What is Cobblemon Stone Statues?

3 parts

Cobblemon Stone Statues adds statue blocks to Cobblemon. It takes every Pokémon model in your pack, including fakemon and alternative versions like Megas and Hisuian forms, and gives each one a stone-like texture. It's a decoration and building mod, so it's a great pick if you want spawn areas, gardens or monuments full of your favorite Pokémon.[1]

The pack includes version 1.1 of the mod (the NeoForge build). It has been in the pack since 1.0.0 or earlier.[2]

What you can do with it

  • Pick any animation available in your files for that Pokémon, so the statue is posed just like in the animation.[1]
  • Choose the statue size: 0.5x, 1x, 2x or 3x.[1]
  • Rotate a statue by 45º, so you can place statues facing diagonally.[1]
  • Create statues with a Statue Chisel. In survival you also need 5 stones to start placing statues.[1]

Hitbox and multiplayer

Every statue has a 1 block hitbox, no matter the Pokémon's size or the statue size. The reason is that a player who has a different model for that Pokémon will see their own model on the statue. The mod's author suggests either leaving the 1 block hitbox as it is or placing barrier blocks to make a fake hitbox, so players can't walk through a big statue.[1]

Tip: Building something large with a 3x statue? Use barrier blocks around it so nobody walks through it.[1]
Watch out: The mod is required on both the server and the client. Cobblemon is the only dependency.[1]

Where it fits in the pack

Unverified I couldn't confirm any quests or ATM Star path steps involving this mod, so it doesn't appear to be part of the pack's progression. Treat it as an optional building and decoration extra.

How do you get started with Cobblemon Stone Statues?

3 parts

Cobblemon Stone Statues turns the Pokémon models in your game into stone statues, and getting started is simple: you only need one tool. The mod needs just Cobblemon to run, and it has to be installed on both the server and the client.[1]

Step 1: Craft the Statue Chisel

The Statue Chisel is the first thing to make, because you need it to create any statue. The pack changes this recipe, so follow the one below.[1][3]

This is the in-pack Statue Chisel recipe, which the pack has changed.

Step 2: Gather stone and place your first statue

The mod's project page says that in survival you need 5 stones to start placing statues, so gather some before you head out to build.[1]

Step 3: Customize the statue

The mod takes every Pokémon model in your pack, including fakemon and alternate versions like Megas and Hisuian forms, and gives it a stone-like texture. You can pick any animation available for that Pokémon, so the statue is posed the way you want.[1]

  • Size: choose from 0.5x, 1x, 2x or 3x.[1]
  • Rotation: you can turn a statue by 45º, which lets you make statues that face diagonally.[1]
Tip: Every statue has a hitbox of only 1 block, no matter the Pokémon or the statue size. The mod's author recommends leaving it that way or placing barrier blocks to build a fake hitbox, so players can't walk through a large statue.[1]
Watch out: Players see the statue using their own copy of the model. If someone has a different model for that Pokémon than you do, they will see theirs instead. That is the reason the hitbox stays at 1 block.[1]

How does Cobblemon Stone Statues work?

4 parts

Same as in the All the Mons 1.3.0 guide

Cobblemon Stone Statues is a simple, decorative mod. It has no machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item automation that the sources describe. What it does is turn the Pokémon models in your pack into stone statue blocks that you can pose and resize.[1]

What the statues are

The mod takes every Pokémon model in your pack, including fakemon and alternative versions like Megas and Hisuian forms. It gives each one a stone-like texture. Because it reads the models you have installed, the choice of statues depends on what is in your files.[1]

You can pick any animation you have for that Pokémon, and the statue is posed like that animation. You can also choose the size: 0.5x, 1x, 2x or 3x.[1]

Getting and placing statues

Everything starts with the Statue Chisel. The pack changes its crafting recipe, so use the recipe below rather than anything you remember from the mod's default.[1][4]

This is the pack's version of the Statue Chisel recipe, changed from the mod's default.

The mod's project page says that in survival you need 5 stones to start placing statues.[1]

You can also rotate a statue in 45º steps, so you can make statues that face diagonally.[1]

Hitboxes

Every statue has a 1 block hitbox, no matter which Pokémon it shows or how big you make it. The reason is that players who have a different model for that Pokémon will see their own model on the statue. The author recommends either leaving the 1 block hitbox as it is or placing barrier blocks around a large statue as a fake hitbox, so players can't walk through it.[1]

Tip: Making a 3x statue? Its hitbox is still just 1 block. Put barrier blocks around it if you don't want players walking through it.[1]

Multiplayer

The mod must be installed on both the server and the client. Cobblemon is the only dependency.[1]

How do you progress through Cobblemon Stone Statues?

The one progression step the sources confirm for Cobblemon Stone Statues is the Statue Chisel. It is a shaped crafting recipe, and the pack has changed it from the mod's default, so use the recipe below rather than anything you remember from other packs.[3]

This is the pack's changed recipe, not the mod default.

Because the recipe is shaped, the layout matters, so copy the grid shown above exactly.[3]

Unverified The sources here show no quests for this mod and no place for it on the ATM Star quest path, so this guide does not describe a quest-driven progression or any tiers. The Statue Chisel is the only crafting step confirmed.

What changed in Cobblemon Stone Statues between versions?

1 part

All the Mons 1.1.1 ships Cobblemon Stone Statues 1.1, using the NeoForge file cobblemonstonestatues-neoforge-1.1.jar. The mod has been in the pack since All the Mons 1.0.0 or earlier.[2]

Version 1.1 (the version in the pack)

  • A Gold Material option was added to the Statue Chisel UI so you can create gold statues. According to the mod's changelog, it requires 5 gold blocks in survival.[5]
  • Fixed a bug where servers crashed when the mod was installed, or didn't start up at all. If you run a server with this pack, this is the fix you want.[5]

Since the pack ships this version, both changes apply to you in All the Mons 1.1.1.[2][5]
