What is Just Enough Mekanism Multiblocks?

Same as in the All the Mods 10 4.14 guide

Just Enough Mekanism Multiblocks is part of this pack at version 7.11, shipped as the 1.21.1 build of the mod. It has been in the pack since version 2.16 or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the mod list.[1]

Unverified The sources I have don't describe what the mod does or who it's aimed at, so I can't confirm its features from them. Going by the name alone, it looks like a Mekanism multiblock helper for JEI, but that is unconfirmed here. Check in-game before relying on it. This site does hold FTB StoneBlock 4's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

Unverified I found no confirmed recipes, config options, quests or ATM Star path steps for this mod in the sources. Don't assume it gates any progression until you've verified that in-game.

How do you get started with Just Enough Mekanism Multiblocks?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mons 1.3.0 guide

Good news: as far as the sources show, you don't have to craft anything to get started with this mod. It looks like a planning and simulation helper for Mekanism multiblocks, so your first steps are about reading its screens rather than building a machine.[2]

The mod's text includes build entries for a Better Fusion Reactor and a Reinforced Induction Matrix. These are the two multiblocks it appears to cover.[2]

What the results tell you

  • For the fusion reactor, the results include Antimatter Per Polonium, Energy Per Antimatter, Required Heater Usage and Required Laser Energy.[2]
  • The specs and results also show counts for Heating Elements and Supercharging Elements.[2]
  • Heater usage is shown for the coldest and the hottest biome, so you can plan for where you build.[2]
  • Some tooltips are about layout. One says a heater must be placed right next to another named part. Another gives the distance from the ceiling to a named part, which is the steam height.[2]

Simulating and sharing setups

Some entries have a tooltip that says you can click to simulate them. The simulation can tell you to set the reactor's Injection Rate to a certain value, and it can show results for a given Burn Rate.[2]

Pay attention to the warnings. The mod can tell you that the reactor will be damaged or that water will be lost. It can also show the time from 0% to 100% damage. Check these before you build anything expensive.[2]

The mod also has Import from clipboard and an export function, each with a success message. That suggests you can copy a setup in and out, but the sources don't say what format it uses.[2]

Unverified The sources don't list any recipes or quests for this mod, and they don't say where to find its screens in the game. Check the in-game interface yourself rather than relying on this page for the exact steps.

How does Just Enough Mekanism Multiblocks work?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mons 1.3.0 guide

The only thing I have on this mod is its English text file, so this section stays short. The text shows that the mod works as a planner and simulator for Mekanism multiblocks. It does not add machines of its own to build. The entries it lists are a "Better Fusion Reactor" and a "Reinforced Induction Matrix".[2]

What the fusion reactor view shows

For the fusion reactor, the mod reports a handful of results. These are Antimatter Per Polonium, Energy Per Antimatter, Required Heater Usage and Required Laser Energy. It also shows a count of Supercharging Elements and a count of Heating Elements for the setup you are looking at.[2]

The heater usage result has separate readouts for the coldest biome and the hottest biome. Heating needs change with where you build, so check both before you commit to a design.[2]

Warnings and placement hints

  • Some tooltips are conditional on the Burn Rate. They show up "When 'Burn Rate' is" a given value, so the numbers depend on the burn rate you pick.[2]
  • Another tooltip tells you to set the reactor's Injection Rate to a specific value. Set it by hand on your own reactor to match the simulation.[2]
  • A placement hint says one block must sit right next to another. The text names a heater that has to be directly beside a sink.[2]
  • A steam-related tooltip gives the distance from the ceiling to a named part. It is there so you can get the vertical layout right.[2]
  • Warning tooltips tell you when the reactor will be damaged and when water will be lost. A separate tooltip gives the time from 0% to 100% damage.[2]
Tip: Entries can be clicked to simulate them, and the mod also has import from clipboard and export actions, each with a success message. That makes it easy to share a setup with a friend. The text doesn't say what format the data uses.[2]

Unverified I can't confirm from the available material how to open the simulator, which Mekanism version it targets, or any of the actual values it calculates in this pack. The pack has no config files for this mod and no recipes for it, so check those numbers in-game. This site does hold FTB StoneBlock 4's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

Which Just Enough Mekanism Multiblocks config options matter?

3 parts

Everything you can tune in this mod lives in one client-side file, config/jei_mekanism_multiblocks-client.toml. Each option is a simple true/false switch that decides whether a multiblock gets its own page in JEI. In this pack every one of them is set to true, so all the multiblock pages show up.[3]

Mekanism multiblocks

Mekanism Generators multiblocks

Add-on multiblocks

The pack also enables the pages for the add-on multiblocks. These options are all true: multiblocks.better_fusion_reactor.better_fusion_reactor.visible, multiblocks.mekanism_extras.evolvedmekanism.apt.visible, multiblocks.mekanism_extras.extra_matrix.visible and multiblocks.mekanism_extras.naquadah_reactor.visible.[3]

One option is worded a little differently in the file. multiblocks.mekanism_extras.evolvedmekanism.matrix.visible is described as controlling catalyst visibility rather than page visibility, and it is also set to true here.[3]

Tip: If a multiblock page is cluttering your JEI, set its visible option to false in this client config. Every option in this pack is currently true, so nothing is hidden out of the box.[3]

Unverified I can't confirm which of these values differ from the mod's own defaults, because no default values were available. The values above are what this pack sets, not a list of changes.
