What is Quantum Cubes?

This guide covers Quantum Cubes as it ships in this pack. The pack includes version 1.0.2 of the mod, and it has been part of the pack since version 1.0.2 or earlier.[1]

Unverified The sources here do not show what Quantum Cubes does. No platform description and no in-jar guidebook were found for it. They also do not show a quest chapter, group or position for the mod in this pack's quest book, and do not show whether the ATM Star path uses it. Check the mod in game before relying on any of this.

How do you get started with Quantum Cubes?

3 parts

Quantum Cubes is a small mod, so getting started is short. The cubes are a personal dimension packed into a single block, and the pack gives you recipes for the Tier 1 to Tier 5 cubes and a remote.[2][3]

Step 1: Make a Quantum Cube

The cube is the heart of the mod. Its tooltip describes it as a personal dimension contained in the block, so this is the first thing to craft. Start with Quantum Cube Tier 1, the lowest tier. Here is its in-pack recipe:[2][3]

The exact in-pack recipe for the Tier 1 cube.

Step 2: Make the Quantum Remote

The cube's tooltip says you use an item to enter and leave it. The other craftable item from this mod in the pack is the Quantum Remote, so make it alongside your first cube.[2][3]

Step 3: Look at the higher tiers

Once you have the basics, the pack also has recipes for Quantum Cube Tier 2, Quantum Cube Tier 3, Quantum Cube Tier 4 and Quantum Cube Tier 5. Each one has its own recipe, shown below.[2]

Watch out: If you ever see the message "The Quantum Dimension is not loaded.", that is the mod telling you its dimension is not loaded at that moment.[3]

How does Quantum Cubes work?

2 parts

Quantum Cubes are blocks that hold a personal dimension. The mod's tooltip describes each one as "A personal dimension contained in this block". They come in five tiers, from Quantum Cube Tier 1 up to Quantum Cube Tier 5.[3]

The cube's tooltip also tells you to use an item to enter and leave. The language file only holds a placeholder for that item's name, so the sources here don't show which item the game fills in.[3]

The quantum dimension

The mod ships a biome called quantum_void, and it is about as empty as a biome can be. It has no precipitation, no mob spawners, no carvers and no features. Its sky color and fog color are both 0, and its temperature and downfall are both 0.5.[4]

Watch out: The mod has a screen message that reads "The Quantum Dimension is not loaded." If you ever see it, that is the mod telling you the dimension is missing.[3]

Crafting

All five cube tiers and the Quantum Remote are made with shaped crafting. The pack lists them as the mod's own recipes. The recipe blocks below show the exact in-pack layouts.[2]
