CobbleFurnies is a mod in All the Mons 1.3.0, where it is version 1.2. CobbleFurnies is here to bring your creations to life with beautifully crafted, Cobblemon-inspired furniture that blends seamlessly into your Minecraft world! (Summary from the mod's Modrinth page.)

What is CobbleFurnies?

1 part

CobbleFurnies is a decorative mod that adds Cobblemon-inspired furniture to your world. It's all about making your builds feel alive. Think a professor's lab, a busy Pokécenter, or a cozy cabin in the woods.[1]

It's for you if you like building and decorating around your Cobblemon adventure. It's a furniture and decoration mod, so you won't find new Pokémon or battle mechanics here.[1]

In this pack

The pack ships CobbleFurnies 1.2 for NeoForge.[2]

The mod also shows up in the pack's quest book. In the chapter "The Pika Star", the quest a quest in "The Pika Star" comes after "Unbound Pika Star" and has four CobbleFurnies statues among its tasks: Pikachu Statue, Charmander Statue, Squirtle Statue and Bulbasaur Statue.[3]

That quest is the only place the mod appears in the sources. CobbleFurnies is not on the ATM Star quest path, so you don't need it for that route.[3]

Watch out: If you play multiplayer, the server and every player must run the same CobbleFurnies version. A mismatch can make blocks show up as stoves, other CobbleFurnies blocks, or even blocks from other mods or vanilla.[1]

How do you get started with CobbleFurnies?

5 parts

CobbleFurnies adds Cobblemon-inspired furniture to the pack. Here is the order I'd go in, starting with the item that unlocks the rest of the fun.[1]

First: make the Furni Crafter

Start with the Furni Crafter. Many of the furniture recipes in this pack use their own recipe type, cobblefurnies:furni_crafting, rather than a normal shaped crafting recipe. The Furni Crafter itself has a normal shaped recipe, so it is the natural first thing to make.[4]

Next: try a wooden set

Wooden furniture is a good place to branch out. The recipes include chairs, tables, cabinets, night stands and wall supports in acacia, apricorn, bamboo and birch. A fine first piece is the Acacia Chair.[4]

Night stands such as the Acacia Night Stand can change color. Right-click one with any concrete block.[4][5]

Then: Poké Wool and colored furniture

Poké Wool comes in many colors, and each color has a matching carpet. Black is a good example.[4]

The colored sets are worth a look too, like the Black Sofa, Black Armchair and Black Lamp.[4]

Kitchen and bathroom

Stoves and upper cabinets have special interactions. Right-click a stove such as the Black Stove with a Campfire Pot to cook. Right-click an upper cabinet such as the Black Upper Cabinet with a Glass Pane to change its shape.[4][5]

The Dark Fridge and the Dark Toilet each have their own shapeless crafting recipe, built from the light version of the same appliance.[4]

Finally: collect the Pokémon statues

The four statues are the Pikachu Statue, Charmander Statue, Squirtle Statue and Bulbasaur Statue. They also appear as tasks in the quest a quest in "The Pika Star" in The Pika Star chapter, alongside a Cobblemon display case and the ancient balls. That quest's text describes the regional Pika Star ritual.[3][4]

Watch out: On a server, everyone must use the same CobbleFurnies version as the server. If the versions don't match, blocks can show up as stoves or other wrong blocks on your screen.[1]

How does CobbleFurnies work?

4 parts

Good news and honest news. CobbleFurnies is a furniture and decoration mod, and nothing in the sources describes machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item automation for it. So this section is short and covers what the sources do confirm: the custom crafting, the right-click interactions and one multiplayer gotcha.[1]

The Furni Crafter and furniture recipes

Furniture pieces such as chairs, tables, cabinets, night stands and wall supports are not made with the normal crafting recipe type. The pack's recipes for them use a separate recipe type called furni_crafting. The mod's page says its custom crafting was inspired by Refurbished Furniture.[1][4]

The Furni Crafter is the block named after this system. Here is its recipe:[4]

Furniture comes in wood variants, and the pack's recipes include vanilla woods like acacia as well as Cobblemon's apricorn planks. Here is the Acacia Chair as an example:[4]

Right-click interactions

Several blocks react when you right-click them with a specific item. The mod's own tooltips spell these out.[5]

  • Night stands, such as the Acacia Night Stand and the Apricorn Night Stand: right-click with any concrete block to change their color.[4][5]
  • Stoves: right-click with a Campfire Pot to cook.[5]
  • Upper cabinets: right-click with a Glass Pane to change their shape.[5]

