How do you get started with FTB Teams?
3 parts
Good news: FTB Teams doesn't ask you to craft anything first. The sources for this pack show no items to make for it, so your first steps happen in a menu, not at a crafting table.[2]
Step 1: Open the Teams screen
The mod adds a key binding called "Open Teams GUI", listed under the "FTB Teams" category in your controls. Check there for which key it is set to, since the sources here don't show a default key.[2]
Step 2: Decide whether to make a Party
The screen describes a Party team as a way to invite members and progress together. If you're playing with friends, this is the step to do before you get far into the pack, so you all work as one team.[2]
Party lives are off in this pack
The mod has an optional limited lives rule for parties, controlled by limited_lives. When it is above 0, each member death costs the party a life. A member who dies with no lives left is kicked from the party, and a party with no lives left can't invite new members.[3]
In this pack it is set to 0, so none of that applies. You can die without losing party lives or getting kicked out.[3]
How does FTB Teams work?
2 parts
FTB Teams is a team system rather than a machine mod. The sources here show no machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item automation for it, so this section covers only what they do confirm: party teams, the Teams GUI and the limited lives option.[2][3]
Party teams and the Teams GUI
The mod lets you create a Party team, which the in-game text describes as a way to invite members and progress together.[2]
The mod adds a keybind called "Open Teams GUI", listed under the "FTB Teams" category in your controls. Check that menu if you want to see or change which key opens it. The interface also shows "Click to show team info" text, so you can click to see a team's details.[2]
Limited lives
The server config has an option, limited_lives, that gives party teams a shared pool of lives. It accepts values from 0 to 2,147,483,647. In this pack it is set to 0, so party teams do not use limited lives here.[3]
If a pack sets the value above 0, the config describes these rules:[3]
- When a party member dies, the party loses one life.[3]
- If a member dies when the party has no lives left, they are kicked from the party.[3]
- If the party owner dies, a random member is promoted to owner, and officers have priority.[3]
- A party with no lives remaining cannot invite new members.[3]
Which FTB Teams config options matter?
1 part
The source for this pack shows one server option in FTB Teams that is worth knowing about: limited_lives.[3]
Limited lives for party teams
This option controls whether party teams have a shared pool of lives. If the value is above 0, the party has that many limited lives. When a member dies, the party loses one life. If a member dies when the party has no lives left, they are kicked from the party.[3]
Two more things change once lives are in play. If the party owner dies, a random member is promoted to owner, and officers have priority. Parties with no lives remaining cannot invite new members.[3]
In this pack the value is 0, which is also the mod default, so the pack has not changed it. That means limited lives are off: party deaths do not cost lives, and nobody gets kicked for dying. The allowed range is 0 to 2,147,483,647.[3]

Items and blocks
We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as ftbteams, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
