What is Repurposed Structures - Neoforge/Forge?
1 part
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Repurposed Structures takes vanilla structures and features and adds new variants of them, like a Jungle Fortress. If you like exploring and finding something fresh in places you thought you knew, this mod is for you. Many of its structures started out in the author's Ultra Amplified Dimension mod and were then moved into their own mod for the Overworld.[1]
This pack includes version 7.5.22+1.21.1-neoforge. It was already in the pack by All the Mods 10 2.25 or earlier.[2]
What to expect
- It adds no new blocks or mobs. It can run entirely serverside, so vanilla clients can connect.[1]
- On 1.18.2 and newer, all of its structures are in datapack form. A config datapack can turn structures off or change their spawn rates.[1]
- By default it does its best to import modded loot into its structures' loot. You can turn this off in the normal config file in the config folder above the mods folder.[1]
- Banners can show up in chests as a collectable Easter egg, but only if you have the Luck status effect or attribute. Vanilla can't give you Luck, so you need another mod or a datapack for it.[1]
- If the advancements bother you, the author provides a datapack that disables them.[1]
Unverified The sources don't show this mod on the ATM Star path or tied to any quests. They also don't show whether the pack changes any of its default settings, so check the config and datapacks in your own instance before relying on the defaults described above.
How do you get started with Repurposed Structures - Neoforge/Forge?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
There's no starter item to craft for this mod. Repurposed Structures adds more variations of vanilla structures and features, like a Jungle Fortress, and it doesn't add any new blocks or mobs. So your first steps are all about exploring.[1]
Your first steps
- Explore the Overworld as you normally would. The mod adds its structures to biomes directly, so you'll run into new variants of vanilla structures as you travel.[1]
- Open the chests you find. The mod has a setting that adds modded loot from vanilla structure loot tables and injects it into Repurposed Structures loot tables. For example, a Snowy Pyramid gets all the modded items that a vanilla Desert Temple can have.[3]
- Keep an eye out for banners in chests. The mod's page describes them as an Easter Egg collectable, and they only show up if you have the Luck status effect or attribute. Vanilla can't give you Luck, so you'd need another mod or a datapack for it.[1]
Turning things off
According to the mod's page, its structures are in datapack form. A config datapack lets you turn structures off or change spawn rates, and a separate datapack disables all of the mod's advancements if they annoy you.[1]
How does Repurposed Structures - Neoforge/Forge work?
5 parts
Heads up: this mod has no machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item automation to learn. Repurposed Structures takes vanilla structures and features and adds new variants of them, so the mechanics are all about how those structures generate and what you find in them.[1]
Server-side friendly
The mod adds no new blocks or mobs, so it can run entirely server-side and vanilla clients can still connect.[1]
How structures get into the world
Since Minecraft 1.18.2, all of the mod's structures are in datapack form. That means things like turning structures on or off, spawn rates, the height of its mineshafts and the size of its villages can be changed with a datapack rather than a config file.[1]
Some features are placed by a biome modifier. The badlands dungeon is one example: an additions modifier adds the dungeon feature to biomes in a dedicated badlands dungeon biome tag, at the underground structures generation step. So these dungeons are placed underground, in the biomes that tag covers.[4]
Archaeology loot
The mod ships archaeology loot tables for its structures, so brushing suspicious blocks in them gives their own drops. Each table makes a single roll with no bonus rolls, and every entry has a weight. A higher weight means a more common drop.[5][6][7]
The ocean ancient city table is a good example. Heart Of The Sea has a weight of 1, while Diamond, Emerald, Coal and Lapis Lazuli each have a weight of 8. Several pottery sherds sit at 3.[5]
The jungle pyramid table is flatter. Its eight entries, including Tnt, Gunpowder, Diamond and Emerald, all have a weight of 1. The jungle monument table leans toward junk: Bone has a weight of 16 and Diamond only 2.[6][7]
The land ruins tables change with the climate. The icy ruins can give Rabbit Hide, Rabbit Foot and Coal Block. The hot ruins can give Sniffer Egg, Bucket and Bowl. The cold ruins can give Leather and Sweet Berries. Tools in these tables, such as the iron axe, come already damaged by a random amount.[8][9][10]
Modded loot importing
The mod has a modded item importing option. When it is on, it adds modded loot from vanilla structures' loot tables and injects it into the mod's own loot tables. The mod's example: the Snowy Pyramid gets every modded item the vanilla Desert Temple can have.[3]
There is also a blacklist option for loot tables where you do not want this. You list the loot table identifiers, separated by commas, for example the birch mansion chest table or the jungle mineshaft chest table. The mod's own config file, in the config folder, is where you change this.[1][3]
Unverified Whether this pack changes the modded item importing setting from the mod's default is not confirmed.
Banners and Luck
How do you progress through Repurposed Structures - Neoforge/Forge?
