What is OverloadedArmorBar?
OverloadedArmorBar is part of this pack, and the current version ships OverloadedArmorBar 2, built for NeoForge 1.21. It has been in the pack since version 0.32 or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the mod list rather than a recent addition.[1]
Unverified The sources I have don't describe what OverloadedArmorBar does, who it is aimed at, or whether the pack changes any of its settings. They also don't show where it fits in the pack's progression or on the ATM Star path, so none of that is covered here.
How does OverloadedArmorBar work?
2 parts
The only thing the pack's files tell us about OverloadedArmorBar is its client config, so this section stays short. The sources describe no machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item automation for this mod, and no recipes produce its items. Everything below is about how the armor bar is displayed.[2]
Display settings
The mod's settings live in the client config file, so they only affect your own game display. The pack sets two visibility options, and both are off.[2]
- [[config:config/overloadedarmorbar-client.toml#general.Always show bar]] is false in the pack. Its description asks whether to always show the armor bar even if it is empty.[2]
- [[config:config/overloadedarmorbar-client.toml#general.Show empty icons]] is false in the pack. Its description asks whether to show empty armor icons.[2]
Bar colors
[[config:config/overloadedarmorbar-client.toml#general.color values]] is a list of colors, and each one must be written in #RRGGBB format. The pack's list is #FFFFFF, #FF5500, #FFC747, #27FFE3, #00FF00 and #7F00FF, in that order.[2]
Unverified How the mod decides which color is used for which part of your armor, and how it draws the bar when armor exceeds the vanilla maximum, is not explained in the sources available, so it is unverified here.
Which OverloadedArmorBar config options matter?
OverloadedArmorBar only has a few client-side options, and all of them live in one file. This is exactly how the pack sets them.[2]
- [[config:config/overloadedarmorbar-client.toml#general.Always show bar]] is set to false. The armor bar is not forced to show when it is empty.[2]
- [[config:config/overloadedarmorbar-client.toml#general.Show empty icons]] is set to false. Empty armor icons are not drawn.[2]
- [[config:config/overloadedarmorbar-client.toml#general.color values]] is set to a list of six colors: #FFFFFF, #FF5500, #FFC747, #27FFE3, #00FF00 and #7F00FF. Colors have to be written in #RRGGBB format.[2]
If you want the armor bar visible all the time, even with nothing equipped, flip the first option to true. If you also want the empty armor icons drawn, flip the second one to true as well.[2]
If you want to restyle the bar, edit the color list. Keep every entry in #RRGGBB format.[2]
Unverified The sources only show the values this pack uses, not the mod's own defaults. Whether the pack changed any of these three options, and which color in the list applies to which layer of armor, is unconfirmed.
