What is Factory Blocks?

Factory Blocks is part of the pack. This pack ships version 1.4.0+mc1.21.1 of the NeoForge build, and the mod was first included in version 2.25 of the pack or earlier.[1]

Unverified The sources I have don't describe what Factory Blocks adds, who it is best suited to, or how its blocks work, so I can't say more about its features here. I also can't confirm any place for it in the pack's progression, including the ATM Star path, or any quests that involve it. Check in-game before relying on any of that.

How do you get started with Factory Blocks?

2 parts

Factory Blocks is a set of industrial-looking blocks, and in this pack the item to make first is the Factory Block. The pack has changed its crafting recipe, so don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults.[2][3]

Step 1: Craft the Factory Block

This is the only Factory Blocks item with a recipe I can confirm in this pack, so it is the place to start. Here is the exact in-pack recipe:[2]

The pack changed this crafting recipe, so this is the version to follow here.

Step 2: See what else the mod offers

The mod's tooltips show where you can go next. There are caution-stripe blocks in yellow-black and orange-white. There are also rusty pieces: segmented rusty plates, a slightly rusty plate, extremely rusted panels, extremely corroded panels and a large rusty scaffold. You'll also find a gold-framed purple circuit block.[3]

The mod also has fans. The tooltips list a redstone-powered fan, a redstone four-sided fan and a redstone malfunctioning fan. There are also always-on versions of the four-sided and malfunctioning fans, so you can pick between redstone control and a fan that just runs.[3]

How does Factory Blocks work?

2 parts

The information available for Factory Blocks is thin, so this section is short. The tooltips in the mod's language file describe blocks by their look, such as caution stripes, rusty plates, scaffolding and corroded panels, plus a few fan variants.[3]

Fan variants

The fans are the only blocks whose tooltips hint at how they work. They are split by how they are switched on, how many sides they use, and whether they malfunction:[3]

  • Fan (Redstone Powered): the basic fan, powered by redstone.[3]
  • Fan (Redstone Four Sided): the four-sided fan, powered by redstone.[3]
  • Fan (Always On Four Sided): the four-sided fan that is always on.[3]
  • Fan (Redstone Malfunctioning): the malfunctioning fan, powered by redstone.[3]
  • Fan (Always On Malfunctioning): the malfunctioning fan that is always on.[3]

Crafting the Factory Block

The pack has changed the recipe for the Factory Block. Use the recipe below rather than relying on the mod's default.[2]

This is the recipe as the pack has changed it.

How do you progress through Factory Blocks?

There isn't a tier ladder to climb here. The pack's recipe dump lists just one recipe that makes an item from this mod: the Factory Block. The pack has changed that recipe, so it's the pack's version you craft, not the mod default.[2]

This is the pack's changed version of the recipe, and it is a shaped crafting recipe.

The recipe takes plain stone and any iron ingot, so once you have iron you can make a Factory Block.[2]

Unverified The sources here do not show any further tiers, upgrades or a recommended order for this mod, and they show no quest chapter that involves it. No in-jar guidebook was found to check either, so there is no progression path to describe beyond the recipe above.

What changed in Factory Blocks between versions?

1 part

Factory Blocks has been in All the Mods 10 since version 2.25 or earlier, and All the Mods 10 8.1 ships version 1.4.0+mc1.21.1 of the mod (the NeoForge build for Minecraft 1.21.1).[1]

Pack release changes

  • All the Mods 10 2.39: Factory Blocks was updated from 1.3.4+mc1.21.1 to 1.4.0+mc1.21.1. That is the version you get in 8.1.[1][4]

Unverified The mod's own changelog for 1.4.0 is not available, so what actually changed between 1.3.4 and 1.4.0 (new blocks, fixes, or balance changes) is unverified. Check the mod's official release notes for details.