The sources do not say how long cooking on a stove takes, what it can cook, or whether a stove needs fuel. Treat those as unknown for now.[5]

Recoloring and crafting variants

Some pieces come in a light and a dark version. The Light Fridge and the Light Toilet have dark counterparts, the Dark Fridge and the Dark Toilet, and each dark piece has its own shapeless recipe.[4]

Poké Wool also has matching carpet versions in every color. Each one is crafted from the wool of the same color, for example the Red Poké Wool Carpet from the Red Poké Wool.[4]

Crafting Shaped

Recipe id: cobblefurnies:red_poke_wool_carpet

The Azure Mosaic also uses the furni_crafting recipe type, with a light blue concrete block as its input.[4]

Multiplayer note

Watch out: If you play on a server, the server and every player must run exactly the same CobbleFurnies version. Block registries have to match, and a mismatch can make blocks show up as stoves, other CobbleFurnies blocks, or even blocks from other mods or vanilla.[1]

The sources include no config files for this mod in the pack, so there are no CobbleFurnies settings to document here.[1]

How do you progress through CobbleFurnies?

5 parts

CobbleFurnies is a decoration mod, and the sources for this pack don't show any tier system or progression gating for it. What they do show is a natural order to work in: start with the Furni Crafter, move through the wood furniture, then the colored sets, then Poké Wool. The one place the pack's quest book touches the mod is the four Pokémon statues.[3][4]

First: The Furni Crafter

The Furni Crafter has a normal shaped crafting recipe, so you can make it right away in a regular crafting grid.[4]

This is a standard shaped crafting recipe in this pack.

The furniture pieces themselves use their own recipe type, furni_crafting, instead of the regular crafting grid. You'll see it on everything from chairs to statues.[4]

Next: Wood furniture

The simplest family is wood furniture. Acacia, Bamboo, Birch and Apricorn all get a cabinet, a night stand, a table, a chair and a wall support, for example the Acacia Chair and the Apricorn Table. Bamboo also has the Bamboo Floor and Bamboo Planks.[4]

Then: Colored furniture

Next come the colored sets, such as Black, Blue and Brown. They include armchairs, sofas, curtains, stools and chairs. Black and Blue also have lamps, plus kitchen-style pieces: cabinetry, drawers, sinks, stoves and upper cabinets. Examples are the Black Sofa, the Blue Lamp and the Black Stove.[4]

Last: Poké Wool and the dark appliances

Poké Wool such as Black Poké Wool is made with the furni_crafting recipe type. Each Poké Wool color then has a matching carpet, made with a normal shaped crafting recipe.[4]

The Pokémon statues and the quest

The Pikachu Statue, Charmander Statue, Squirtle Statue and Bulbasaur Statue appear as tasks in a quest in "The Pika Star" in The Pika Star chapter. That quest comes after the Unbound Pika Star quest.[3]

The other statues use the same furni_crafting recipe type.

Tip: The same quest also lists a Cobblemon display case and several ancient Poké Balls next to the statues. Its text mentions filling Display Cases with any Mega Stones and offering the Unbound Pika Star to start a ritual. The statues are only one part of that quest.[3]

How does CobbleFurnies work with other mods?

2 parts

CobbleFurnies is Cobblemon-inspired furniture, and in this pack its clearest link is to Cobblemon itself. A quest also pulls its statues into a bigger ritual. Here's what the pack's recipes and quests show.[1][3][4]

Cobblemon wood powers the furniture

Every CobbleFurnies wood furniture recipe in the pack starts from a Cobblemon planks block. The Apricorn line uses Apricorn Planks, and the Saccharine line uses Saccharine Planks. Some pieces also take Stick from vanilla Minecraft.[4]

These recipes use their own crafting type, cobblefurnies:furni_crafting, and they are listed as mod recipes. Here is one example from each wood.[4]

Apricorn furniture is made from Cobblemon's apricorn planks.

Furni Crafting (cobblefurnies)

Recipe id: cobblefurnies:furni_crafting/saccharine_cabinet

Saccharine furniture is made from Cobblemon's saccharine planks.

