What is AE2 Import Export Card?
1 part
This mod adds an Import card, an Export card and a Block Picker card for Applied Energistics 2. They work from your wireless terminal, so you can move items between your inventory and your ME system without walking back to a terminal.[1]
- The import card (Insert Card) takes items from specific slots of your inventory and dumps them into your ME system.[1][2]
- The export card (Export Card) works the same way in reverse. It pulls the items you choose from your ME system into your inventory.[1]
- The Block Picker card extracts the block you are currently looking at from your network when you press the "Pick Block" keybind, if the matching block is available in your network.[1]
To set a card up, open your wireless terminal, put the card in the slot on the right, then click one of the buttons on the left side to configure it. Fuzzy cards are supported on both import and export. For a blacklist filter on the import card you need an inverter card. On the export card, an acceleration card raises the transfer speed from 1 item to an entire stack, and a crafting card automatically requests and crafts items that aren't currently available.[1]
This pack ships version 1.20.1-1.3.0 of the mod.[3]
Where it sits in the quest book
In the pack's quest book, the mod appears in the quest a quest in "AE2 Addons", which asks you to obtain both the import card and the export card. It lives in the "AE2 Addons" chapter, in the "Storage and Power" group. That chapter is number 15 of 44 in the book and holds 43 quests.[1][2]
The quest book lists no prerequisite for this quest, so it is not shown as coming after the chapter's opening quest "AE2 Addons" quest, which many other quests in the chapter follow. The quest for the Pattern P2P Tunnel, a quest in "AE2 Addons", also lists none. The book shows no quest that comes after the Export Card quest.[2]
Unverified The sources here do not show whether the ATM Star quest path uses this mod.
How do you get started with AE2 Import Export Card?
5 parts
This mod gives you two cards for your wireless terminal: the Insert Card and the Export Card. Together they let you push items from your inventory into your ME system and pull items back out. Here is the order I'd go in.[1][4][5]
Step 1: Make the Insert Card
Start with the Insert Card. It takes items from specific slots of your inventory and dumps them into your ME system.[1]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: ae2insertexportcard:insert_card
In this pack it is a shaped crafting recipe.
Step 2: Make the Export Card
Next comes the Export Card. It works the same way in reverse: it pulls items from your ME system into your inventory.[1]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: ae2insertexportcard:export_card
This one is also a shaped crafting recipe in this pack.
Step 3: Put a card in your wireless terminal
- Open your wireless terminal and add the Insert or Export card in the slot on the right.[1]
- To configure the card, click one of the buttons on the left side.[1]
- Click slots to make a checkmark. Drag items from your inventory to the top to change the filter.[1]
- For the Export card, drag the item you want into one of the slots at the top. Then click a slot in your inventory to set the amount. Right clicking clears it back to X.[1]
Upgrades worth knowing
- A fuzzy card is supported on both the Insert and Export cards.[1]
- Switching the filter to blacklist requires an inverter card. The mod's own screen text shows the Whitelist and Blacklist labels.[1][5]
- On the Export card, an acceleration card improves the transfer speed from 1 to an entire stack of items.[1]
- On the Export card, a crafting card automatically requests and crafts items that are currently not available.[1]
Where it sits in the quest book
The quest book covers both cards in one quest, a quest in "AE2 Addons", in the "AE2 Addons" chapter. That chapter is in the "Storage and Power" group and is chapter 15 of 44. The quest asks you to obtain both the Insert Card and the Export Card, so making them in the order above completes it.[2]
How does AE2 Import Export Card work?
4 parts
These cards work from your wireless terminal. They let you push items into your ME system or pull items out of it without walking to a terminal. In this pack the two cards are the Insert Card and the Export Card.[1][5]
Installing a card
Open your wireless terminal and put the card in the slot on the right. To configure it, click one of the buttons on the left side.[1]
The mod's project page calls the first card the Import card. In this pack its item is named Insert Card, so that is what you will see in game.[1][5]
Insert Card: ME system intake
The Insert Card takes items from specific slots of your inventory and dumps them into your ME system. Clicking a slot in the configuration screen puts a checkmark on it.[1]
To change the filter, drag items from your inventory to the top of the screen. The screen has Whitelist and Blacklist modes. Changing the filter to blacklist requires an inverter card. A fuzzy card is supported too.[1][5]
Export Card: pulling items out
The Export Card works the same way but in the other direction: it pulls items from your ME system into your inventory. Drag an item from your inventory into one of the slots at the top to say what you want. Then click a slot in your inventory to set the amount you want there. Right clicking clears that slot back to X. A fuzzy card is supported here as well.[1]
- Acceleration card: improves the transfer speed from 1 to an entire stack of items.[1]
- Crafting card: automatically requests and crafts items that are currently not available.[1]
Crafting the cards
Both cards are crafted with shaped recipes that the pack's recipe dump lists as the mod's own recipes. Here is the Insert Card:[4]
Crafting Shaped

And here is the Export Card:[4]
Crafting Shaped

How do you progress through AE2 Import Export Card?
