What is Luminax?
3 parts
Luminax is a small decoration mod that adds a handful of simple, single-colored glowing blocks to the game. If you build a lot and want clean light-emitting blocks for floors, walls and accents, this is the kind of mod you'll reach for.[1]
What it adds
Where it comes from
Luminax is similar to AntiblocksReChiseled, but it isn't a fork or a copy: it's 100% original code. It was made to replace Antiblocks in All the Mods 10, though it can be used in any pack.[1]
In this pack
This pack ships Luminax 2.0.1. The mod has been in the pack since version 0.0.16 or earlier.[2]
How do you get started with Luminax?
5 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 11 0.8.0-beta guide
Luminax is a small mod that adds simple single-colored glowing blocks. In this pack it gives you a full block, a slab, a stair, a wall, a pressure plate and a button, plus a wand item, and every one of them has its own crafting recipe.[1][3]
Start with the Luminax Block
Make the Luminax Block first. It's the basic full block of the mod, so it's the natural place to start. This one is a shaped recipe, so the layout in the crafting grid matters.[1][3]

Build shapes: slab, stair and wall
Once you have the look you want, craft the building pieces. The Luminax Slab, Luminax Stair and Luminax Wall each have their own shaped recipe in this pack.[1][3]

Add the pressure plate and button
The Luminax Pressure Plate is a shaped recipe, while the Luminax Button is shapeless, so its ingredients can go anywhere in the grid.[1][3]

Craft the wand
Last comes the Luminax Wand, which has its own shaped recipe in this pack.[3]

Colors and light
The mod's tooltips describe changing the color of a block and making a block emit light. They also mention left click or right click to cycle forward or backward, and middle click to open a color picker. Hover over your Luminax items in-game to see which controls apply to each one.[4]
How does Luminax work?
3 parts
Luminax is not a machine or tech mod. It adds a handful of simple, single-colored glowing blocks, so there is no power, fluid or item automation to set up. What matters is how the blocks are made, what they do when you place them, and the controls the mod adds.[1]
The block set
The mod includes a full block, slab, stair, wall, pressure plate and button: Luminax Block, Luminax Slab, Luminax Stair, Luminax Wall, Luminax Pressure Plate and Luminax Button. It also has the Luminax Wand item.[1][4]
Each block in the set drops itself when you break it, so you can pick up and move your builds freely.[5][6][7][8][9][10]
Crafting
Everything is crafted with mod recipes in the crafting grid. The full block is the base of the set, and each craft gives you 4 blocks.[11]

Each craft makes 4 Luminax Blocks.
- Luminax Slab: shaped recipe, makes 6 per craft.[11]
- Luminax Stair: shaped recipe, makes 4 per craft.[11]
- Luminax Wall: shaped recipe, makes 6 per craft.[11]
- Luminax Pressure Plate: shaped recipe, makes a single plate per craft.[11]
- Luminax Button: shapeless recipe, makes a single button per craft.[11]

Color and glowing
The mod's text shows a color property and a glowing property. The color property changes the color of the block, and the glowing property makes the block emit light.[4]
The mod also adds keybinds under a Luminax category: Open Color Picker and Toggle Glowing. Its tooltips pair the left mouse button with cycling forward, the right mouse button with cycling backward, and the middle mouse button with opening the color picker.[4]
How do you progress through Luminax?
5 parts
Here's what the pack's recipes show for Luminax: a decorative block, its Luminax Stair, Luminax Slab, Luminax Wall, Luminax Button and Luminax Pressure Plate pieces, and the Luminax Wand. Each one has its own crafting recipe from the mod.[11]

Breaking and picking up blocks
The Luminax Block, Stair, Slab, Wall, Button and Pressure Plate each drop themselves when broken. Their loot tables have a single entry for the block's own item, with no extra conditions beyond surviving an explosion.[5][6][7][8][9][10]
