What is More Thermal Evaporation?
More Thermal Evaporation is part of this pack, and the current version of the pack (0.0.51.4-hotfix-2) ships it as version 3.1.0. It has been in the pack since version 0.0.46.0 or earlier, so it is not a recent addition.[1]
That is all I can confirm about it here. I have no source describing what the mod adds, its recipes, or its configs, so I am not guessing at them. I also have no quest book information for it, so I can't tell you where it sits in a chapter or group.[1]
How do you get started with More Thermal Evaporation?
5 parts
More Thermal Evaporation gives you four tiers of evaporation plant parts: Basic, Advanced, Elite and Ultimate. Each tier has a casing block, a valve, a controller and a compact version. You start at Basic and work your way up, so the first steps are all about the Basic parts.[2][3]
Step 1: the Basic casing
Start with the Basic Thermal Evaporation Block. It is made from Mekanism's Thermal Evaporation Block, and one craft gives you 4 of them. It is the casing of a Basic plant. The higher tier casings, valves and controllers are all built from the tier below, so you will keep coming back to this block.[2][3]

Step 2: the valve
Next, make a Basic Thermal Evaporation Valve. It goes on the plant multiblock and lets fluids go in and out through external piping, so your plant is not much use without one.[2][3]

Step 3: the controller
Finally, craft the Basic Thermal Evaporation Controller. It is the master block of the structure, and you should only place one on a multiblock.[2][3]

Why move up a tier?
Higher tiers allow taller plants and bigger output tanks. In this pack's config, each tier's plant height is set to 18 blocks, but the highest value you can set grows with the tier:[4]
- Basic: Tier.Basic.BasicEvaporationPlantHeight is set to 18, and the option accepts values from 18 to 36.[4]
- Advanced: Tier.Advanced.AdvancedEvaporationPlantHeight is set to 18, and the option accepts values from 18 to 72.[4]
- Elite: Tier.Elite.EliteEvaporationPlantHeight is set to 18, and the option accepts values from 18 to 144.[4]
- Ultimate: Tier.Ultimate.UltimateEvaporationPlantHeight is set to 18, and the option accepts values from 18 to 288.[4]
The output tank capacity grows with each tier too. This is what the pack sets:[4]
- Basic: Tier.Basic.BasicEvaporationOutputTankCapacity is 20,000 mB.[4]
- Advanced: Tier.Advanced.AdvancedEvaporationOutputTankCapacity is 80,000 mB.[4]
- Elite: Tier.Elite.EliteEvaporationOutputTankCapacity is 640,000 mB.[4]
- Ultimate: Tier.Ultimate.UltimateEvaporationOutputTankCapacity is 10,240,000 mB.[4]
Stepping up to Advanced
When you want more capacity, the Advanced Thermal Evaporation Block is the next casing. Like the Basic one, it makes 4 per craft. The Advanced valve and controller then build on your Basic ones, and Elite and Ultimate follow the same pattern.[2]

How does More Thermal Evaporation work?
5 parts
This mod gives you four tiers of thermal evaporation plant: Basic, Advanced, Elite and Ultimate. Every tier comes with the same four parts: a casing block, a controller, a valve and a compact version of the whole machine. Here is what each part does and how the tiers differ in this pack.[2][3]
The parts of a plant
- Casing blocks, like the Basic Thermal Evaporation Block, are copper-alloyed casings used in the structure of a plant. They conduct the large amounts of heat the process needs.[3]
- The controller, like the Basic Thermal Evaporation Controller, is the master block of the structure. Only one controller should be placed on a multiblock.[3]
- The valve, like the Basic Thermal Evaporation Valve, goes on the plant multiblock. It lets fluids be inserted and extracted through external piping.[3]
- The compact, like the Basic Thermal Evaporation Compact, integrates all the functions of a plant into a single unit.[3]
- The Structure Upgrade is an upgrade whose description says it increases the max height of plants.[3]
Each part is described as belonging to a plant of its own tier. For example, the Advanced controller is the controller for an Advanced plant.[3]
Moving up the tiers
The tiers are crafted as a chain. The Basic casing, controller and valve start from Mekanism's own thermal evaporation parts. The Advanced and Elite valves, and the Advanced, Elite and Ultimate controllers, are then made from the previous tier's version. One craft of the Basic or Advanced casing gives you 4 blocks.[2]

The Basic controller is built from Mekanism's thermal evaporation controller, so it is where the chain starts.
The compacts follow the same idea. The Advanced, Elite and Ultimate compacts are each made from the compact of the tier below.[2]

Plant height
The buildable height of each plant tier is set in the common config. This pack sets all four tiers to 18 blocks. The config allows Basic plants up to 36, Advanced up to 72, Elite up to 144 and Ultimate up to 288. The options are Tier.Basic.BasicEvaporationPlantHeight, Tier.Advanced.AdvancedEvaporationPlantHeight, Tier.Elite.EliteEvaporationPlantHeight and Tier.Ultimate.UltimateEvaporationPlantHeight.[2][4]
The Structure Upgrade is described as increasing the max height of plants. Here is its recipe.[3]