The Apricorn pieces are Apricorn Cabinet, Apricorn Chair, Apricorn Night Stand, Apricorn Table and Apricorn Wall Support. The Saccharine set has Saccharine Cabinet, Saccharine Chair, Saccharine Night Stand, Saccharine Table and Saccharine Wall Support. They all follow the same pattern: a Cobblemon planks type in, a CobbleFurnies piece out.[4]

The Pika Star quest

The other connection is the quest a quest in "The Pika Star" in the chapter "The Pika Star", which comes after the quest "Unbound Pika Star". Its tasks include the CobbleFurnies statues Pikachu Statue, Charmander Statue, Squirtle Statue and Bulbasaur Statue. They sit alongside Display Case, ancient balls from the allthemons namespace, and Ancient Origin Ball from Cobblemon.[3]

The quest text describes a ritual for crafting a regional Pika Star. You check the altar recipe to preview the block pattern, then send out 6 Pokémon from the same region close to the altar. You fill Display Cases with any Mega Stones, offer the 4 ancient Pokéballs, and finally offer the Unbound Pika Star to start the ritual.[3]

Which All the Mons quests use CobbleFurnies?

2 parts

CobbleFurnies shows up in just one quest chapter in the pack: "The Pika Star". The mod's statues are part of the requirements for a single quest there, so this section is short.[3]

The Pika Star chapter

The quest a quest in "The Pika Star" has no title. It unlocks after the quest called "Unbound Pika Star", so finish that one first.[3]

Its task list starts with a checkmark. It then asks for a Display Case and the four CobbleFurnies starter statues: Pikachu Statue, Charmander Statue, Squirtle Statue and Bulbasaur Statue. The rest of the list is the four ancient Pokéballs used in the ritual.[3]

What the quest text tells you

The quest explains how to craft a regional Pika Star. The steps are in the order the quest gives them:[3]

  1. Check the altar recipe to preview the block pattern you need.[3]
  2. Send out 6 Pokémon from the same region close to the altar. The Kanto example is Abra, Rattata, Charmander, Pikachu, Grimer and Staryu.[3]
  3. Fill the Display Cases with any Mega Stones.[3]
  4. Offer the 4 ancient Pokéballs.[3]
  5. Offer the Unbound Pika Star to start the ritual.[3]

The quest text also points you to the next page for an example of the setup.[3]

Unverified The quest list includes one task item with no readable id, and the sources don't say what it is. They also don't say how the statues are crafted or obtained, so check in-game or in the recipe viewer. This site does hold All the Mons's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

What changed in CobbleFurnies between versions?

3 parts

All the Mons 1.3.0 ships CobbleFurnies 1.2 (the NeoForge build). The mod has been in the pack since All the Mons 0.11.0-beta or earlier. Here is what changed across its three releases so far.[2][6][7][8]

Version 1.0

The first release was built for Cobblemon 1.7.1. Stoves became compatible with the Cobblemon Cooking mechanism, and the mod launched with these furniture additions:[8]

Version 1.1 (Pre-2.0)

This update focused on the Furnicrafter and a lot of fixes. The Furnicrafter gained a search box, plus a CTRL and SHIFT system to make bulk crafting easier.[7]

  • Stove: fixed the stove sound not stopping, fixed missing stove blockstates, and resolved a batch of other stove bugs.[7]
  • Stove item management in the block entity was improved to prevent chunk loading issues with old structures.[7]
  • Statues: fixed a texture flip on statue models and fixed statues not rotating cubes correctly.[7]
  • Furniture: fixed a curtain name bug and fixed WallSupport lag issues.[7]
  • Dependencies: the JEI dependency was updated, and Cobblemon was updated to version 1.7.3.[7]

Version 1.2 (the version in this pack)

Version 1.2 is mostly about stability. The stove recipe book had been treating player inventory slots as crafting slots, which could clear or move items from unrelated slots. Now it only scans and clears the actual 3x3 crafting grid, not the whole stove container.[6]

Curtains got a multiplayer fix too. It addresses possible client/server desync and ghost curtain blocks that showed up client-side and vanished after a relog. The second half of a curtain is now placed server-side once the real placement is accepted.[6]

There is also a fix for possible crashes on systems with locales such as Turkish, which could change blockstate and property names. The locale-sensitive names for the curtain vertical part, mount type and pot color block states were fixed.[6]

For the NeoForge build this pack uses, dependencies moved from NeoForge 21.1.113 to 21.1.233 and from Kotlin for Forge 5.3.0 to 5.12.0.[6]

Tip: The 1.2 changelog says the next major update is CobbleFurnies 1.3, called the Neon Update, which is planned to bring several new decorative blocks. That version is not the one in this pack, which includes 1.2.[2][6]
