What is Cyclops Core?
Same as in the All the Mods 10 2.12 guide
Cyclops Core is a mod that ships in the pack as version 1.25.5, built for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge (file cyclopscore-1.21.1-neoforge-1.25.5-683.jar). It has been in the pack since version 0.32 or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the mod list.[1]
Unverified The sources I have don't describe what Cyclops Core does or who it is for, so I'm not guessing about its features here. They also don't show any quests that involve it, and it isn't on the ATM Star path, so there's no progression placement to give you. Check back if more details get added.
How do you get started with Cyclops Core?
1 part
Same as in the All the Mods 10 0.50 guide
Cyclops Core is a library mod, and the sources here show no items to craft for it. What its language file does show is some command feedback and a few shared screen labels, so this section covers those instead.[2]
What you will notice in game
- Config command feedback: the mod has chat messages for setting config values. It replies with "Updated %s to: %s" when a change works, and with "Invalid new value" or "Please define one new value" when it doesn't.[2]
- If nothing can be changed, the message is "There were no config values found that can be set".[2]
- Ignite command feedback: the mod has a message for lighting a player on fire, "The player '%s' was lit on fire for %s seconds". If the name is wrong, it says the player '%s' was not found.[2]
- Screen labels: the mod provides text for an "Information Book" screen, plus "Rewards", "Search" and "Scroll", and the directions Up, Down, Left and Right.[2]
Unverified The sources here show no recipes, quests or config files for Cyclops Core in this pack, so they do not confirm a first item to craft or a quest to follow for this mod.
How does Cyclops Core work?
2 parts
Here's the honest picture for this one: the sources I have for Cyclops Core don't describe any machines, multiblocks, power, fluid or item handling. What they do show is the mod's configuration in this pack and a few of its in-game text strings, so that's what this section covers.[3][4]
What the pack sets in the common config
Everything lives in the common config file, and the pack ships these values. I can't say from the sources whether any of them differ from the mod's defaults, so treat them simply as what you get in this pack.[4]
- core.general.versionChecker is on (true), so the version checker is enabled.[4]
- core.general.analytics is on (true). This controls whether an anonymous mod startup analytics request may be sent to the mod's analytics service. The related core.general.anonymousAnalyticsID holds the anonymous id that service uses.[4]
- core.general.crashOnInvalidRecipe is off (false), so the recipe loader does not crash when it finds invalid recipes.[4]
- core.general.crashOnModCompatCrash is off (false), so the mod compatibility loader does not crash hard if errors happen in that process.[4]
- core.general.debug is off (false). The config describes it as a development debug mode that results in lower performance when enabled.[4]
- general.general.devWorldButton is off (false). Turned on, it adds a main menu button to open a dev world, and shift-click creates a new world.[4]
Commands and interface text
The mod's language file shows it has command feedback for changing config values in game: it reports when a value was updated, when a new value is invalid, and when no config values were found that can be set. It also has a message for lighting a player on fire for a number of seconds, plus errors for invalid arguments, subcommands and players.[3]
On the interface side, the strings include an Information Book label, a Rewards label, a Search label, a Scroll label and direction labels (up, down, left, right).[3]
Unverified Any machines, multiblocks, power, fluid or item automation features tied to Cyclops Core are not described in the sources available for this guide, so none are covered here.
Which Cyclops Core config options matter?
3 parts
Cyclops Core has a single common config in this pack, and it is mostly about safety nets and housekeeping rather than gameplay. Here is how the pack sets each option.[4]
Crash behaviour
- core.general.crashOnInvalidRecipe is set to false. The recipe loader will not crash the game when it finds an invalid recipe.[4]
- core.general.crashOnModCompatCrash is set to false. If something goes wrong in the mod compatibility loader, the game will not crash hard.[4]
Both are off, so a broken recipe or a compat error from a Cyclops mod should not stop the pack from loading. If something looks missing in game, it is worth checking your log.[4]
Debug and dev tools
- core.general.debug is false. Turning it on enables development debug mode, and the config itself warns it results in lower performance.[4]
- general.general.devWorldButton is false. When enabled, it adds a main menu button to open a dev world (shift-click creates a new world), so you will not see it in this pack.[4]
Analytics and version checking
- core.general.analytics is true. This allows an anonymous mod startup analytics request to be sent to the mod's analytics service.[4]
- core.general.anonymousAnalyticsID holds the anonymous id used by that analytics service. It is filled in by the config file.[4]
- core.general.versionChecker is true, so the version checker is enabled.[4]
If you would rather not send the analytics request, core.general.analytics is the option to look at.[4]
Unverified Which of these values differ from the Cyclops Core defaults is unverified, because the pack file only shows the values it uses.

Items and blocks
We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as cyclopscore, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
