With more Archives unlocked, it is time to explore the lobby and find the Echo of the Catalyst. Work with this Echo to unlock several Upgrades, including the Advanced Machine Block upgrade for your World Engine! You may teleport directly to this Echo from anywhere in the lobby after meeting them using /echo catalyst.

While the main goal will be to upgrade the World Engine with the Advanced Machine Blocks, you'll need to upgrade how it handles power first. Installing a single Nitro Tier Ender Cell should allow it to handle more complex crafts related to the power of the End. Of course, this will require at least one Nether Star. Return to the Echo of The Catalyst so they may show you how to upgrade your World Engine.

These compasses point to locations of Vaults. The Compass can be Sneak + Right-clicked when within 256 blocks from the vault to instantly teleport to the entrance!

Now that the World Engine can handle some Ender crafts, you will need to get your hands on a Dragon Egg without going to the End. Within the End ring, you'll be able to find a very special Vault with a dangerous fight inside. And maybe a Dragon Egg. You will need to craft the Mighty Ender Chicken Egg and use it in the Dislocator Receptacle in the middle ring to summon the boss. This can be a very difficult fight if you are not prepared! The Mighty Ender Chicken spawns with a shield that needs to be broken before it can take damage. This can only be broken by being whacked by a Chicken Stick. This boss also has several different attacks, including a laser that will most likely kill you. Make sure to hide during this attack! Once you have your hands on a Dragon Egg, the World Engine should be able to extract its essence into block form. Return to the Echo of The Catalyst once again to find out how to upgrade your World Engine. Note: It's worth setting up an Extractor to get more Dragon Eggs, or you can redo the fight over and over. Diamonds make for great tools, but they tend to be brittle and shatter. Using an Atomic Reconstructor, you can reinforce them to make them even stronger. The Reconstructor requires a special material to be crafted. The Geologist will know exactly where to find the crystal it needs.

Crafting the circuitry for the Advanced Machine Blocks will require more than just a steady hand. You'll need a machine that can be very precise for this. The Assembler should do the trick. Note: To assemble this machine, you'll need 3 Machine Cores of any tier. If you wish to learn more about Oritech, check out the Oritech Chapter.

The advanced circuitry you need will require a specialized crystal called Fluxite. This crystal can only be created by beaming power directly into an Amethyst Crystal. To do this, you will need to create an Enderic Laser and a Target Designator. Once you've crafted the Enderic Laser, make sure to build it near a Budding Amethyst Block that can grow crystals. By Sneak + Right-clicking with the Target Designator on an Amethyst Crystal, you can store the location into the Designator. Once stored, Sneak + Right-click on the Enderic Laser to designate where the laser should shoot. If done properly, the laser will fire and convert the crystal over into Fluxite. Use this to craft the Flux Gate.

Reconstructing diamonds into Diamatine is only the first step into creating the core for the Advanced Machine Blocks. This core needs to allow power to flow through it properly. Using an Empowering Setup, you should be able to empower diamonds for this exact purpose. Note: The setup requires an Empowerer as the center of the setup, with 4 Display Stands connected to power, two blocks away from each side of the Empowerer.

With more Archives unlocked, it is time to explore the lobby and find the Echo of The Infernal. Work with this Echo to unlock the Spirit upgrade for your World Engine! You may teleport directly to this Echo from anywhere in the lobby after meeting them using /echo infernal.

This compass points to the location of a Vault. The Compass can be Sneak + Right-clicked when within 256 blocks from the vault to instantly teleport to the entrance!

Hidden deep within netherrack, The Infernal mentioned a buried Vault in the Nether ring that is home to a very dangerous burning soul. The Vault comes alive once the jukebox is activated with its favorite song. Note: This vault is dangerous. Come prepared for a fight! To unlock the Vault, you will need to complete the dance once activated by the music disc. You can kill the Blazes to increase your Heat, or you can do the dance by following the lightest colored floor tiles.

This tormented soul holds the secret to another World Engine upgrade. Slay the guardian of the Vault to acquire Ignitium ingots.

Infusing a spirit into anything is not usually... welcomed, one could say. To start this process, you'll need a Spirit Altar to commune with spirits. You can find Runewood Trees within the Arcane Grove just be ready to put up a fight. Once you've harvested some of the Runewood, you will need a single piece of Refined Soulstone to create the altar. This requires either throwing raw ores into the Weeping Well structure, or The Magician can help you out for the right price.

"Commune" was probably a stretch. You will need the souls of specific mobs, and that means cosplaying as the Grim Reaper and swinging a Scythe. Mobs will release their spirits when killed with the Scythe, meaning you'll need to hunt down specific monsters for their souls. Spoilers on the next page -> Zombies and Skeletons should have all of the souls you need for this craft.

The heat from the Ignitium Ingot will give the spirits infused in the Soulstained Steel Ingots the feeling of home... The World Engine should be able to encase the spirits properly into a block that you can use for the Spirit World Engine Upgrade.

Encasing spirits directly into a block is probably not the most ethical thing to do, but the World Engine can harness that power for more advanced crafts. Bring this back to The Infernal to learn how to install the Spirit Block Upgrade.

To make the Advanced Machine Blocks for the World Engine, you'll need a sturdy frame to start with. Processing the frame requires creating Plastic. This can be used to make a machine capable of extracting a specific fluid from monsters. Note: Latex can also be acquired by making a Fluid Cow!

Using a Dissolution Chamber, you can infuse a Simple Machine Frame with Netherite and Pink Slime. This should create a frame strong enough to create the Advanced Machine Blocks you need for the World Engine upgrade.

This compass points to the location of a Vault. The Compass can be Sneak + Right-clicked when within 256 blocks from the vault to instantly teleport to the entrance!

Found within the Deepslate ring, this vault is easy to get lost in.

Completing the Maze Vault will reward you with at least 4 Fortron Infused Blocks. This is a Minor World Engine Upgrade that unlocks things like autocrafting or generating resources with an Extractor. The Echo of The Light Bender should show you how to install this Upgrade.

The Coercion Driver will convert energy to generate Fortron over time. Fortron is mainly used to power your MFFS machines, but it can also be used to make more Fortron Infused Ingots in the World Engine once you have upgraded it. MFFS machines require a redstone signal to run by default, most of which can be inverted in the upper left corner of the interface. The Coercion Deriver has two modes: Derive Mode converts energy from other mods or dischargeable items in its inventory to generate Fortron. Integrate Mode converts Fortron into energy at a slight loss. Placing Lapis or Nether Quartz inside will triple the Coercion Deriver's conversion rate when consumed.

Setting up a Quantum Link in its designated spot and linking it to the main World Engine machine block using a pattern provider, your ME System will have a direct link to the World Engine, allowing you to directly request crafting recipes and processes from the World Engine. The Light Bender seems convinced that this relatively simple upgrade will change the way you interface with the World Engine. Note: Each side of the World Engine must be configured individually for input and output.

If you're struggling with the Vault, or killing Ignis, you may use this music disc in your offhand to Light Your Inner Fire. This will generate 10x more heat for killing blazes and doing the dance puzzle, while also eliminating any penalty for missing colors. It will also let you deal triple damage with all of your attacks against Ignis.
