What is Tempad?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Tempad is a teleportation mod inspired by Marvel's Loki. You set locations and open portals called Timedoors to travel between them. It's built around a set of thematic items, so getting around feels like a gadget toolkit rather than a plain command.[1]
This pack ships Tempad 3.0.4 for Minecraft 1.21.1. It was already in the pack by version 2.47 or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the mod list.[2]
What you get
- Timedoor Projector and Marker: set teleport locations and travel between points using Timedoors.[1]
- Card Wallet: store and manage your location cards.[1]
- Time Twister: return to previous locations.[1]
- Location Broadcaster and Screening Device: let other players teleport directly to you, with filtering so you control who can.[1]
- Knowledge Projector: in-game documentation you can read inside Minecraft.[1]
- Workstation: a block version of the portable Tempad.[1]
- Metronome: a block-form device that powers the teleportation mechanics.[1]
Who it's for
Tempad suits you if you want to move quickly between bases, farms and resource spots without long walks, or if you play multiplayer and want controlled ways for teammates to reach you. If you get stuck on how something works, the Knowledge Projector is the mod's own built-in manual.[1]
The mod lists optional support for Cadmus (disabling Timedoors on claimed territory), Argonauts and FTB Teams (filtering teleport options by guild, party or teammates), Jade, Dark Mode Everywhere and Curios slots. Whether each of those mods is installed here isn't confirmed by the sources I have, so check your own mod list before relying on them.[1]
Unverified Where Tempad fits in this pack's progression is unverified. The sources don't describe its recipes, unlock order or any quests, and nothing shows it on the ATM Star path.
How do you get started with Tempad?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Tempad is a teleportation mod inspired by Marvel's Loki. You build portable and block-form devices that open portals between places. Here is the order I'd go in.[1]
First: make Time Steel
Time Steel is the material to get first, because many of the other recipes need it: the Tempad, the Chronon Battery, the Chronomark, the Time Twister, the Metronome and the Workstation all use it. The pack changed how Time Steel is made, and it can be made at a crafting table or in a Create mixer. Here are both in-pack recipes.[3]

Next: build the power chain
Next comes the Chronon Cell. It is the base component for the Chronon Battery, and the Timedoor Projector and Chronon Generator use a cell too.[3]

Then turn a cell into a battery, which also needs Time Steel. The Tempad, Chronometer, Time Twister and Metronome all use a battery in their recipes.[3]

Then: craft your Tempad
With a battery and Time Steel in hand, you can craft the Tempad itself, the portable device of the mod.[1][3]

If you'd rather have a fixed setup at your base, the Workstation is a block-form variant of the portable Tempad.[1][3]

Timedoors and location cards
The Timedoor Marker and Timedoor Projector let you set teleport locations and travel between points with Timedoors. Neither recipe needs Time Steel, but the projector uses a Chronon Cell, so it fits right after the power chain.[1][3]

To save places, you need Location Card items. The pack has a cheap and an expensive recipe for them, and both give you the same item. Once you collect a few cards, the Card Wallet helps you store and manage them.[1][3]

How does Tempad work?
5 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Tempad is built around teleportation you carry with you or place in the world. The sources describe what each piece does, but not the numbers behind it, so this section covers how the systems fit together and flags what I can't confirm.[1]
Timedoors: projector and marker
The Timedoor Projector and the Timedoor Marker are how you set teleport locations and travel between them through Timedoors. The Marker also has a shapeless clean recipe.[1][3]
When you set up a portal, you choose where it opens relative to you using front/back, left/right and up/down fields. Positive front/back places the portal in front of you and negative puts it behind you. Positive left/right places it to your left and negative to your right. Positive up/down places it higher and negative lower. All of these fields accept decimals, for example 1.3.[4]
Deleting a saved location asks you to confirm first, and the prompt warns that it can't be undone. Think twice before clearing a location you still use.[4]
Saved locations and returning
Location Card items hold locations. The Card Wallet stores and manages your cards. The Time Twister takes you back to previous locations.[1]
The pack has a cheap and an expensive recipe for the Location Card, and both are shapeless. A separate shapeless recipe cleans a card.[3]
Letting other players teleport to you
The Location Broadcaster and the Screening Device work as a pair. They let other players teleport directly to you, with advanced filtering. If Argonauts or FTB Teams is installed, you can filter by guild, party or teammates.[1]
Portable and block forms
The Tempad is the portable device, and the Workstation is its block-form variant. The Metronome is a block-form device for powering teleportation mechanics. Items can also go into dedicated Curios slots and are rendered on the player.[1]
The Knowledge Projector gives you in-game documentation inside Minecraft, so check it for details that this guide can't confirm.[1]
Time Steel in this pack
Time Steel is used in many of the recipes above, and the pack changed how you get it. Both the crafting recipe and the Create mixing recipe are pack changes, not mod defaults.[3]

