What is Cloud Glass?

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Cloud Glass is part of the pack's mod list. This pack ships version 1.0.2, built for Minecraft 1.21.1 (file CloudGlass-1.21.1-1.0.2.jar).[1]

It isn't a new addition. It was already in the pack in version 2.25 or earlier, so it has been around for a while.[1]

Unverified The sources I have don't describe what Cloud Glass adds, who it suits, or how it fits into the pack's progression. I have no in-jar guidebook, platform description or pack changes for it, so I'm not guessing at its blocks or items. I also have no confirmed recipes, configs or quests for it, and nothing placing it on the ATM Star path.

How do you get started with Cloud Glass?

1 part

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Cloud Glass is all about crafting colored glass blocks in this pack. Every color has its own recipe, so your first steps are simply picking the colors you want and making them.[2]

Your first crafts, in order

  1. Start with White Cloud Glass. It is the one color with no dye recipe, and every dye recipe for the other colors builds on it, so it is the natural first craft.[2]
  2. Next, craft the colors you want directly. Each color has a standard recipe, for example Blue Cloud Glass and Red Cloud Glass. These recipes use wool of the matching color.[2]
  3. If you would rather use dye, every color except white also has a second recipe whose id ends in _from_dye. It starts from White Cloud Glass instead of colored wool.[2]

Here is the White Cloud Glass recipe exactly as it appears in the pack:[2]

And here is the dye route, using Black Cloud Glass as the example. The other colored variants follow the same pattern with their own dye.[2]

Tip: The glass part of the wool-based recipes accepts any colorless glass block, so you are not tied to one specific glass item. Use whichever colorless glass you have on hand.[2]

How does Cloud Glass work?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Here's the honest picture for this one: the only thing the sources show about Cloud Glass in this pack is its crafting recipes. No machines, multiblocks, power, fluid or item-handling systems are documented for it, so there's nothing to explain on the automation side.[2]

How you get Cloud Glass

Every color of Cloud Glass, from White Cloud Glass to Black Cloud Glass, has its own direct recipe. These are all regular shaped crafting recipes, so a plain crafting grid is all you need.[2]

Recoloring with dye

There is also a second route for the colored variants. Each recipe with a name ending in "from dye" starts from White Cloud Glass and takes a dye of the target color. Here's black as an example:[2]

The dye route for Black Cloud Glass, also a shaped crafting recipe.

The same pattern shows up for blue, brown, cyan, gray, green, light blue, light gray, lime, magenta, orange, pink, purple and red. For example, Blue Cloud Glass can be made either directly or through the dye route.[2]

Tip: If you already have White Cloud Glass, the dye route lets you turn it into another color without starting the direct recipe from scratch.[2]

Unverified Any special behavior of Cloud Glass, such as how it connects or how it interacts with light or entities, is not shown by the sources here. The pack has no config files for this mod, and no guidebook or tooltip text was found for it.

How do you progress through Cloud Glass?

2 parts

Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide

Cloud Glass doesn't have a tier ladder in this pack. The only thing the sources show for it is a set of crafting recipes, one per color, so your progression is simply picking the colors you want.[2]

Starting point: White Cloud Glass

White Cloud Glass has a direct recipe and no dye route. Every other color has a direct recipe too, plus a dye-based recipe that starts from White Cloud Glass.[2]

Each of the other colors, such as Red Cloud Glass or Blue Cloud Glass, can be crafted directly.[2]

If you already have White Cloud Glass, you can use the dye-based recipe for a color instead.[2]

Unverified The sources here show no quests, guidebook entries or other gating that involve Cloud Glass in this pack, so there is no confirmed quest progression for it.
