What is Cobblegen Galore?

Cobblegen Galore adds a family of block generators to the pack: Stone Block Generator, Copper Block Generator, Iron Block Generator, Gold Block Generator, Diamond Block Generator, Emerald Block Generator and Netherite Block Generator. Each one has its own shaped crafting recipe.[2][3]

No quests in this pack involve the mod, and no in-jar guidebook was found, so check each generator's entry in JEI and test it in a creative world before you plan a build around it. How does Cobblegen Galore work?

Cobblegen Galore keeps the machine side simple. It adds block generators in a range of materials, from Stone Block Generator and Copper Block Generator through Iron Block Generator, Gold Block Generator, Diamond Block Generator and Emerald Block Generator up to Netherite Block Generator.[3][4]
Every generator in that list sits in the item tag block_generators. That is how the mod groups its generators, so anything that accepts the tag accepts every material.[4]
Picking generators back up
Each generator drops itself when you break it. If the block has a custom name, that name is copied onto the dropped item, so a renamed generator keeps its name when you move it. The drop also uses the standard survives-explosion condition, so don't blow your generators up.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11]
What JEI shows
The mod ships a JEI text line that reads "Source block is consumed". Keep that in mind when you look at the Cobblegen Galore entries in JEI.[3]

How do you progress through Cobblegen Galore?
