What is Observable?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Observable is a performance-profiling tool. It's a spiritual successor to LagGoggles, and it profiles (tile) entities to show you what's eating tick time and where. If your world or server is lagging, this is how you start tracking down the cause.[1]
It's aimed at players and server admins who want to find laggy machines, entities or block entities instead of guessing. You don't need it to progress, but it's handy once your base fills up with automation.[1]
Version in the pack
The pack ships Observable 5.4.4. It has been part of the pack since version 2.25 or earlier, so it's a long-standing inclusion.[2]
Opening the profiler
According to the mod's project page, the default keybind to open the profiler GUI is R. That's the mod's default, and you can check your own controls menu to see what it's set to.[1]
Unverified Whether the pack changes the profiler keybind or any of the mod's settings isn't confirmed by the sources, so check your controls menu in-game. No quests involving Observable were found, and it isn't on the ATM Star quest path. Treat it as a utility tool rather than a progression step.
How do you get started with Observable?
2 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Observable is a profiling tool, not a content mod. It is a spiritual successor to LagGoggles that profiles (tile) entities and shows you what is taking up tick time and where. That makes it the first thing to reach for when your world or server starts to lag.[1]
Step 1: Open the profiler
The default keybind to open the profiler GUI is R. If that key clashes with something else in your setup, check your controls menu and rebind it there. I can't confirm from the sources whether the pack changes the default.[1]
Do you need to craft anything?
There is no crafting step to get started. The sources I have don't document any items or recipes for this mod, so I won't point you to a recipe block or a first item to make. This pack has no quests that involve the mod either.[1]
Unverified Whether Observable adds any items or blocks in this pack, and what the profiler GUI's individual options do, is not confirmed by the available sources.
How does Observable work?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Observable isn't a machine mod. It's a profiling tool that helps you find out what is lagging your world or server. It profiles (tile) entities and shows you what is taking up tick time and where, so you can track down the block or entity that's dragging performance down.[1]
It's described as a spiritual successor to LagGoggles, so if you've used that tool on older versions, the idea will feel familiar.[1]
Opening the profiler
The profiler is driven from a GUI. The mod's default keybind to open it is R. If the key doesn't work for you, check your Controls menu, since another mod or a changed setting could have moved it.[1]
What it needs to run
On Forge, Observable depends on Architectury API and Kotlin for Forge. The Fabric version depends on Architectury API and Fabric Language Kotlin. The project page says the mod is compatible with both Forge and Fabric.[1]
What isn't covered
Unverified The available sources don't describe any machines, multiblocks, power, fluid or item handling, automation, config options or recipes for this mod, so none are covered here. Which loader the pack uses, and whether the pack changes the default R keybind, also can't be confirmed from the sources.
Which Observable config options matter?
Observable only has one config option that shows up in this pack's config file, and it's a simple one. The pack sets allPlayersAllowed to true in config/observable.json.[3]
Unverified The sources don't say what allPlayersAllowed does in detail, and they don't give the mod's default value. So it's unverified whether the pack changed this from the default, and you shouldn't assume what it controls beyond its name.
What changed in Observable between versions?
Observable has been in the pack since All the Mods 10: To the Sky 1.0 or earlier, and version 2.0.4 ships Observable 5.4.4.[4]
The sources I have don't list any specific changes for this mod, and there are no pack changelog entries for it. The mod's 5.4.4 changelog only points you to Observable's GitHub releases page for the changes between versions.[5]

Items and blocks
We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as observable, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
