What is Lootintegrations mod?

Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.23.0 guide

This pack ships Lootintegrations version 4.7, built for Minecraft 1.21.1 (the file is lootintegrations-1.21.1-4.7.jar). It has been part of the pack since version 1.0.1 or earlier, so it's a long-standing inclusion rather than a recent addition.[1]

Unverified What Lootintegrations actually does in this pack could not be confirmed from the available sources, so this guide doesn't describe its features, recipes or settings. Nothing in the sources places it in a quest book chapter or group either.

How do you get started with Lootintegrations mod?

2 parts

Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.23.0 guide

The sources here only show this mod's config, so that is where getting started begins. Going by that config, Lootintegrations adds extra items to loot, and a handful of settings decide how it does that in this pack.[2]

What the config does in this pack

  • moddedItemWeight.moddedItemWeight is set to 3 in this pack. The config describes it as extra weight for modded items, so a higher value makes them more likely to be chosen.[2]
  • skipExistingItems.skipExistingItems is false in this pack. If you turned it on, items already present in the loot would be skipped to avoid stacking extras, which the config says also raises the chance of modded loot.[2]
  • skipMapItems.skipMapItems is true in this pack. Map items are skipped when extra items are generated, to avoid structure search lag. Maps in the original chest still exist.[2]

Seeing what a chest can give you

There are also options that let you peek behind the curtain, and both are off in this pack. showcontainerloottable.showcontainerloottable prints a container's loot table to chat the first time you open it, and debugOutput.debugOutput shows the added loot in the log.[2]

Tip: If you are running your own tests, switch on the loot table printout first. It is the quickest way to see what a chest can hold when you open it for the first time.[2]

Unverified The sources here do not show any recipes, quests or item descriptions for this mod, so there is no crafting order or quest path to list. Check the pack's quest book and the config file itself for anything beyond the settings above.

How does Lootintegrations mod work?

2 parts

Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.23.0 guide

Lootintegrations works on loot rather than machines. The sources for this pack show no machines, multiblocks, power, fluid or item handling for it. What they do show is a config file that controls how extra items get added to loot, plus a few small loot tables and an item tag shipped inside the mod.[2][3][4]

How the extra loot is controlled

Everything you can tune lives in config/lootintegrations.json. The most important option is moddedItemWeight.moddedItemWeight. It adds extra weight to modded items, which makes them more likely to be chosen. This pack sets it to 3, which matches the default quoted in the option's description.[2]

The other options are switches. Here is what each one does and how this pack has it set:[2]

Tip: If you want to see which loot table a chest uses, turn on the showcontainerloottable option and open the chest. Turn on debugOutput if you also want the added loot written to the log.[2]

The mod's own loot tables

The mod ships small chest loot tables under its own namespace: easy, medium, hard, nether, village, water and empty. Each has a single pool with one roll and a single entry. Here is what each one contains:[3][5][6][7][8][9][10]

  • easy: one empty entry with weight 1.[3]
  • medium: one empty entry with weight 5.[7]
  • hard: one empty entry with weight 1.[6]
  • nether: one empty entry with weight 1.[8]
  • village: one empty entry with weight 10.[9]
  • water: one empty entry with weight 2.[10]
  • empty: one entry of Bone with weight 1.[5]

The mod also includes an item tag named ignored. In this version it lists only Barrier.[4]

How do you progress through Lootintegrations mod?

2 parts

Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.23.0 guide

This mod doesn't have crafting tiers you work up through. What it ships is a set of chest loot tables named by difficulty or area: easy, medium, hard, nether, village and water, plus one called empty. Here is what each one contains in the mod's own data.[3][5][6][7][8][9][10]

The loot tables

  • Easy: one roll on a pool with a single entry, and that entry is an empty one (weight 1). Nothing drops from it.[3]
  • Medium: one roll on a single empty entry (weight 5). Nothing drops.[7]
  • Hard: one roll on a single empty entry (weight 1). Nothing drops.[6]
  • Nether: one roll on a single empty entry (weight 1). Nothing drops.[8]
  • Village: one roll on a single empty entry (weight 10). Nothing drops.[9]
  • Water: one roll on a single empty entry (weight 2). Nothing drops.[10]
  • Empty: one roll on a single entry that gives a Bone (weight 1). This is the only table here that hands out an item.[5]

Because each pool has only one entry, the different weights (1, 2, 5 and 10) don't change what you get. The tiers look like placeholders that other loot can be added to, not finished loot of their own.[3][5][6][7][8][9][10]

Ignored items

The mod also has an item tag called ignored, and the only entry in it is Barrier.[4]

Unverified Whether the pack changes these loot tables, and which chests actually use them, can't be confirmed from the available data.

Which Lootintegrations mod config options matter?

3 parts

Same as in the FTB Skies 2 1.22.0 guide

Lootintegrations has only a handful of options, and in this pack every one of them is set to the default value listed in its own description. The pack didn't change anything here, so what you see is the mod's stock behavior. These are the ones worth knowing about.[11]

Loot weighting

moddedItemWeight.moddedItemWeight is set to 3 in this pack, which is also the default. It adds extra weight to modded items, so they are more likely to be chosen for the added loot. A higher number makes modded items proportionally more likely. If you want modded items to show up more or less often in chests, this is the option to turn.[11]

skipExistingItems.skipExistingItems is false. When enabled, it skips adding items that are already present in the loot, which avoids stacking extra items. The description warns that turning it on also increases the chance of modded loot, so it interacts with the weight setting above.[11]

Maps and performance

skipMapItems.skipMapItems is true. It skips map items during additional item generation to avoid structure search lag. Maps that were already in the original chest still exist, so you won't lose them.[11]

Debugging helpers

Tip: Both debugging options are off in this pack. If you're tweaking the weighting and want to see what the mod actually adds, turn on the debug output and check the log.[11]