2 parts
Repurposed Structures doesn't have a tier ladder for you to climb in this pack. No quests involve the mod, and no recipes produce its items. What the mod's own data files do show is its archaeology loot tables, which are the rewards you can dig up. Each table rolls once per dig, and the entries are weighted, so a higher weight means a better chance. Here are a couple of them so you can see how the rewards differ.[5][6]
Ocean ancient city archaeology
This table is the richer of the pair. Diamond, Emerald, Coal, Lapis Lazuli and Sniffer Egg each have a weight of 8. Gold Ingot, Iron Ingot and Copper Ingot each have a weight of 6.[5]
The rare finds are Heart Of The Sea and Tide Armor Trim Smithing Template, both at a weight of 1. Pottery sherds sit at a weight of 3 each: Blade Pottery Sherd, Explorer Pottery Sherd, Mourner Pottery Sherd, Plenty Pottery Sherd, Angler Pottery Sherd, Shelter Pottery Sherd and Snort Pottery Sherd.[5]
The table also has damaged gear, each piece at a weight of 2: Iron Sword, Iron Axe, Chainmail Helmet, Chainmail Chestplate, Chainmail Leggings and Chainmail Boots. Each is generated with its damage set to between 0.1 and 0.7, so don't expect it to be in perfect shape.[5]
Jungle monument archaeology
The jungle monument table is much more bone-heavy. Bone has a weight of 16, and Skeleton Skull and Potato each have a weight of 8.[6]
Diamond and Emerald drop to a weight of 2 here, the same as the brewer, heart, angler and skull pottery sherds. Tide Armor Trim Smithing Template is again the rarest entry, at a weight of 1.[6]
Unverified The contents of the mod's other archaeology loot tables are not shown in the sources here, and no quest chapter covers the mod, so a full tier by tier breakdown isn't possible.
What changed in Repurposed Structures - Neoforge/Forge between versions?
3 parts
All the Mods 10 8.2 ships Repurposed Structures 7.5.22 for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge. The mod was already in the pack in version 0.32 or earlier. Here is how it has moved along through the pack releases, and what changed in it.[11]
Pack releases that updated the mod
- All the Mods 10 8.1: 7.5.21 to 7.5.22.[12]
- All the Mods 10 7.1: 7.5.20 to 7.5.21.[13]
- All the Mods 10 7.0: 7.5.18 to 7.5.20.[14]
- All the Mods 10 6.0: 7.5.17 to 7.5.18.[15]
- All the Mods 10 4.5: 7.5.16 to 7.5.17.[16]
- All the Mods 10 4.3: 7.5.15 to 7.5.16.[17]
- All the Mods 10 3.0: 7.5.13 to 7.5.15.[18]
What changed in the mod
- 7.5.22: all Overworld land structures now exclude ocean tagged biomes. This should cut down on things like villages spawning in an ocean because another mod tagged that ocean biome as "floral". The config datapack was updated too.[19]
- 7.5.21: fixed an incredibly rare crash that could happen when a Villager or Wandering Trader with an explorer map located a structure while something else was also searching for structures.[20]
- 7.5.20: added the item tag repurposed_structures:blacklisted_from_modded_loot_importing, so packmakers or other mods can stop the mod importing certain modded items from vanilla loot tables while still importing others.[21]
- 7.5.18: Skeletons spawning in the mod's structures now have their position set before finalizeSpawn is called, which may improve interactions with certain mods.[22]
- 7.5.17: spawners in all non-ocean Overworld Dungeons no longer override mob light level requirements, so common monsters in them only spawn in light level 0. Most Mineshaft light block rates were halved for darker Mineshafts, and tunnel pieces with spawners no longer have light blocks.[23]
- 7.5.16: fixed the mod not using the updated c tags from Fabric and NeoForge.[24]
- 7.5.15: fixed a crash when a Cartographer or Wandering Trader explorer map can't find the structure in range, and fixed map custom names not being set properly. Ocean Temples and Ocean Villages could no longer spawn partially above y = 64, and the TNT in the Dark Forest Pyramid was reduced.[25]
Earlier mod releases
The mod's own changelog also records older changes. The pack changelogs given here don't say which pack release carried each of these versions.[26][27][28][29]
- 7.5.12: fixed Zombie Crimson and Zombie Warped Villages missing the bottom piece of their wells.[27]
- 7.5.10: fixed an int overflow bug with the min_distance_from_world_origin option. It had stopped some structures spawning in certain areas far from the world center. The affected structures included End Ancient City, End Mineshaft, End Outpost, End Pyramid, End Ruined Portals, End Shipwreck, End Stronghold and Nether Stronghold.[28]
- 7.5.8: Mushroom Villages can't spawn within 6 chunks of vanilla villages, outposts or other of the mod's villages, and the mod's Outposts can't spawn within 5 chunks of a Mushroom Village.[29]
- 7.5.7: fixed the mod's random enchanting not being limited to the #minecraft:on_random_loot enchantment tag, and added compat with Biomes We've Gone floral biomes for the cherry based flower structures.[29]
- The release just before 7.5.7: End Dungeons now spawn only farther than 1000 blocks from world center, and slightly less frequently.[30]

"From pack files" means the list came from the pack's own files; "from the published release" means ForgeBase read the jars of the release itself.
Items and blocks
We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as repurposed_structures, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
