What is KeyBind Bundles?

Same as in the All the Mods 10 3.2 guide

KeyBind Bundles is part of this pack at version 1.2.1. It has been in the lineup since pack version 2.36 or earlier, so it isn't a new addition.[1]

Unverified The available sources don't describe what KeyBind Bundles adds, how it works, who it's aimed at, or where it fits in the pack's progression. Check it out in-game to see what it offers.

How do you get started with KeyBind Bundles?

2 parts

This one is a bit different from most mods in the pack: the sources I have for it only describe its screens and key bindings, with no items or crafting steps. So your first steps here happen in the controls, not at a crafting table.[2]

Your first steps

  1. Open the Key Bindings Screen. The mod adds a key binding called "Open Key Bindings Screen", so look for it in your controls list.[2]
  2. Use the "Add key bundle" button to create a bundle. Each bundle shows up as its own key binding named "Key bundle" followed by its number.[2]
  3. Use the "Edit" button to change a bundle, and "Select" to pick the one you want to use. A bundle that is already in use is marked "Selected".[2]
  4. Bind the "Open Bundle radial menu" key, so you can bring up the radial menu in game.[2]

Managing bundle entries

Once a bundle has entries, the tooltips tell you how to handle them. Left click edits an entry, and Shift plus left click deletes it. Right click moves an entry clockwise, and Shift plus right click moves it counterclockwise. That last pair is handy for putting your most-used entries where you want them in the radial layout.[2]

Tip: Deleting a whole bundle with the "Delete" button asks "Are you sure you want to delete this bundle?" first, so you get a chance to back out.[2]

Unverified No crafting recipes, quests or config files for this mod were found in the pack, so there is no confirmed list of items to make first. Default key assignments are also unconfirmed.

How does KeyBind Bundles work?

1 part

Same as in the All the Mods 10 2.36 guide

Heads up before you dive in: KeyBind Bundles isn't a tech mod, so this section has no machines, multiblocks, power or automation to cover. What the mod's own text does explain is how you manage the entries inside a bundle, so that's what we'll focus on.[3]

Managing bundle entries

A bundle holds a set of entries, and you edit them directly with mouse clicks. Plain clicks and Shift-clicks do different things, so it helps to know all four controls before you start rearranging.[3]

  • Left click an entry to edit it.[3]
  • Shift + Left click an entry to delete it.[3]
  • Right click an entry to move it clockwise.[3]
  • Shift + Right click an entry to move it counterclockwise.[3]
Watch out: Shift + Left click deletes an entry, while a plain Left click only edits it. If you're holding Shift to move entries counterclockwise with Right click, let go of Shift before you Left click, or you'll delete an entry instead of editing it.[3]

Since entries move clockwise and counterclockwise, you can think of their order as a loop. Right click and Shift + Right click let you step an entry either way around it until your bundle is laid out the way you like.[3]

Unverified The available sources don't explain how a bundle is opened, what an entry contains (such as a key binding or command), what editing an entry lets you change, how many entries a bundle can hold, or which key triggers a bundle. There are no config files or recipes for this mod in the pack, so no pack-specific changes can be confirmed.

Items and blocks

We can't match this mod to the pack's item list: it registers as keybindbundles, and the pack's recipe dump has nothing under that name. That means we found nothing, not that the mod adds nothing. Search the item browser
