What is Charging Gadgets?

1 part

This pack includes Charging Gadgets at version 1.14.1. It has been in the pack since 1.0 or earlier. Its block is the Charging Station.[1][2]

Where the quest book puts it

The quest a quest in "?" is in the "tips_and_tricks" chapter, which has 12 quests. It is a plain item quest: you just need to have the Charging Station. The sources list no earlier quest that you have to finish first.[2]

It sits next to a handful of other utility quests in the same chapter. A checkmark quest, a quest in "?", comes after five of them: a quest in "?", a quest in "?", a quest in "?", a quest in "?" and a quest in "?". So the Charging Station is one of five quests that lead into that checkmark.[2]

Unverified What the Charging Station does in this pack, and how it is crafted, is not covered by the sources I have, so I am not describing it here.

How do you get started with Charging Gadgets?

1 part

Same as in the All the Mods 10 1.26 guide

Charging Gadgets keeps things simple in this pack: the block to make first is the Charging Station. Everything else the mod does starts from it, so it is the one thing to craft before anything else.[3][4]

Recipe id: charginggadgets:charging_station

This is the in-pack recipe. It uses tag ingredients, so any matching item of each type works.

What to look at once it's placed

Open the Charging Station and you'll see three things on its screen: how much energy it holds in FE, how much burn time is left, and a warning when the fuel source is empty. The energy readout is shown as current/maximum FE.[4]

Tip: If the screen says "Fuel source empty", the station has nothing left to burn. Give it fuel and check that the burn time counter starts running again.[4]

The sources I have for this mod only cover the Charging Station recipe and its screen text. Details such as which fuels it accepts, how fast it generates energy, and what it can charge are unverified here, so test them in your own world before you build around them.[3][4]

How does Charging Gadgets work?

Same as in the All the Mods 10 0.50 guide

The only part of Charging Gadgets that the available sources confirm for this pack is how you get its main block, the Charging Station. It is made with a shaped crafting recipe, so ingredient placement matters.[5]

Crafting Shaped

Crafting Shaped

any lapi gemsany redstone dustany lapi gems
any iron ingotany coal storage blockany iron ingot

Recipe id: charginggadgets:charging_station

This is the in-pack recipe for the Charging Station.

The recipe is listed as the mod's own recipe, and nothing in the sources shows the pack changing it.[5]

Unverified How the Charging Station works is not confirmed by any source I was given: its power input and storage, charging speed, which items it can charge, and whether it works with pipes, hoppers or other automation. The pack also has no config files for this mod, and there is no in-jar guidebook or lang-file description to check. Test these in your own world before you build around them.

How do you progress through Charging Gadgets?

2 parts

There is no long tier ladder to climb for this mod in the pack. The one Charging Gadgets item the pack's quests and recipes point to is the Charging Station, so this section is short.[2][6]

Where the quest book puts it

The Charging Station has its own quest, a quest in "?", in the tips_and_tricks chapter, which has 12 quests. The quest asks you to obtain the Charging Station item.[2]

It sits next to several other gadget-style quests in that chapter: a quest in "?", a quest in "?", a quest in "?" and a quest in "?". A checkmark quest, a quest in "?", comes after all five of those, so finishing the Charging Station quest is one of the steps that leads to it.[2]

Crafting it

The Charging Station is made with a shaped crafting recipe, and the dump lists it as the mod's own recipe. The block below shows the exact in-pack layout.[6]

Crafting Shaped

Crafting Shaped
any iron ingotany redstone dustany iron ingot
any lapi gemsany redstone dustany lapi gems
any iron ingotany coal storage blockany iron ingot

Recipe id: charginggadgets:charging_station

The recipe accepts any item from the common tags for redstone dust, lapis gems, iron ingots and coal storage blocks, so you are not tied to one specific variant of each material.[6]

Unverified Whether Charging Gadgets has further tiers or other craftable items in this pack beyond the Charging Station is not confirmed by the available sources.

Which All the Mods 10: To the Sky quests use Charging Gadgets?

2 parts

This mod shows up in one quest chapter of the pack: "tips_and_tricks". It's a 12-quest chapter of handy gear, so the mod's quest sits next to quests for other useful items rather than in a chapter of its own.[2]

The Charging Station quest

The quest a quest in "?" asks you for one thing: the Charging Station. It's a single item task, so there's nothing else to do for it.[2]

What comes after it

The Charging Station quest is one of five quests that lead into a final checkmark quest, a quest in "?". The other four are a quest in "?", a quest in "?", a quest in "?" and a quest in "?". The checkmark quest only comes after all five.[2]

The book doesn't list anything that has to come before the Charging Station quest, so you can pick it up whenever you have the item.[2]
