What is Restrictions?
This pack ships Restrictions at version 1.21-7.0.3 (the file restrictions-1.21-7.0.3.jar). It has been in the pack since All the Mons 0.3.0-beta or earlier, so it's a long-standing part of the mod list rather than a recent addition.[1]
Unverified What Restrictions actually does in this pack is not confirmed by the sources available for this guide, and no in-jar guidebook was found for it. Check the mod in-game before relying on any specific behaviour.
The Cobblemon chapter of the quest book, "Gotta Find Em' All" (chapter 12 of 70), covers fossils, archeology and fishing, and it doesn't feature this mod. I can't confirm which chapter, if any, places it in the quest book.[2]
How do you get started with Restrictions?
3 parts
Restrictions adds a handful of blocks and one piece of armor that push, pull or steer entities: items, mobs and players, you included. The order below lets you test each piece safely.[3][4]
Step one: make the Glass Boots
Start with Glass Boots. While you wear them, the Attractor, Pusher and One Way have no effect on you. That makes them your safety net, because you can build and test the other blocks without getting shoved around. Their recipe is the mod's own, while the pack changed the recipes of the other items in this section.[3][4]

Step two: Pusher and Attractor
Next, make the Pusher and the Attractor. They are a matching pair: the Pusher pushes entities and the Attractor attracts them. Both work from a distance equal to the redstone signal strength they receive, so how far they reach depends on the signal you feed them. The pack changed both recipes, so go by the recipes below.[3][4]
Step three: One Way and One Way Wall
Last come the directional blocks. One Way forces entities to move in a certain direction. One Way Wall only allows entities to move in a certain direction. The pack changed both recipes.[3][4]

In the game, each of these items has a short description that shows when you press Shift, which is a handy reminder of what each block does.[4]
How does Restrictions work?
4 parts
Restrictions is a small mod, and everything in it is about controlling how things move. The sources only cover what each block does, not machines, multiblocks, power or fluids, so this section sticks to the movement blocks and the boots.[4]
Redstone-powered movers
The Attractor pulls entities, items, mobs and players toward it from a distance. That distance equals the redstone signal strength the block receives, so a stronger signal gives you a longer reach.[4]
The Pusher is the opposite: it pushes entities, items, mobs and players away, again from a distance equal to the redstone signal strength it receives.[4]
Directional blocks
The One Way block forces entities, items, mobs and players to move in a certain direction.[4]
The One Way Wall is a different idea: it only allows entities, items, mobs and players to move through in a certain direction, so it works like a one-way gate.[4]
Unverified How you choose or change the direction of the One Way and One Way Wall blocks is not confirmed by the available sources.
Opting out with Glass Boots
If you wear the Glass Boots, the Attractor, Pusher and One Way have no effect on you. That is handy when you build a contraption that moves mobs and items around and still need to walk through it yourself.[4]
Crafting in this pack
The pack changes the recipes for the Attractor, Pusher, One Way and One Way Wall, so use the recipes below rather than anything you remember from the mod's defaults.[3]

The Glass Boots use the mod's own recipe, which the pack leaves unchanged.[3]

How do you progress through Restrictions?
3 parts
The recipes in the pack show five Restrictions items. None of them is crafted from another Restrictions item, so there is no tier ladder to climb. You can make any of them as soon as you have the materials, and all five are shaped crafting recipes.[3]
What the pack changed
Four of the five recipes are changed by the pack: Attractor, Pusher, One Way and One Way Wall. If you've seen the mod's default recipes elsewhere, don't trust them here. Use the ones below.[3]

Quests
Neither the Gotta Find Em' All chapter nor the Modular Routers chapter asks you for a Restrictions item, so there is no quest step to follow for this mod.[2][5]
Which All the Mons quests use Restrictions?
Here is the honest answer: in the quest chapters I could check, nothing asks you for anything from this mod. The tasks in the "Gotta Find Em' All" chapter (Cobblemon group) and in the "Modular Routers" chapter (Logistics group) only ask for items from other mods, and none of them use the restrictions namespace.[2][5]
The two chapters are about other things. "Gotta Find Em' All" covers Cobblemon exploration, fossil digging and fishing. "Modular Routers" is about item logistics, starting with the "Modular Routers" quest quest.[2][5]
Unverified Whether any other chapter of the pack's quest book has a task that involves this mod could not be confirmed from the quest data available for this guide.
