Too Fast in All the Mods 10: To the Sky

Too Fast is part of the pack's mod list. This pack ships version 0.4.3.6, in the file toofast-1.21.0-0.4.3.6.jar. The mod was first included in this pack's 2.0.4 release or earlier.^[1]

Unverified The sources I have don't describe what Too Fast actually does, who it is aimed at, or where it fits in the pack's progression. I also have no confirmed recipes, config options, or quests for it, so I'm not guessing at any of that. Check the mod in-game before relying on any behavior.

The sources I have for this section are the pack's quest book, and the chapter they cover is PneumaticCraft. This is where the book sends you first, so the steps below follow its opening quests in order. The chapter also tells you to check JEI, read the tooltips and read the in-game manual as you go.^[2]

The first steps, in order

1. Make Compressed Iron Ingot. The quest "PneumaticCraft: Repressurized" quest says the easiest way is to dig a hole, throw in iron ingots or blocks, and blow it up with TNT. Some get lost in the explosion, but the book calls that a risk worth taking.^[2]
2. Make Reinforced Stone. The quest "Reinforced Stone" quest asks you to start with 32, using compressed iron and regular stone, because you will need a lot of it.^[2]
3. Craft Pressure Tube for the quest "Moving Pressure" quest. They are how you move pressure around.^[2]
4. Build an Air Compressor. The quest "Generating Pressure" quest says to put burnable items into it, and recommends making at least 3 to start off with.^[2]
5. Put a Security Upgrade into your machines. The quest "Preventing Explosions?" quest warns that everything can blow up, and this upgrade makes sure a machine does not explode.^[2]
6. Build the Pressure Chamber from Pressure Chamber Wall, Pressure Chamber Valve and Pressure Chamber Interface. The quest "The Pressure Chamber" quest comes after the explosion-prevention and reinforced stone quests. The multiblock can be as small as 3x3x3 or as big as 5x5x5, and the quest asks for the blocks of the 5x5x5.^[2]

After the Pressure Chamber, the book points you to crude oil in "Crude Oil" quest, which it calls the path to plastic. This page stops there.^[2]

Unverified The sources here do not show what Too Fast itself adds or how it is set up in this pack. No config files, recipes, tooltips or quest text for it were available, so check the pack's quest book for anything specific to that mod.

I can't give you a tier breakdown for Too Fast here. The only quest chapter I have to work from is the PneumaticCraft chapter, which has 127 quests, and none of them ask for or mention Too Fast. Using that chapter as Too Fast's progression would just be a guess, so I'm leaving that out.^[2]

If you want a progression path from that chapter, it belongs on the PneumaticCraft page, not this one. It starts at "PneumaticCraft: Repressurized" quest, which asks you to craft Compressed Iron Ingot.^[2]

I went through the quest sources for this mod and came up empty: none of the 127 quests in the PneumaticCraft chapter asks you for an item from this mod. Every task in that chapter wants a PneumaticCraft item, plus a few vanilla or Mystical Agriculture ones, such as Lapis Lazuli and Compressed Iron Seeds.^[2]

So there is no quest order to walk you through here, and I won't invent one. If you want a quest chapter that does cover a mod, the PneumaticCraft chapter is worth a look on its own: it starts at "PneumaticCraft: Repressurized" quest and branches out from there.^[2]