Unverified How Chronon items such as the Chronon Generator, Chronon Cell and Chronon Battery store and use power is told in the in-game documentation of the Knowledge Projector, and the sources here do not show it. The pack also has no config files for this mod in these sources, so no tunable values are confirmed.
How do you progress through Tempad?
4 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Unverified The pack's quest book is where a quest-driven order would be told, and the sources here do not show any quest for this mod. The tiers below are built only from how the in-pack recipes depend on each other.
Tempad progression comes down to a chain of crafted components. Each stage unlocks the next, so you can plan your materials before you start. Here is how it breaks down in this pack.[3]
Early game: Chronon Cell and the simple tools
Everything starts with the Chronon Cell, the first item in the chain. It feeds into later stages, including the Chronon Generator and the Timedoor Projector.[3]

The Chronon Generator is built on the Chronon Cell.
Several items sit at the start of the chain without needing Time Steel or a Chronon Cell: the Timedoor Marker, the Knowledge Projector and the Location Broadcaster. The Location Card has a cheap recipe, which is the early-game route, and the Card Wallet builds on the Location Card. The recipes are below the list.[3]
- Location Card: there is a cheap recipe, and another recipe that uses Time Steel instead. A separate clean recipe also exists for the card.[3]
- Timedoor Marker: it also has a dedicated clean recipe.[3]
- Knowledge Projector: the base for the Knowledge Repository Upgrade.[3]
- Location Broadcaster: the base for the Player Teleport Upgrade.[3]

Time Steel stage
The pack changed how Time Steel is made, so don't rely on mod defaults. Both its crafting table recipe and its Create mixing recipe are marked as changed by the pack. They are shown below.[3]

Time Steel gates most of the mid-game items. These include the Workstation, the Screening Device and the Chronomark. It is also needed for the Chronon Battery, which is the key step up from the cell.[3]

The battery takes a Chronon Cell and Time Steel, so it sits after both earlier stages.
Chronon Battery stage: the main devices
Once you can make Chronon Batteries, the main devices open up. The Tempad itself needs a battery, as do the Chronometer, the Time Twister and the Metronome. In other words, the battery is the real milestone for this mod.[3]

Upgrades
Most upgrades build on something you already have. The Knowledge Repository Upgrade builds on the Knowledge Projector, and the Player Teleport Upgrade builds on the Location Broadcaster. The New Location Upgrade does not use another Tempad item.[3]

What changed in Tempad between versions?
1 part
All the Mons 1.3.0 ships with Tempad 3.0.4. The mod has been in the pack since All the Mons 0.3.0-beta or earlier, so you have had it for a long time.[5]
Tempad 3.0.4
This is the version in the pack right now. Here is what the mod's own changelog says changed in it:[5][6]
- You can now shift right click batteries on blocks to take energy out of them if the battery is empty.[6]
- The Metronome inventory is now accessible with pipes.[6]
- Text rendering no longer looks crunchy and weird.[6]
- The Timedoor Projector now opens glitchy portals correctly when it is in your hand.[6]
- Several missing config entries were fixed.[6]
- Timedoors are no longer chunkloaded forever.[6]
Unverified No pack changelog entries for Tempad were available, so changes made by the pack itself to this mod across its releases are unconfirmed.
