What is Dragon Egg Respawns?

1 part

Dragon Egg Respawns does one simple thing: it makes the dragon egg respawn each time you defeat the Ender Dragon. That means you are no longer limited to the single egg from your first kill, and you can farm as many as you like.[1]

There is one condition to remember. The egg only respawns if there is no block on top of the bedrock pillar, so keep that spot clear before you start the fight.[1]

Tip: Before you start another dragon fight, check that nothing is sitting on top of the bedrock pillar in the middle of the End. A block there stops the egg from respawning.[1]

In this pack

This pack ships Dragon Egg Respawns v1.0.3. It was already included in version 1.0.2 or earlier, so it has been part of the pack for a while.[2]

How do you get started with Dragon Egg Respawns?

1 part

Good news: there is nothing to craft to get going with Dragon Egg Respawns. It does one job. Every time you defeat the Ender Dragon, the Dragon Egg respawns, so you can get as many eggs as you want.[1]

What you need to do

  1. Defeat the Ender Dragon, as you normally would.[1]
  2. Check the top of the bedrock pillar in the End, where the egg appears. Keep it clear of blocks.[1]
  3. Collect the Dragon Egg that respawns, then defeat the dragon again whenever you want another one.[1]
Watch out: The Dragon Egg only respawns if there is no block on top of the bedrock pillar. If you built or placed something up there, clear it before the fight ends.[1]

How does Dragon Egg Respawns work?

1 part

Dragon Egg Respawns is a small mod with one job: it makes the dragon egg respawn every time the Ender Dragon is defeated. There are no machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item handling to set up, so there is nothing to automate beyond the dragon fight itself.[1]

How the respawn works

Each time you kill the Ender Dragon, the dragon egg comes back. That is how the mod gets you an unlimited supply of eggs.[1]

Watch out: The egg only respawns if there is no block on top of the bedrock pillar. If something is sitting there, you will not get the egg, so clear the top of the pillar before you finish the fight.[1]

The sources I have for this mod do not describe anything else about its behaviour, so this page covers only the respawn and the bedrock pillar condition.[1]

What changed in Dragon Egg Respawns between versions?

1 part

Dragon Egg Respawns has a very short history in this pack. FTB Evolution 2 1.1.0 ships version 1-v1.0.3 of the mod, and it was first included in FTB Evolution 2 1.0.2 or earlier.[2]

Mod changelog

  • 1-v1.0.3 (the version in this pack): the mod's own changelog lists a single entry, "26.2 Update". It gives no further detail.[2][3]

Unverified The sources here show no pack changelog entries for Dragon Egg Respawns, so any change the pack itself made to this mod across releases is not confirmed.

Items and blocks

We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as dragon_egg_respawns, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
