What is Cobblemon Stone Statues?
2 parts
Cobblemon Stone Statues lets you build statues of Pokémon. It picks up every Pokémon model in your pack, including fakemon and alternative versions like Megas and Hisuian forms. It gives them a stone-like texture, and you can choose any animation available for that Pokémon so the statue is posed the way you want. If you like decorating your base, towns or Pokémon-themed builds, this one is for you.[1]
This pack includes version 1.1 of the mod. It is required on both the server and the client, and Cobblemon is its only dependency.[1][2]
What you can do with it
- Pick any Pokémon model and any of its animations to set the pose.[1]
- Choose the statue size: 0.5x, 1x, 2x or 3x.[1]
- Rotate a statue by 45º, so you can make diagonal-facing statues.[1]
- In this pack, the quest also lists a choice between a Stone or Gold statue.[3]
Getting started
Everything starts with the Statue Chisel. The mod page says it is easy to craft. Right-click with it to select a Pokémon, then a pose, the material and the scale. In survival you need 5 Stone or 5 Gold Blocks in your inventory to place a statue. The pack's quest also points out that this chisel has no durability.[1][3]
You can follow the "Cobblemon Stone Statues" quest quest in the Building Tips chapter. It unlocks after the Decor Mods! quest, and its task is to obtain the chisel.[3]
How do you get started with Cobblemon Stone Statues?
4 parts
Getting started with Cobblemon Stone Statues takes exactly one item: the Statue Chisel. The pack has a quest for it, "Cobblemon Stone Statues" quest, in the Building Tips chapter. It comes after the Decor Mods! quest.[1][3]
Step 1: Craft the Statue Chisel
The pack changes the Statue Chisel recipe, so use the one below and don't assume the mod's default. The quest's task is the Statue Chisel itself.[3][4]
Crafting Shaped
| Empty slot | any iron ingot |
| any plank | Empty slot |
Recipe id: cobblemonstonestatues:statue_chisel
This is the pack's version of the recipe, which differs from the mod's default.
The quest also says this chisel has no durability, so you only need to make it once.[3]
Step 2: Gather your statue blocks
To place a statue you need 5 Stone or 5 Gold Blocks in your inventory. Which one you need depends on the material you pick for the statue.[3]
Step 3: Set up and place a statue
- Right click with the Statue Chisel to select a Pokémon.[3]
- Pick one of that Pokémon's possible poses.[3]
- Choose whether the statue is made of Stone or Gold.[3]
- Choose the scale. The mod offers 0.5x, 1x, 2x and 3x.[1][3]
The mod builds statues from the Pokémon models in your game, including fakemon and alternative versions like Megas and Hisuian forms. You can also rotate a statue by 45º, which lets you face it diagonally.[1]
Good to know
How does Cobblemon Stone Statues work?
4 parts
Cobblemon Stone Statues is a simple, decorative mod. It has no machines, multiblocks, power, fluids or item automation that the sources describe. What it does is turn the Pokémon models in your pack into stone statue blocks that you can pose and resize.[1]
What the statues are
The mod takes every Pokémon model in your pack, including fakemon and alternative versions like Megas and Hisuian forms. It gives each one a stone-like texture. Because it reads the models you have installed, the choice of statues depends on what is in your files.[1]
You can pick any animation you have for that Pokémon, and the statue is posed like that animation. You can also choose the size: 0.5x, 1x, 2x or 3x.[1]
Getting and placing statues
Everything starts with the Statue Chisel. The pack changes its crafting recipe, so use the recipe below rather than anything you remember from the mod's default.[1][4]
Crafting Shaped
| Empty slot | any iron ingot |
| any plank | Empty slot |
Recipe id: cobblemonstonestatues:statue_chisel
This is the pack's version of the Statue Chisel recipe, changed from the mod's default.
The mod's project page says that in survival you need 5 stones to start placing statues.[1]
You can also rotate a statue in 45º steps, so you can make statues that face diagonally.[1]
Hitboxes
Every statue has a 1 block hitbox, no matter which Pokémon it shows or how big you make it. The reason is that players who have a different model for that Pokémon will see their own model on the statue. The author recommends either leaving the 1 block hitbox as it is or placing barrier blocks around a large statue as a fake hitbox, so players can't walk through it.[1]
Multiplayer
The mod must be installed on both the server and the client. Cobblemon is the only dependency.[1]
How do you progress through Cobblemon Stone Statues?
3 parts
This mod keeps progression simple. The sources show one tool, the Statue Chisel, and a choice between Stone and Gold statues made with it. There are no tool tiers to climb.[3][4]
Where the quest fits
The quest "Cobblemon Stone Statues" quest sits in the Building Tips chapter and comes after the Decor Mods! quest. Its task is to get the Statue Chisel.[3]
Crafting the chisel
The pack has changed the Statue Chisel recipe, so don't rely on what you remember from the mod's defaults. This is the recipe the pack uses:[4]
Crafting Shaped
| Empty slot | any iron ingot |
| any plank | Empty slot |
Recipe id: cobblemonstonestatues:statue_chisel
This is the pack's changed recipe for the chisel.
Stone or gold statues
The quest text describes how the chisel works. Right click with it to select a Pokémon, then pick one of its possible poses. After that you choose whether the statue is made of Stone or Gold, and set its scale to make it bigger or smaller.[3]
- Stone statue: you need 5 Stone Blocks in your inventory to place it.[3]
- Gold statue: you need 5 Gold Blocks in your inventory to place it.[3]
- The chisel has no durability, so you don't need to replace it.[3]
Which All the Mons quests use Cobblemon Stone Statues?
1 part
This mod has just one quest in the pack, and it sits in the Building Tips chapter. It's a short one, but it explains how the whole mod works.[3]
Cobblemon Stone Statues
The quest "Cobblemon Stone Statues" quest has a single task, which is the Statue Chisel. It unlocks after the Decor Mods! quest in the same chapter, so you'll reach it as you work through the decoration mods.[3]
The quest text walks you through making a statue. Right click with the Statue Chisel and you pick these in turn:[3]
- Choose the Pokémon you want to turn into a statue.[3]
- Choose one of that Pokémon's possible poses.[3]
- Choose whether the statue is made of Stone or Gold.[3]
- Choose the scale, which lets you make the statue bigger or smaller.[3]
What changed in Cobblemon Stone Statues between versions?
1 part
All the Mons 1.3.0 ships Cobblemon Stone Statues 1.1 (the NeoForge build). The mod has been in the pack since All the Mons 1.0.0 or earlier.[2]
Cobblemon Stone Statues 1.1
- New Gold Material option in the Statue Chisel UI, so you can make gold statues. In survival it requires 5 gold blocks.[5]
- Fixed a bug where servers crashed when the mod was installed, or didn't start up at all.[5]
That is the only mod changelog I have for this mod, so I can't say what earlier versions changed.[5]