Output tank capacity
Each tier stores a different amount of output fluid, and higher tiers hold far more. These are the values this pack uses:[4]
- Basic: 20,000 mB, set by Tier.Basic.BasicEvaporationOutputTankCapacity.[4]
- Advanced: 80,000 mB, set by Tier.Advanced.AdvancedEvaporationOutputTankCapacity.[4]
- Elite: 640,000 mB, set by Tier.Elite.EliteEvaporationOutputTankCapacity.[4]
- Ultimate: 10,240,000 mB, set by Tier.Ultimate.UltimateEvaporationOutputTankCapacity.[4]
Each of these capacity options accepts values from 1 up to 2,147,483,646.[4]
Visuals
Render.RenderFluid is set to true in this pack, so the fluid inside your plants is rendered.[4]
How do you progress through More Thermal Evaporation?
4 parts
This mod gives you four tiers of thermal evaporation parts: Basic, Advanced, Elite and Ultimate. Each tier has a block, a valve, a controller and a compact version, so the progression is about climbing that ladder one step at a time.[2]
Basic tier: starting from Mekanism
The first rung builds directly on Mekanism's own thermal evaporation parts. One craft turns a Mekanism thermal evaporation block into 4 of the Basic Thermal Evaporation Block, and that block is what the rest of the Basic tier is made from.[2]

Climbing the tiers
From here the pattern is simple. Each block recipe takes the previous tier's block and gives you 4 blocks of the next tier. Advanced uses an advanced circuit, Elite uses an elite circuit and Ultimate uses an ultimate circuit, each alongside a Mekanism alloy of the matching level.[2]

Valves and controllers follow the same chain. To upgrade, you craft the new tier's valve or controller from the previous tier's version plus a block of the new tier. Controllers also need a circuit of the new tier and glass panes. That means you build each tier in order, and you can't skip ahead.[2]
- Advanced Thermal Evaporation Controller and Advanced Thermal Evaporation Valve come from the Basic versions.[2]
- Elite Thermal Evaporation Controller and Elite Thermal Evaporation Valve come from the Advanced versions.[2]
- Ultimate Thermal Evaporation Controller and Ultimate Thermal Evaporation Valve come from the Elite versions.[2]

Compacts
The compact items climb the same ladder. The Advanced Thermal Evaporation Compact is made from the Basic Compact, the Elite Thermal Evaporation Compact from the Advanced one, and the Ultimate Thermal Evaporation Compact from the Elite one. These upgrade recipes are of the Mekanism data type, and each one also uses a circuit of the new tier.[2]

How does More Thermal Evaporation work with other mods?
2 parts
In this pack, More Thermal Evaporation connects to Mekanism through crafting. The Basic tier parts are made from Mekanism's thermal evaporation parts, so you need those Mekanism pieces before you can get anything from this mod.[2]
Basic tier starts from Mekanism parts
Everything begins with the Basic Thermal Evaporation Block. Its recipe is built around Mekanism's Thermal Evaporation Block, and one craft gives you 4 Basic blocks. It also asks for an item from the basic circuits tag and one from Mekanism's basic alloys tag, so any item in those tags works.[2]

Which More Thermal Evaporation config options matter?
3 parts
Everything here lives in one file, config/morethermalevaporation-common.toml. It has tank capacity and height settings for each plant tier, plus one visual toggle. Here is how this pack has them set.[4]
Output tank capacity
Each tier has its own setting for how much output fluid (in mB) the plant can store. Every one of them accepts any value from 1 to 2,147,483,646. This pack sets them like this:[4]
- Basic: 20,000 mB, set by Tier.Basic.BasicEvaporationOutputTankCapacity.[4]
- Advanced: 80,000 mB, set by Tier.Advanced.AdvancedEvaporationOutputTankCapacity.[4]
- Elite: 640,000 mB, set by Tier.Elite.EliteEvaporationOutputTankCapacity.[4]
- Ultimate: 10,240,000 mB, set by Tier.Ultimate.UltimateEvaporationOutputTankCapacity.[4]
Plant height
Each tier also has a buildable height in blocks. In this pack every tier is set to 18, which is the lowest value each option allows. The maximum you could raise each one to differs by tier:[4]
- Tier.Basic.BasicEvaporationPlantHeight: 18, can go up to 36.[4]
- Tier.Advanced.AdvancedEvaporationPlantHeight: 18, can go up to 72.[4]
- Tier.Elite.EliteEvaporationPlantHeight: 18, can go up to 144.[4]
- Tier.Ultimate.UltimateEvaporationPlantHeight: 18, can go up to 288.[4]
Fluid rendering
Render.RenderFluid controls whether fluid is drawn inside the Thermal Evaporation Plants. This pack has it set to true.[4]
