Silent Gear
68 quests, with the items each asks for and where they come from in All the Mods 10.
- No Anvils required
Silent Gear gear can be repaired using a Repair Kit. To repair an item, place the Repair Kit into a crafting grid, then place the materials needed to repair the tool in with it. This will "fill" the Repair Kit. To repair the tool, combine the filled Repair Kit with the tool you'd like to repair in a crafting grid.
Asks for:Azure Repair Kit,
Crimson Repair Kit,
Crude Repair Kit,
Sturdy Repair Kit,
Very Crude Repair Kit
- Silent Gear and Productive Metalworks
Some people like Silent Gear, while some like Tinker's Construct. Instead of choosing between them, we've decided to take the best of both worlds by using Silent Gear and Productive Metalworks! Productive Metalworks will change how we obtain our Silent Items. Instead of using Blueprints, we'll now need Casts and a Foundry. To start making the Foundry, start with Fire Clay.
Asks for:Fire Clay
- Foundry Drains
Drains are what we'll use to extract our the Liquid Metals. Yes, it is unfortunately too hot for our Hands or Buckets. Connect the Foundry Tap to the Drain, to drain out the Liquid Metals when Right Clicking the Tap. You can also view the amounts of Liquids in the Foundry when viewing the Drain!
Needs: Silent Gear and Productive MetalworksAsks for:Black Foundry Drain
- Foundry Tanks
Tanks are made for adding Liquids into our Foundry. Mostly Fuel. Mostly Lava! That appears to be one of the only ways to actually Fuel the Foundry.
Needs: Silent Gear and Productive MetalworksAsks for:Black Foundry Tank
- Foundry Controller
The Controller is the heart of the Foundry. Each Foundry will need atleast 1, to be made. We can use the Foundry to view the GUI of the Foundry. Here we can see the amounts of Liquids within the Foundry. We can also use it to put and take Items in and out of the Foundry.
Needs: Silent Gear and Productive MetalworksAsks for:Black Foundry Controller
- Building the Foundry
Now that we have a Controller, Drains, and Tanks, we'll need a few more Blocks. First, is Liquid Heating Coils. These will make up the floor of the Foundry, and are needed to Heat up the Foundry. Last is either Foundry Windows or Fire Bricks. These are what we'll use for the rest of the structure! The building blocks, quite literally. The Foundry will not need the frame built out, so every corner can remain empty; but it must have 4 Walls and a Floor to be completed. The Controller will tell you where a Block is missing, if there is one. The Foundry can be as small as 1x1 on the inside, as long as it has a Controller, Liquid Heating Coils, and the other Walls filled! I don't recommend making one so small though, as the bigger the Foundry, the more space it has in it! You'll know the Foundry is built, when the Controller lights up like a Furnace, and the Liquid Heating Coils turn Orange.
Needs: Silent Gear and Productive Metalworks, Foundry Drains, Foundry Controller, Foundry TanksAsks for:Black Fire Bricks,
Black Foundry Window,
Liquid Heating Coil
- Dyeable Foundry Parts
All parts of the Foundry (except Taps, Casting Tables, and Basins) can be dyed to any Color. Colors are interchangeable in a Foundry, too, so you can have multi-colored Foundries, if you like.
Needs: Building the Foundry - Casting Items
Foundry: Check Liquid Metal in Foundry: Check Now how do we get it out? Remember our friend from earlier? The Foundry Drain? We'll need to acquaint him with our new friend, the Foundry Tap. Place the Foundry Tap on the Drain, now we can place Blocks beneath it to drain the Liquid Metal into... Blocks like the Casting Bin, which will turn about 900mB of Liquid Metal, into the full Metal Block. Or the Casting Table which is what we'll need in order to make...
Needs: Building the FoundryAsks for:Casting Basin,
Casting Table,
Foundry Tap
- Casts
All Casts are made equal. In another sense I mean they are made the same way. By Pouring Steel onto an Item in a Casting Table! How do we make Steel you ask? Simply Melt down any Steel Items or Ingots. Or you can Alloy 9 Iron to 10 Coal. Alloying will happen when the Foundry is Heated and the right amounts of different Liquid Metals are in it. These two Liquid Metals will combine into one Liquid Metal!
