Before you can complete the Enchanter's first task, you'll need to find a tougher version of stone. Dig out further into the world until you find some Deepslate. While it might not look magical, the remnants of ancient magic can be tapped into for their enchanting powers.

Within the lower parts of the Deepslate ring, you have a chance to run into the Ancient City. Surely there is nothing bad down there. Just quietly sneak in and find a few of Echo Shards. You should see the Echo of The Enchanter after acquiring this shard. Note: The Enchanter mentioned that the Wayfinder can also offer you some that you can buy once you've completed some of their tasks.

The basics of infusing magic into your items starts with an Enchanting Table. This table will draw in the latent magical energies of bookshelves around them. Basic bookshelves will only get you so far! Note: You'll need either Infused Hellshelves or Infused Seashelves to reach the required Eterna levels for progression!

- Transferring Heat
Heat is easy to generate, but very easy to lose when transferring between machines. To reduce the loss of heat, there are special cables for this specific use. Craft a few of the Ultimate Thermodynamic Conductors. These should do the trick.

The first task from the Fabricator is to create an element that can withstand very high temperatures. The World Engine should be able to forge these elements, as long as you have the Machine Block Upgrade.

- Heating Things Up (Minor World Engine Upgrade)
The Superheating Element is perfect for the core of a heater. While it may seem like you have 2 options for the type of heater you choose to make, the Fuelwood Heater can only produce heat via coal or wood, rendering it insufficient to heat your World Engine. The Resistive Heater, however, specializes in converting power directly into heat. It allows for fine-tuning how much power is converted, and generates significantly more heat. Note: 2k FE/t is ideal for hitting around 350°C. To power the heater, you can either bring some generators or energy cubes down, or use Spectre Coils for wireless power transfer. Most crafts will require around 350°C to work, and you will need to maintain that temperature during the craft for it to complete.
