What is IntegratedScripting?
Same as in the All the Mods 10 2.12 guide
IntegratedScripting is included in this pack at version 1.0.10, built for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge. If you see it in your mod list and wonder what it's doing there, this page tells you what we can confirm about it.[1]
It isn't a new addition. The pack has shipped it since version 0.49 or earlier, so it has been part of the pack for a long time.[1]
Unverified We don't have a guidebook, platform description or quest data for this mod, so what it does in detail, who it's best suited to, and where it fits in the pack's progression are unconfirmed. We also have nothing confirming a place on the ATM Star path, so don't assume you need it for that route. Check back once more details are documented.
How do you get started with IntegratedScripting?
5 parts
IntegratedScripting lets you write scripts to handle complex operations in Integrated Dynamics. The setup is short: you make a disk to hold scripts, a drive to put the disk on your network, and a terminal to write the scripts in. Here is the order I'd go in.[2]
Get some Mendesite
Mendesite is the basic resource for the mod, so it comes first. The mod even has an advancement for crafting a Mendesite block. It turns up in both the Scripting Disk recipe and the scripting terminal recipe below.[2][3]
Craft Scripting Disks
A Scripting Disk is what stores your scripting data. One craft gives you 8 of them.[2][3]

Build a Scripting Drive
The Scripting Drive exposes your Scripting Disks to the network. That is how your scripts get loaded into it. The recipe uses one of the disks you just made.[2][3]

Make the scripting terminal part
The Part Terminal Scripting is the terminal part you craft next. The recipe builds on Integrated Dynamics items, so you'll need some of that mod's parts and variable transformers already.[3]

Write your first script
The mod's advancements give you a good first-session checklist:[2]
- Open the Scripting Terminal GUI.[2]
- Create a script and bind it to a Variable Card.[2]
- Show a scripted value in a Display Panel.[2]
- Try filtering a list of items read from a chest with a script-based function.[2]
How does IntegratedScripting work?
7 parts
Integrated Scripting is an extension for Integrated Dynamics. Instead of building long chains of variable cards, you write scripts for the complex logic. Out of the box it supports JavaScript. Everything runs on three pieces that work together, and once you see how they fit, the rest of the mod is easy to follow.[2]
The three pieces: Terminal, Disk and Drive
- The Scripting Disk stores the raw script contents. On its own it can't do anything.[2]
- The Scripting Drive is a block you connect to your Integrated Dynamics network. It takes a single Scripting Disk and exposes that disk's contents to the network.[2]
- The Part Terminal Scripting lets you view, manage and edit all scripts in the current network that are exposed by Scripting Drives.[2][3]
So the flow is: put a disk in a drive, and use the terminal to write scripts on it. You can then bind those scripts to a Variable Card.[2]
Crafting the pieces
The disk recipe makes 8 Scripting Disks per craft, so you won't run short. Disks use Mendesite, a basic resource for this mod.[2][3]

How Scripting Disks work
A disk gets a unique numerical identifier once it has been inserted into a Scripting Drive. The terminal uses that identifier to modify the scripts on the disk. It is also how script elements get linked to Variable Cards.[2]
You can move a disk to another drive without losing any script data, even on a different network. Variable Cards that refer to the disk's identifier will start throwing errors once they are no longer on the same network as the disk.[2]
A disk has no storage size limit. Splitting your scripts across several disks is still recommended to keep things manageable.[2]
Editing scripts outside the game
If you have access to the file system where your game or server runs, you can edit scripts in any external editor. Script files live in the world/integratedscripting/ directory (inside saves/ for singleplayer worlds). That directory has a folder for each Scripting Disk, named by its id, and each folder holds that disk's script files.[2]
You can safely edit these files while the game is running. After you save externally, the game updates the script and the variables that depend on it. If your editor supports it, changes made in the Scripting Terminal also show up in your external editor.[2]
TypeScript typings
The mod only supports pure JavaScript, not TypeScript itself. It does provide a TypeScript typings file for all the global functions, value types and their methods, which you can load in an external IDE to get type-safe scripts. The file is at world/integratedscripting/integratedscripting.d.ts. It is regenerated on every world restart, so don't edit it by hand.[2]
Debugging with logs
For complex scripts you can call console.log() and console.error() to write to the standard out and standard error streams. The messages go to script-dependent .stdout and .stderr files. A script in myfile.js writes its log messages to myfile.js.stdout, for example. You can open these files from the Scripting Terminal or through external editing.[2]
Log files are capped in size. The mod's in-game book says the default limit is 2,096 lines, and to ask your server admin if you need more. This pack's value for that limit is unverified.[2]
Keeping state between calls
Integrated Dynamics is built on functional programming, so it has almost no way to keep state, apart from external tools like the Delayer. JavaScript mixes functional and imperative styles, so you get partial state tracking. If you declare a mutable variable outside your functions (using let, for example), your functions can change it between calls. That lets you count function calls or keep a running average.[2]
How do you progress through IntegratedScripting?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
IntegratedScripting has no formal tiers in this pack. What you get is a short crafting chain, and the drive builds directly on the disk. Here's the order I'd follow.[4]
First: Scripting Disk
Everything starts with the Scripting Disk. The pack's recipe for it uses Mendesite, so Mendesite is the gate for this part of the mod.[4]

Next: Scripting Drive
After that comes the Scripting Drive. Its recipe uses a finished Scripting Disk, so you have to make the disk first.[4]

Last: Scripting Terminal
The Part Terminal Scripting is the other piece. Its recipe also uses Mendesite, but it does not use the disk or the drive, so you can craft it whenever you have the materials.[4]

How does IntegratedScripting work with other mods?
3 parts
Same as in the All the Mods 10 8.1 guide
Everything this pack shows about how IntegratedScripting connects to other mods comes from recipes, and no quests involve it. The pattern is clear, though: IntegratedScripting is built on top of Integrated Dynamics. Its main items are crafted from Integrated Dynamics parts, and its Mendesite material is made in Integrated Dynamics machines.[4]
Scripting Terminal part
The Part Terminal Scripting is crafted from Integrated Dynamics pieces such as the Part Display Panel and the input and output variable transformers (Input Variable Transformer and Output Variable Transformer). It also uses Mendesite and redstone dust from the common dusts tag.[4]

Scripting Disk and Scripting Drive
The Scripting Disk is crafted from an Integrated Dynamics Variable Card and Mendesite. That ties your scripts directly to the variable system you already use in Integrated Dynamics.[4]

The Scripting Drive goes a step further. It builds on an Integrated Dynamics Variable Store, the Scripting Disk and a vanilla Jukebox.[4]

Mendesite and the Drying Basin
Mendesite is used in the recipes above, and the pack has Mendesite recipes that run in Integrated Dynamics machines: the Drying Basin and the Mechanical Drying Basin. They use Menril Resin and Andesite together with Mendesite.[4]
