What is Dyson Cube Project?
Dyson Cube Project is part of this pack, which ships version 1.0.2 of it (the file is dysoncubeproject-1.0.2.jar). It was already included in 1.10.1 or earlier, so it is not a recent addition.[1]
The sources I have for this pack only confirm that the mod is installed and which version it is. They don't describe what the mod does, so I won't guess at its mechanics, recipes or items here.[1]
How do you get started with Dyson Cube Project?
5 parts
Dyson Cube Project is built around a sphere that you grow with sails and beams. The mod's own screen tracks the sphere's sails, beams, progress and power generation. All the recipes below are changed by the pack, so follow the ones on this page and not what you may remember from other modpacks.[2][3]
First: Make Beams
Start with the Beam. One craft gives you 2 of them, and you need them for the Ray Receiver and EM Rail Ejector controllers later, so make a good stack first.[2]
Next: Make a Solar Sail
Next comes the Solar Sail. It is the part that actually produces power, and it is also needed for the receiver controller.[2][4]

Then: Package them
The Beam Package and the Solar Sail Package are the packaged forms of the two items above. The sail package's tooltip tells you how many solar sails it contains.[2][3]

The EM Rail Ejector Controller
The EM Rail Ejector Controller is the controller block for the ejector. The mod notes that power is optional for it, but with power it can ramp up how many beams or sails are ejected.[2][3]

If you do feed it power, the ejector uses 40 per tick for each item it sends and has a buffer of 400,000. Both are the mod's default values, and the pack has not changed them. They are set by Config.RAIL_EJECTOR_CONSUME and Config.RAIL_EJECTOR_POWER_BUFFER.[3][4]
Finally: The Ray Receiver Controller
Finally, the Ray Receiver Controller is how you take power out of the sphere. Its recipe uses both a Beam and a Solar Sail, which is why you made those first.[2][3]

The pack leaves the receiver's numbers at the mod defaults: it can extract 50,000,000 power from the sphere every tick and has a buffer of 100,000,000. Each sail generates 20 power. You can find these in Config.RAY_RECEIVER_EXTRACT_POWER, Config.RAY_RECEIVER_POWER_BUFFER and Config.POWER_PER_SAIL.[4]
How does Dyson Cube Project work?
6 parts
This mod is documented here by its language file, the pack's config and the pack's recipes. That is enough to show you the moving parts and the numbers this pack uses.[2][3][4]
The parts
The mod has the EM Rail Ejector Controller and the Ray Receiver Controller as its controller blocks. Its language file also lists a block called Multiblock Structure.[3]
The items you feed into the system are Beam, Beam Package, Solar Sail and Solar Sail Package. The sail package has a tooltip that tells you how many solar sails it contains.[3]
Reading the Dyson Information screen
The mod has a screen titled Dyson Information. It shows your beam count, your sail count in a "Sails: x/y" format, the power generated and power consumed in FE, and a progress percentage. It can also show a "Needs more beams" message, and it has a button labelled "Subscribe to this sphere".[3]
If you want the sphere shown at full progress all the time, there is Config.SHOW_AT_MAX_PROGRESS. This pack leaves it set to false.[4]
Power and the sphere
The power generated per sail is set by Config.POWER_PER_SAIL. It is 20 in this pack, which is also the mod default.[4]
Beams limit how many solar panels the sphere can hold. Config.BEAM_TO_SOLAR_PANEL_RATIO is 6, meaning each beam can support 6 solar panels. The sphere is capped by Config.MAX_SOLAR_PANELS at 50,000,000 panels. Both match the mod defaults.[4]
Ejector power
The EM rail ejector uses power for each item it sends. Config.RAIL_EJECTOR_CONSUME is 40 per tick per sent item, and its buffer, Config.RAIL_EJECTOR_POWER_BUFFER, holds 400,000. Both match the mod defaults.[4]
One of the mod's tooltips reads: "Power Optional, with power it allows to ramp up how many beams/sails are ejected". So power is optional for the ejector, and supplying it lets you increase how many beams or sails get ejected.[3]
Pulling power out
On the receiving end, the ray receiver extracts power from the sphere. Config.RAY_RECEIVER_EXTRACT_POWER is 50,000,000 per tick, and its buffer, Config.RAY_RECEIVER_POWER_BUFFER, holds 100,000,000. Both are the mod defaults.[4]
Crafting the parts
The pack has changed every one of the mod's crafting recipes listed here. Here is each one as it works in this pack, starting with the basics.[2]

How do you progress through Dyson Cube Project?
3 parts
Good news: the crafting chain for Dyson Cube Project in this pack is short and easy to follow. Every recipe for the mod is marked as changed by the pack, so what you see below is the pack's version, not the mod default.[2]
The two base parts
Everything starts with two items, Beam and Solar Sail. Neither needs another item from this mod as an input, so you can make both right away. The Beam recipe gives you 2 Beams per craft.[2]

The packages
Each base part has a packaged version. Beam Package is made from a Beam, and Solar Sail Package is made from a Solar Sail.[2]

The controllers
The two controllers are the top of the chain. EM Rail Ejector Controller needs a Beam. Ray Receiver Controller needs both a Beam and a Solar Sail, so make sure you have crafted both base parts before you try it.[2]

Which Dyson Cube Project config options matter?
4 parts
Good news: every numeric option in the Dyson Cube Project config is left at the mod default in this pack, so nothing has been nerfed or buffed. The file is config/dysoncubeproject/dysoncubeproject.toml, and here is what each option does and what the pack sets it to.[4]
Sphere size and power generation
- Config.MAX_SOLAR_PANELS is the maximum number of solar panels the Dyson Sphere can have. The pack sets it to 50,000,000, the same as the mod default.[4]
- Config.BEAM_TO_SOLAR_PANEL_RATIO controls how many solar panels each beam can support. It is 6 in the pack, which is also the mod default.[4]
- Config.POWER_PER_SAIL is the amount of power generated per sail. The pack uses 20, matching the mod default.[4]
Ray receiver
- Config.RAY_RECEIVER_EXTRACT_POWER is the power the ray receiver can extract from the sphere every tick. The pack keeps the default of 50,000,000.[4]
- Config.RAY_RECEIVER_POWER_BUFFER is the size of the ray receiver's power buffer. The pack keeps the default of 100,000,000.[4]
EM rail ejector
- Config.RAIL_EJECTOR_CONSUME is the power the EM rail ejector consumes each tick per sent item. It is 40 in the pack, the same as the mod default.[4]
- Config.RAIL_EJECTOR_POWER_BUFFER is the power the ejector's buffer holds. The pack uses 400,000, which is the mod default.[4]
Visual option
Config.SHOW_AT_MAX_PROGRESS makes the sphere always display at max progress. It is false in this pack, so the sphere's appearance follows your actual build progress.[4]