2 parts
There is no tier ladder to climb with this mod. The pack's recipe dump shows only two items from it, Insert Card and Export Card, and each has a single crafting recipe. No upgraded or higher-level versions of either card show up in the sources.[4]
Where the quest book puts it
In the pack's quest book, the quest a quest in "AE2 Addons" asks you to obtain both the Insert Card and the Export Card. It is listed in the "AE2 Addons" chapter, chapter 15 of 44, in the "Storage and Power" group.[2][4]
Crafting the two cards
Both cards are made in a crafting table with shaped recipes. Here is the Insert Card:[4]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: ae2insertexportcard:insert_card
And here is the Export Card:[4]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: ae2insertexportcard:export_card
The two recipes follow the same pattern. Each one uses a different bus as its key ingredient, which is shown in the grids above. The quest asks for both cards, so make one of each to complete it.[2][4]
How does AE2 Import Export Card work with other mods?
3 parts
This mod is an Applied Energistics 2 add-on, so its connections in the pack run through AE2. Both cards are crafted from AE2 parts, they work through the AE2 wireless terminal, and they sit in the pack's AE2 add-ons quest chapter.[1][2][4]
Crafting: built from AE2 parts
Both in-pack recipes use AE2 components, so you need some AE2 progress before you can make either card. Here are the two recipes as the pack defines them.[4]
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: ae2insertexportcard:export_card
The Export Card pulls items from your ME system into your inventory.
Crafting Shaped
Recipe id: ae2insertexportcard:insert_card
The Insert Card is the import-side card in this pack, which dumps items from your inventory into your ME system.
Using the cards with AE2 devices and cards
The cards work through your AE2 wireless terminal. You put the Import or Export card in the slot on the right of the terminal, then use the buttons on the left side to configure it.[1]
Other AE2 cards extend them. A fuzzy card is supported on both. Switching the filter to blacklist needs an inverter card. On the Export card, an acceleration card raises the transfer speed from 1 to an entire stack of items, and a crafting card automatically requests and crafts items that your network doesn't have right now.[1]
In the quest book
The quest a quest in "AE2 Addons" is in the chapter "AE2 Addons", in the group "Storage and Power" (chapter 15 of 44 in the book). It asks you to obtain both the Insert Card and the Export Card.[2]
The chapter has 43 quests in total, and most of the others cover different AE2 add-ons, such as "Quantum Computer" quest, "ME Extended Import & Export Bus" quest and a quest in "AE2 Addons". The book lists no prerequisite for the Export Card quest.[2]
Which Project Infinity 0.1 quests use AE2 Import Export Card?
2 parts
This mod only shows up in one place in the pack's quest book: the "AE2 Addons" chapter, in the group "Storage and Power". It is chapter 15 of 44 in the book and holds 43 quests, because it covers a whole bundle of AE2 addon mods, not just this one.[2]
The Export Card quest
The quest for this mod is a quest in "AE2 Addons". It has two item tasks, and you need to hand in both: the Insert Card and the Export Card.[2]
The book lists no prerequisite for it. Most of the other quests in the chapter are marked as coming after "AE2 Addons" quest, the checkmark quest that opens the chapter, but this one isn't, so you can pick it up on its own.[2]
What else is in the chapter
The rest of the chapter belongs to other addons. Several untitled checkmark quests and "Extended AE + Extended AE Plus" quest all come after the opening quest. A large group of quests hangs off the Extended AE one, for example "ME Extended Import & Export Bus" quest, "Assembler Matrix" quest and "Assembler Matrix Upload Core" quest. A second group comes after an untitled checkmark quest, for example "Quantum Computer" quest and a quest in "AE2 Addons".[2]
The Export Card quest is a simple hand-in, so you can finish it without working through those other branches.[2]
