Wooden Shears in FTB StoneBlock 4

Wooden Shears is a small mod that adds one item, Wooden Shears, to the game. It gives you a craftable pair of shears made of wood, so you can get shears without any complicated setup. The pack includes it as version 1.21-3.2.3.0 for NeoForge.^[1][2]

The mod's project page lists a durability of 50 for the shears and says it has been configurable since mod version 1.2.0.0. The config tooltip describes the option as the maximum durability of Wooden Shears, with a range of 0 to 10,000, where 0 deactivates durability.^[1][5]

Durability

The only real mechanic is durability. The mod's default is 50, and this pack keeps that value, so the shears wear out quickly.^[1][6]

Wooden Shears only shows up in one place in the quest book: the "getting_started" chapter. It's an early-game quest, so you'll meet it right at the start of your run.^[3]

The quest is "Leaf Nothing Behind" quest, and it has no title in the pack's quest file. One of its tasks asks you to hand in Wooden Shears. It's an item task, so you just need the shears in your inventory.^[3]

Unverified The quest lists a second item task, but the quest file doesn't say which item it is, so I can't tell you what it asks for. Check the in-game quest book for the details.

Good news: Wooden Shears keeps its config very simple. The one option that matters is the durability setting in the server config, and this pack leaves it exactly where the mod puts it.^[1][6]

Durability

The option [[config:config/woodenshears-server.toml#Balance Options.durability]] sets the maximum durability of Wooden Shears. In this pack it is 50, which is the same as the mod default, so the pack did not change it. The allowed range is 0 to 10,000.^[6]

Setting the value to 0 deactivates durability entirely. The mod page also notes that the durability is configurable since mod version 1.2.0.0.^[1][6]

FTB StoneBlock 4 1.21.0 ships Wooden Shears 1.21-3.2.3.0, the NeoForge build. The mod has been in the pack since FTB StoneBlock 4 1.0.0 or earlier, so you've had it from the start.^[2]
