What is Berry Pouch [Cobblemon]?

3 parts

Berry Pouch is a small Cobblemon add-on that gives you a dedicated bag for berries, so you spend less time sorting your inventory. This pack includes version 0.5.4-beta of the NeoForge build for Minecraft 1.21.1.[1][2]

What it does

  • While you carry a Berry Pouch, any berries you collect go straight into the pouch automatically, so there is no manual sorting.[1]
  • It supports all berries added by Cobblemon. The upper slots are for Natural Berries and the lower slots are for Mutation Berries, which makes it easy to see how far along your collection is.[1]
  • The 16 unrestricted slots on the right hold items with the berrypouch:other_bait tag. They are mainly used for the Poké Rod's automatic bait reloading, and they also let you load Poké Baits with custom effects.[1]
  • The pouch has its own accessory slot and a shortcut key.[1]

Pokéball Launcher

The 0.5.0 update added the Pokéball Launcher, which is included in this pack's version. It works a lot like the pouch and saves inventory space so you can carry more Pokéballs. You use a hotkey to cycle through the Pokéballs in its slots and launch them, and its model and texture change as you switch between them.[1][2]

Who it is for

This mod is for you if you spend a lot of time gathering berries, fishing with the Poké Rod, or carrying lots of Pokéballs and want your inventory to stay tidy. It is a quality-of-life tool rather than a new progression system.[1]

Unverified The sources don't show where this mod fits in the pack's progression. They show no quests that involve it and no placement on the ATM Star path.

How do you get started with Berry Pouch [Cobblemon]?

2 parts

Good news: this mod keeps things simple. It adds a Berry Pouch and a Pokéball Launcher, and both are crafted. Make them in this order and you'll have the whole mod running early.[1][3]

Craft the Berry Pouch first

Start with the Berry Pouch. While you carry one, any berries you collect are automatically deposited into it, so you don't have to sort them by hand. That's a big help once you start gathering lots of Cobblemon berries.[1]

The pouch supports all berries added by Cobblemon. The upper slots are for Natural Berries and the lower slots are for Mutation Berries, so you can see how your collection is progressing at a glance.[1]

On the right there are 16 unrestricted slots that hold items with the berrypouch:other_bait tag. They're mainly used for the Poké Rod's automatic bait reloading, and they also support Poké Baits with custom effects.[1]

Tip: The pouch has its own dedicated accessory slot and a shortcut key, so you don't need to keep it in your main inventory.[1]

Then craft the Pokéball Launcher

Next comes the Pokéball Launcher. It saves inventory space so you can carry more Pokéballs. It works much like the pouch: you use a hotkey to cycle through the Pokéballs in its slots and launch them. Its model and texture change as you switch between Pokéballs.[1]

How does Berry Pouch [Cobblemon] work?

Berry Pouch is a simple mod that adds some small gadgets related to Cobblemon. This section covers how its items work: they are storage items you carry with you, not machines.[1]

How do you progress through Berry Pouch [Cobblemon]?

2 parts

The sources for this pack show the crafting recipes for the Berry Pouch and the Pokéball Launcher, and both are shaped crafting recipes. That is the whole progression for this mod here, so this section walks through each item in turn.[3]

The Berry Pouch

The Berry Pouch uses the mod's own recipe, which the pack has not changed. It accepts any item from the mod's natural berries tag, so you are not tied to a single berry type.[3]

The Pokéball Launcher

The pack changed the recipe for the Pokéball Launcher, so don't rely on the mod's default recipe from other guides. The recipe takes any iron ingot and any iron nugget from the common tags, so you are not tied to one specific source of iron.[3]
