What is Cobblemon Raid Dens?
2 parts
Cobblemon Raid Dens brings Pokémon-style raid dens to Cobblemon. You face a mighty raid Pokémon in an epic battle, just like in the main series games, and you can do it solo or with friends.[1]
The pack includes version 0.11.7+1.21.1 of the NeoForge build. The mod's project page marks it as Beta and recommends backing up your worlds before adding it, so it's worth doing that before you start raiding.[1][2]
What you get
- Raid crystals generate in the overworld, ranging from Tier 1 to Tier 7.[1]
- The base mod contains all Cobblemon from Tier 1 to Tier 5.[1]
- You can host a raid or join one that has already started. The first person to join becomes the host, and the host can accept or deny later join requests while the raid is active.[1]
- Everyone in the raid is teleported to a separate dimension containing the raid Pokémon. All players can battle at the same time, and the boss's health pool is shared between all battlers.[1]
- Once your Pokémon has fainted you can't rejoin the battle, but you still get the rewards if the raid is cleared.[1]
- When the boss goes down, you can receive the Pokémon in your chosen Poké Ball, plus a Raid Pouch with random item rewards.[1]
Who it's for
This is for Cobblemon trainers who want a bigger challenge than a normal wild battle, and for anyone who likes teaming up in multiplayer. Pack makers can also create custom raid bosses, raid dens and scripted events with a datapack.[1]
The mod requires GeckoLib. It also has optional support for Mega Showdown, CobbleDollars, RCT API, and Jade or WTHIT.[1]
Unverified This guide has no confirmed information on where the mod fits in the pack's progression. It is not on the ATM Star quest path, and no quests in the pack involve it. Which optional compatibility mods are installed in the pack is also unconfirmed.
How do you get started with Cobblemon Raid Dens?
3 parts
This mod adds raid crystals to the overworld, in tiers from 1 to 7, so the first step is to find one and take on a raid boss.[1]
Your first steps
- Find a raid crystal in the overworld. They generate from Tier 1 to Tier 7, and the base mod includes Cobblemon from Tier 1 to Tier 5.[1]
- Join a raid, or host one. The first person to join becomes the host, and the host can accept or deny later join requests while the raid is active. Joining your first raid unlocks the join raid advancement.[1][3]
- Battle the boss. Everyone is teleported to a separate dimension with the raid Pokemon, and all players can battle at the same time. The boss's health pool is shared between all battlers.[1]
- Stay in the fight as long as you can. Once your Pokemon faints you can't rejoin the battle, but you still get the rewards if the raid is cleared.[1]
- Collect your reward. When the boss is defeated you can receive the Pokemon in your chosen Pokeball, plus a Raid Pouch with random item rewards.[1]
Items worth knowing about
The mod adds a few raid items that you'll run into early. Here is what each one does.[3]
- Catching Charm: hold it in your offhand to increase the catch rate of a raid boss.[3]
- Attack Cheer: raises your party's Atk and Sp. Atk by 50%.[3]
- Defense Cheer: raises your party's Def and Sp. Def by 50%.[3]
- Heal Cheer: restores 50% HP for your party.[3]
- Raid Shard: clear raids to gain raid energy. Fully charging one unlocks its own advancement.[3]
Goals to aim for
The mod has advancements that work as a natural progression path. You can defeat a raid of each tier from one to seven, defeat a dynamax raid, and receive a shiny from a raid. There is also one for using one of each Cheer.[3]
Unverified This guide could not confirm how to obtain the Catching Charm, Cheers or Raid Shard in this pack. No crafting recipes or quests for this mod were found, so there is no craft-first checklist yet.
How does Cobblemon Raid Dens work?
