What is Structory?
4 parts
Structory is a structure mod that adds atmospheric buildings with a little light lore to your world. You'll find ruins, towers, cottages, graveyards, settlements, boats and more while you explore. It doesn't add machines or a tech tree. It gives you more interesting places to find on your travels.[1]
What you'll find
The mod grows through themed seasons that tell short, ambient stories through villagers and their structures. Season 1 was the Ruins update, with Mangrove Ruins deep in the swamps and Taiga Ruins in colder climates. Season 2 was the Harvest update, which brought the Old Manor, where witches are said to brew something mysterious, and a rare Graveyard.[1]
Who it's for
It's for explorers who like finding a story in the landscape. It also suits players who want more variety in world generation without changing how the rest of the pack plays.[1]
Good to know
- It works with most worldgen and structure datapacks, such as Terralith or Structory: Towers.[1]
- You can add it to an existing world, but structures only generate in new chunks. Areas you've already explored won't get them.[1]
- It has add-ons, like Structory: Towers, that can be used alongside it or on their own.[1]
In this pack
The pack's mod list shows a Structory jar named Structory_26.2_v1.3.7.jar. The mod was first included in version 2.25 or earlier of the pack.[2]
Unverified The mod list text gives the version as 1.3.17, but the jar file name says v1.3.7, so the exact version is unconfirmed. We also found no in-jar guidebook, no quests involving the mod, and no place for it on the ATM Star path. Where it fits in the pack's progression is unverified.
How do you get started with Structory?
1 part
Here's the good news: Structory is a structure datapack, so there's no gear to craft first. It adds ruins, towers, cottages, graveyards, settlements, boats and more to world generation, with a bit of light lore told through villagers and their buildings. Your first steps are about exploring, not crafting.[1]
What to do first
- Explore new terrain. You can add Structory to an existing world, but its structures only generate in chunks you haven't loaded before. Old, already-explored areas won't get them.[1]
- Look for the Season 1 ruins. The Mangrove Ruins are found deep inside swamps, and the Taiga Ruins are in colder climates.[1]
- Look for the Season 2 structures. The Old Manor is where evil witches are said to brew something mysterious, and if you wander too far you might find a rare Graveyard.[1]
- Want to know what generates in your world? The Minecraft Datapack Map by jacobsjo can show the structures for a given seed.[1]
Unverified I couldn't confirm any in-pack recipes, items or quests for this mod, so there is no crafting order to follow here. Any loot or rewards inside the structures also couldn't be verified.
How does Structory work?
2 parts
Here's the thing about Structory: it doesn't have machines, multiblocks, power or fluids to learn. It's described as a seasonally updated, atmospheric structure datapack with light lore, so its systems are all about world generation. Its content includes ruins, towers, cottages, graveyards, settlements and boats.[1]
How it works in your world
- You can add Structory to an existing world, but structures only generate in new chunks. Chunks you've already explored won't get them.[1]
- It's compatible with the majority of worldgen and structure datapacks, such as Terralith or Structory: Towers.[1]
- To see which structures sit where in a given seed, you can use jacobsjo's Minecraft Datapack Map.[1]
Seasons and add-ons
Structory gets themed content expansions called seasons. They tell short, ambient stories through villagers and their structures, building on what's already in the world.[1]
- Season 1 was the Ruins update. You can find the Mangrove Ruins deep inside swamps, and the Taiga Ruins in colder climates.[1]
- Season 2 was the Harvest update. Evil witches are said to brew something mysterious in the Old Manor, and a rare Graveyard can trap you if you wander too far.[1]
Structory also has add-ons, which can be used alongside it or as standalone datapacks. This lets players and modpack creators add or remove parts of Structory to suit their taste. Structory: Towers is the example the project page gives.[1]
Unverified The sources don't cover spawn rates, structure loot, mobs, or which of these structures and add-ons are enabled in this pack. They also don't cover any configuration for the mod in this pack. Treat all of that as unconfirmed until you've checked it in-game.
What changed in Structory between versions?
Structory has been in the pack since All the Mods 10 2.25 or earlier, and All the Mods 10 8.1 ships version 1.3.17. The pack changelogs only record version bumps for it, so here is the update path release by release.[2]
- All the Mods 10 2.43: updated from 1.3.9 to 1.3.10.[3]
- All the Mods 10 4.1: updated from 1.3.10 to 1.3.11.[4]
- All the Mods 10 4.3: updated from 1.3.11 to 1.3.12.[5]
- All the Mods 10 4.13: updated from 1.3.12 to 1.3.13.[6]
- All the Mods 10 5.5: updated from 1.3.13 to 1.3.14.[7]
- All the Mods 10 6.3: updated from 1.3.14 to 1.3.16.[8]
- All the Mods 10 7.2: updated from 1.3.16 to 1.3.17, the version that 8.1 still ships.[2][9]
Unverified The pack changelogs don't say what changed inside Structory in any of these updates, and no changelogs are stored for the shipped jars. Whether a bump added, removed or changed structures is unconfirmed. Also, the 8.1 mod list gives the version as 1.3.17 but the jar file name reads v1.3.7, and I can't tell from the sources why they differ.
