What is Easy Villagers?

Easy Villagers is part of the pack's mod list. This pack ships version 1.21.1-1.1.42 of the NeoForge build for Minecraft 1.21.1.[1]

The mod list says this version was first included in the 2.0.4 release or earlier. That means it isn't a new addition, so if you're updating from an older version of the pack, you shouldn't expect it to be new.[1]

Unverified I can't confirm from the available sources what Easy Villagers does in this pack, who it is best suited for, or any recipes, configs or mechanics. This guide has no in-jar guidebook or platform description for the mod, so I'm not going to guess at its features.

Unverified No quests were found that involve this mod, and it does not appear on the ATM Star quest path. If you're following that path, you don't need this mod to progress, as far as the available information shows.

How do you get started with Easy Villagers?

2 parts

Easy Villagers adds a set of machines to this pack: the Trader, Incubator, Breeder, Farmer, Converter, Iron Farm and Auto Trader. Each one is a shaped crafting recipe. Below is the order I'd go in, based on how demanding each recipe looks.[2]

Suggested order

  1. Start with the Trader. Its recipe has one of the shortest ingredient lists in the mod, so it's an easy first machine.[2]
  2. Next, make the Incubator, which is just as short on ingredient types.[2]
  3. Then craft the Breeder. Its recipe adds a bit more variety, but nothing out of the ordinary.[2]
  4. After that, make the Farmer, Converter and Iron Farm in whatever order suits you.[2]
  5. Save the Auto Trader for last. It's the only machine in the mod whose recipe calls for netherite, so expect to need some progress in the pack first.[2]

Tip: Several recipes accept any item from a tag, such as any colorless glass pane or any iron ingot, so whichever version you have on hand will work. Check the recipe blocks above for the exact in-pack layouts.[2]

Unverified What each machine does in practice and how to use it is not shown in the sources here. No quests in this pack involve the mod, and no guidebook or in-game descriptions were found, so the order above is based on the recipes only.

How does Easy Villagers work?

4 parts

Same as in the All the Mons 1.3.0 guide

Easy Villagers puts villagers to work in dedicated machine blocks. The sources for this pack are thin on the inner workings, so this section sticks to what they confirm: which machines exist, what their screens are labelled, and how you craft each one.[3]

The machines

The mod adds these blocks: Breeder, Incubator, Converter, Farmer, Iron Farm, Trader and Auto Trader. There is also an Inventory Viewer block.[3]

Villagers exist as items in this mod, in the forms Villager and Baby Villager.[3]

What the screens are labelled

The mod's language file has these screen labels: Villager Input, Villager Output, Input Items, Output Items, Output and Food Items. Villager Equipment and Villager Inventory are labelled as well, and the Inventory Viewer block has its own screen title.[3]

If you use Jade, the mod has Jade plugin entries for the Breeder, the Converter and the Villager.[3]

Controls

The mod has key bindings named Cycle Trades and Pick Up.[3]

Crafting the machines

Every machine is crafted with a shaped recipe that the pack's recipe dump lists as a mod recipe. Here is each one as the pack has it.[4]

Unverified How each machine works in detail is not shown by the sources here: breeding and growth timing, which items count as food, how the Converter and Iron Farm operate, how the Trader and Auto Trader handle trades, and whether hoppers or other pipes can automate any of them. The pack has no config files for this mod, and no in-jar guidebook was found to check.

How do you progress through Easy Villagers?

3 parts

Easy Villagers has no quest line in this pack, so there is no set order to follow. What the pack does give you is a crafting recipe for each of the mod's blocks, and all of them are ordinary shaped crafting recipes. Those blocks are the Trader, Auto Trader, Breeder, Incubator, Converter, Farmer and Iron Farm.[2]

Unverified The sources here show no quests in this pack that involve Easy Villagers, and the mod is not on the ATM Star quest path. If you want guidance on what to build first, the pack's quest book is where any would live, but the sources here do not show it.

Trading blocks

The Trader and the Auto Trader handle villager trading. Each has its own recipe in the pack.[2]