6 parts
Heads up: the sources for this mod don't describe any machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item automation. Raid Dens is built around a raid battle system, so this section walks through how a raid works from start to finish, as far as the sources explain it.[1]
Finding and joining a raid
- Raid crystals generate in the overworld, ranging from Tier 1 to Tier 7.[1]
- The base mod contains all Cobblemon from Tier 1 to Tier 5.[1]
- You can host a raid or join one that has already started. The first person to join becomes the host.[1]
- Everyone in the raid is teleported into a separate dimension that contains the raid Pokemon.[1]
- The host can accept or deny later join requests while the raid is active. Players who ask to join are shown a request prompt.[1][3]
Fighting the boss
The boss's health pool is shared between all battlers, and every player can start their own battle at the same time. The boss's health stays synced across all of those battles.[1]
Once your Pokemon has fainted, you can't rejoin the battle. You still get the rewards if the raid is cleared.[1]
Cheers
Cheers are items that can only be used in Raid Battles. There are three, and each one affects your whole party.[3]
- The attack Cheer raises your party's Atk and Sp. Atk by 50%.[3]
- The defense Cheer raises your party's Def and Sp. Def by 50%.[3]
- The heal Cheer restores 50% HP for your party.[3]
There is also an advancement for using one of each Cheer.[3]
Rewards and catching
When the boss is defeated, you can receive the Pokemon in your chosen Pokeball. You also get a Raid Pouch with random item rewards. The game asks whether you want to catch the Pokemon, and if you decline it disappears.[1][3]
Hold the Catching Charm in your offhand to increase the catch rate of a raid boss. The tooltip shows the bonus as a percentage, but the sources don't give the actual value for this pack.[3]
The Raid Shard tooltip says you clear raids to gain raid energy, and there is an advancement for fully charging one.[3]
Advancements to chase
- Join your first raid.[3]
- Defeat a raid of each tier, from tier one up to tier seven.[3]
- Defeat a dynamax raid.[3]
- Receive a shiny from a raid.[3]
Optional compatibility
What changed in Cobblemon Raid Dens between versions?
3 parts
All the Mons 1.3.0 ships Cobblemon Raid Dens 0.11.7+1.21.1, and the mod has been in the pack since 0.3.0-beta or earlier. Here are the notable changes from the mod's own changelogs, newest first.[2]
The latest releases
- 0.11.7 (the version in this pack): added a clear_all_stats script that removes all positive and negative stat changes for the raid boss and players. It also fixed boss-only gender and nature settings wrongly applying to the reward Pokemon.[2][4]
- 0.11.5: fixed the /crd resetclears command not working from command blocks or the console, and fixed boss additions not applying tera types to raid bosses correctly. Error handling for incorrectly formatted raid boss tags also improved.[5]
- 0.11.3: added the raid_cap option (how many raids can run at the same time) and the raid_allocation option (how raid coordinates are picked in the raid dimension). SPIRAL starts at (0,0) and spirals outwards, while RANDOM uses one of the nine closest available slots to (0,0). RANDOM can help if persistent entities keep turning up in raid dens.[6]
- 0.11.3 also fixed dens spawned by raid shards getting stuck on tier 1/stellar tera when the raid tier or type is locked.[6]
- 0.11.0: Raid Features became a server-sided registry, so other mods can add their own mechanics. It also added a shadow raid feature for Cobblemon Shadowed Hearts, a client config option for raid beam opacity, a common config option to allow retrying a failed raid, and a no_ai field for raid bosses.[7]
- 0.11.0 also relaxed /crd spawnboss so the console and command blocks can use it without naming a dimension, and fixed raid bucket 'include' filters and some issues with leaving and joining raids.[7]
Scripting, music and catching
- 0.10.0: scripting was revamped to accept JSON formats, and the legacy string format still works for old events. New script events cover forme changes, mega evolving, dynamaxing, terastallizing, sound effects or battle music changes, adding new events and changing the boss's size. New triggers fire when a player joins a raid battle or deals a certain amount of damage.[8]
- 0.10.0 also added custom music for specific raid bosses, a gmax factor setting for bosses, and voice-command cheers with Cobblemon: Vocalized. The floating HP bar now renders with shaders enabled.[8]
- 0.9.1: added custom raid battle music through the cobblemonraiddens:battle.raid.default sound event, plus one sound event per tier. Addon mods can now register custom raid battle AI and custom reward distributors, and ko_kr localisation was added.[9]
- 0.9.0: raid boss catch rates can now be set per tier and per boss, and are shown on the raid crystal (with Jade or WTHIT installed) and on the catch screen when below 100%. The default loot tables for all tiers were buffed.[10]
- 0.9.0 also added the Catching Charm, which boosts the boss's catch rate when held in the offhand, and a health bar above other players' Pokemon in raids that can be toggled in the client config.[10]
Earlier releases
- 0.8.1: added compatibility with the Aether, Eternal Starlight, Twilight Forest, Legendary Monuments, CobbleSafari, Deeper and Darker, the Undergarden and the Bumblezone. You still need to add the dimension to the config spawn rate to enable spawning there. Reward distribution also no longer gives rewards only to the raid host.[11]
- 0.7.6: added a boss_bar_text component field so you can customise a raid boss's boss bar, and fixed entity scaling for Gmax raid bosses.[12]
- 0.6.5: updated for Cobblemon 1.7.2 and fixed raid bosses despawning when too far away.[13]
- 0.6.4: boss additions can now apply to variants, and compatibility with Radiants was added.[14]
- 0.5.5: fixed an issue that sometimes happened with Mega Showdown installed, and fixed raid battles continuing for a few seconds after the raid was completed.[15]
