What is Blue Flame Burning?
2 parts
Blue Flame Burning changes how fire looks when soul fire sets you or a mob alight. Instead of the usual yellow flames, the burning entity gets a blue flame. It's a small touch, but it makes soul fire feel properly different from regular fire.[1]
What it does
- When soul fire sets the player or another entity on fire, that entity burns with a blue flame.[1]
- If a zombie burning with a blue flame sets other entities on fire, those entities burn blue as well.[1]
- Modded fluids that set the player on fire are supported too.[1]
In this pack
The pack ships Blue Flame Burning version 1.18.2-0.1.0.2. The mod has to be installed on both sides, so on a server both the server and every player need it. If you're playing the pack as normal, it's already set up for you.[1][2]
How do you get started with Blue Flame Burning?
1 part
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Good news: there's nothing to craft to get started with Blue Flame Burning. It's a purely visual mod. When soul fire sets you or another entity alight, the flames burn blue instead of the usual yellow-orange.[1]
What you'll see
- If soul fire sets you or an entity on fire, the entity burns with a blue flame.[1]
- If a zombie burning with a blue flame sets other entities on fire, those entities burn blue as well.[1]
- Modded fluids that set the player on fire are supported too.[1]
Unverified No items, recipes or quests for this mod could be confirmed in the available sources, so there is no first-craft order to follow. If you find something tied to it in the pack, treat it as unconfirmed.
How does Blue Flame Burning work?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Good news: there's nothing to build or wire up here. Blue Flame Burning has no machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item handling to automate. It's a small visual mod, and the change it makes is purely cosmetic.[1]
What the mod actually does
When soul fire sets you or another entity on fire, the entity burns with a blue flame instead of the regular yellow one.[1]
- Soul fire that sets the player or any entity alight makes that entity burn with a blue flame.[1]
- If a zombie burning with a blue flame sets other entities on fire, those entities burn blue as well.[1]
- Modded fluids that set the player on fire are supported too.[1]
What I can't confirm
Unverified The sources don't say whether the pack ships any config options, items, blocks or recipes for this mod, or whether it changes any behavior from the mod's default. Nothing beyond the visual flame change is documented here.
What changed in Blue Flame Burning between versions?
1 part
Blue Flame Burning has a short history, and it's easy to follow. Gravitas 4.0 ships version 1.18.2-0.1.0.2, which is the latest release listed in the mod's changelog. The mod has been in the pack since All the Mods - Gravitas 1.1 or earlier.[2][3]
Mod releases
- 1.18.2-0.1.0.2: Network calls for unsetFire were optimized, and an unused config was removed. This is the version in Gravitas 4.0.[2][3]
- 1.18.2-0.1.0.1: Item entities now also burn with the blue flames.[3]
- 1.18.2-0.1.0.0: Initial release.[3]
The pack changelogs have no entries for this mod, so the mod's own changelog is the only record of changes. I can't say from these sources which of the releases above were used in each earlier pack version.[2][3]

Items and blocks
We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as blueflame, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
