What is Iron's Apothic Invaders?

2 parts

Iron's Apothic Invaders adds magical mobs from Iron's Spells & Spellbooks to the pool of invaders in Apotheosis. It is a datapack bundled inside a mod, so there are no new items or blocks to craft. You just meet new bosses when an invader event happens. This pack ships version 1.0.0.[1][2]

It's for you if you already enjoy Apotheosis invader fights and want more variety, especially spell-casting enemies. It requires Apotheosis to work.[1]

Which bosses can show up

  • Overworld: Necromancer, Archevoker, Pyromancer, Cryomancer, Priest and Magehunter Vindicator.[1]
  • The Nether: a stronger Necromancer variant and the Citadel Keeper, an ancient knight.[1]
  • The End: a stronger Magehunter Vindicator variant.[1]

Watch out for missing textures

Watch out: The mod's author says you need to set Boss Glowing On Spawn to false in config/apotheosis/apotheosis.cfg. If you don't, the magical mobs spawn without their texture. The downside is that this turns off glowing for all invaders, because the author hasn't found a way to fix it for just these mobs.[1]

Unverified The sources don't show whether this pack already sets Boss Glowing On Spawn to false. Check the value in your own config if the invaders look wrong.

Unverified No quests or ATM Star path steps for this mod were found, so where it fits in the pack's progression isn't confirmed. The mod page doesn't say either, apart from the Overworld, Nether and End boss lists above.

How do you get started with Iron's Apothic Invaders?

3 parts

Good news first: there is nothing to craft to get started with Iron's Apothic Invaders. It is a datapack bundled into a mod that adds magical mobs from Iron's Spells & Spellbooks to the pool of possible invaders in Apotheosis. Your first steps are about knowing what can show up and checking one config setting.[1]

What it adds

The mod doesn't add a new system. It widens the list of bosses that Apotheosis can send at you as invaders, and it requires Apotheosis to work.[1]

  • Overworld: Necromancer, Archevoker, Pyromancer, Cryomancer, Priest and Magehunter Vindicator.[1]
  • The Nether: a stronger variant of the Necromancer, and the Citadel Keeper, an ancient knight.[1]
  • The End: a stronger variant of the Magehunter Vindicator.[1]

Check the glowing setting

The mod's author says you need to set "Boss Glowing On Spawn" to false in config/apotheosis/apotheosis.cfg. If you leave it on, the magical mobs spawn without their texture. The author is still looking for a fix that doesn't turn off glowing for every invader.[1]

Tip: If an invader looks like an untextured blob, the glowing setting in the Apotheosis config is the first thing to check.[1]

Unverified Whether this pack already sets that Apotheosis option for you, or leaves it at the default, could not be confirmed from the sources. Open the config file and check it yourself.

What to craft first

Unverified No recipes, quests or in-game descriptions for this mod are available in the sources, so there is no confirmed first item to craft and no confirmed order of steps. Nothing in this section should be read as a crafting path. This site does hold FTB StoneBlock 4's own recipes, read from the pack itself: look the item up in the item browser.

How does Iron's Apothic Invaders work?

3 parts

There's no machine, multiblock, power, fluid or item-automation system to learn here. Iron's Apothic Invaders is a datapack bundled inside a mod for convenience, and all it does is add Iron's Spells & Spellbooks mobs to the pool of possible invaders in Apotheosis. It requires Apotheosis.[1]

What the mod changes

Apotheosis invaders are bosses that can show up in the world. This mod widens the list of bosses the game can pick from by adding magical mobs from Iron's Spells & Spellbooks. The sources don't explain how invaders are triggered, how often they appear, or what loot they drop, so check Apotheosis itself for those details.[1]

Which bosses appear where

The additions are split by dimension, and some mobs get a stronger variant in a harsher dimension.[1]

  • Overworld: Necromancer, Archevoker, Pyromancer, Cryomancer, Priest and Magehunter Vindicator.[1]
  • The Nether: a stronger variant of the Necromancer, plus the Citadel Keeper, an ancient knight.[1]
  • The End: a stronger variant of the Magehunter Vindicator.[1]

The glowing setting

The mod's author says the Apotheosis option Boss Glowing On Spawn has to be set to false in the Apotheosis config file. If it isn't, the magical mobs spawn without their texture. The author is still looking for a fix that doesn't require turning off glowing for every invader.[1]

Unverified The pack ships no config files for this mod, so I can't confirm what Boss Glowing On Spawn is set to in this pack. If invaders from this mod look textureless, check that option in the Apotheosis config.

Items and blocks

We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as irons_apothic_invaders, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
