What is FTB Echoes?

Same as in the FTB StoneBlock 4 1.22.0 guide

FTB Echoes is part of the pack's mod list, and this pack ships version 21.1.10 of it (the file is ftb-echoes-21.1.10.jar).[1]

It has been in the pack since 1.0.0 or earlier, so it isn't a recent addition.[1]

Unverified What FTB Echoes actually does in this pack is not documented in the sources available for this guide, so this page doesn't describe its features, items or mechanics.

How do you get started with FTB Echoes?

Same as in the FTB Skies 2: Aero 1.10.0 guide

The only block from this mod that the sources confirm is the Echo Projector. The mod also has an entity named Echo Projection, so that is the name to look for if you spot it in the world.[2]

The mod's screen text includes a few messages you may run into: "Already claimed allowed amount." and "Too Expensive! Can't place order". Some tooltips also say "Hold SHIFT for more...", so hold SHIFT to see extra detail on them.[2]

Unverified The sources here show no crafting recipe for the Echo Projector and no quest in this pack that involves the mod, so there is no confirmed first-steps order or recipe block to point you to. This guide does not guess at either.

How does FTB Echoes work?

2 parts

Same as in the FTB Evolution 2 1.1.0 guide

Here is what the sources actually confirm about how FTB Echoes works in this pack. It is a short section, and I would rather give you that than guess at machines, power or automation the sources don't show.[3]

The Echo Projector

The block the mod's own text names is the Echo Projector, and its entity is called Echo Projection. Those are the named pieces the sources give us.[3]

When you break an Echo Projector, its loot table gives back an Echo Projector. The table has a single roll, no bonus rolls, and its only condition is the survives-explosion check.[4]

Messages you may see

  • "Too Expensive! Can't place order" is a message the mod ships. The sources don't show what sets the price or what counts as too expensive.[3]
  • "Already claimed allowed amount." is a tooltip the mod ships. The sources don't show what the allowed amount is.[3]
  • "Hold SHIFT for more..." is a tooltip hint the mod ships. The sources don't show which items it appears on.[3]

How do you progress through FTB Echoes?

Same as in the FTB StoneBlock 4 1.22.0 guide

There isn't a tier ladder to climb for this mod in the pack. What I can confirm is small: the Echo Projector block has a loot table that makes it drop itself, so you can break it and pick it up to move it somewhere else.[5]

That loot table also has the standard survives-explosion condition, so a projector caught in an explosion isn't guaranteed to drop.[5]

Tip: If you want to relocate an echo projector, break it and place it again. It drops as its own item.[5]
