed-Only. Look for them in Jade's settings if you want that information in the Jade tooltip.[1][3]

Tinkers' Construct

For Tinkers' Construct, Jade can show the fluid in a drain or duct, and the recipe progress of a casting table. That means you can check a casting setup at a glance without opening anything.[1][3]

McJtyLib, Deep Resonance and Lootr

For McJtyLib machines, Jade can show who owns a machine and whether it is infusable. Under Deep Resonance, you get crystal info and generator part info.[1][3]

For Lootr, the tooltip shows player-based inventory plus refresh and decay time.[1][3]

Other supported mods

The project page also lists support for SecretRoomsMod (hiding blocks properly), EnderIO (accurate conduit type), Supplementaries (camouflaged trapped presents, and hiding items in a present or doormat) and Artifacts (camouflaging the mimic monster). There is also a general feature that can require a custom item in hand or equipped before Jade works.[1]

Unverified Which of these options are switched on or off in this pack, and whether the item requirement for using Jade is active, could not be confirmed. The pack has no config files for this mod, so check Jade's in-game settings.

What changed in Jade Addons (Neo/Forge) between versions?

1 part

All the Mods 10: To the Sky 2.0.4 ships Jade Addons 6.1.1 for NeoForge. The mod has been in the pack since version 1.0 or earlier.[4]

The pack's own changelogs have no entries for this mod, so everything below comes from the mod's changelogs. It's listed newest first.[5]

Mod releases

  • 6.1.1 is the version in the pack. It updated build.gradle for 1.21 NeoForge and added a Turkish localization (tr_tr.json).[4][5]
  • 6.1.0 continued the porting work and added Create compatibility. It hides the health of Create's package, hides the Aether chest mimic, and fixes a Supplementaries support issue. The plugin id was renamed and dependencies were bumped.[5][6]
  • 6.0.1 has no changelog provided.[5][6]
  • 6.0.0 is the move to Minecraft 1.21.[5][6]
  • 5.3.1 was made on the 1.20 Forge branch. It made the mod compatible with Create 0.5.1.h and included a Create ru_ru.json.[5][6]

"From pack files" means the list came from the pack's own files; "from the published release" means ForgeBase read the jars of the release itself.

Items and blocks

We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as jadeaddons, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
